Email Option Confusion

I just upgraded my "wife's" phone to an ENV2, and am confused as to the email options - do I have the following assumptions correct?

$15/month = Mobile Web / VCAST PAK
Does this only provide access via Mobile Web Email?

$5/month = Mobile Email: This is a download. What advantage does this have over the mobile web email interface? From playing in the store it seemed more "friendly" than the mobile web email.

If I don't have the Mobile Web / VCAST Pak, then I'm gonna pay $1.99 MB when using Mobile Email? Does this add up very quickly?

She doesn't really "need" email on her phone, but it would be nice if not too expensive. I looked at SmartPhones (i.e. Centro, Blackberry), but couldn't really justify another $30 month - and sh...

Help needed

I just bought 2 Moto W755 phones for my wife and daughter.

Even though the menu Settings & Tools, Sound Settings, Power On/Off, Power On (and Power Off) are set to off, my phones announce "Verizon Wireless" when they're turned on. They also announce "Verzion Wireless" when a call is received and then start playing the ring tone.

Any way to stop this phone from saying "Verizon Wireless" all the time?

Is the iPhone 3G really worth........

Today I spoke with a customer who wanted to get his account number. I asked why he needed that and he stated he was taking his numbers (5) to AT&T. When I asked why, he said he desperately wanted the iPhone and that our LG Dare was quote "garbage".

I explained that he was under contract on all lines, and that ETF's would total $725 ($145 per line), then reminded him that the iPhone is $199 (he mentioned he was getting 3 of them). I mean, that's $1322!!! 😲

In todays economy, is the phone really that fantastic that you are willing to put down over $1300 just to get it?? Someone please enlighten me!!

Boulder recall!

OK, that got your attention, didn't it.

Seriously, though, how many complaints and to whom does it take to get a recall? As I've said, I like the idea of this phone and its construction, but battery and sound are so poor I imagine thousands will be complaining to Verizon.

Would they consider issuing a recall?

You Really Need Bitpim To Use Verizon!!!

I'm still new to Verizon, but I have realized what people were talking about with Verizon limiting everything. But when I found Bitpim that helped me get past all of that. This is not me promoting a product or anything, I'm doing this because someone mention Bitpim to me and that has helped me out a lot.

So if you have a Verizon phone and want to unlock the features. Make your own Wallpaper, transfer movies & ringtones. I would suggest getting Bitpim. It's free.

This won't unlock everything. I still hate the idea that I can't stream live MP3 radio without using ORB and my computer. But hopefully soon Verizon will offer that feature on a Non-PDA phone.

This site helped me figure out how to use Bitbim:

Call forwarding...

Can it be done from carrier to carrier? I just set up a family member with a VZW phone and I want them to have their calls forwarded from their T-Mobile #.

Also...there's no such thing as forwarding texts correct?

Thank you. 😁

OTA and Test Calls

I've noticed two trends during when doing OTA and test calls that kinda bug me.

The first is very common. Basically, when doing the OTA on any phone, the customer will say, "It says PROGRAMMING IN PROCESS." They say this, despite it actually saying PROGRAMMING IN PROGRESS.

The second is considerably less common, but infinitely more annoying. You're doing a test call, and the customer jokingly says, "Can you hear me now?" and laughs. Obviously, I have to pretty much jokingly laugh along with them, but man...I die a little bit inside every time that I hear that. XD

VZ Navigator Question

Does anyone know whether Verizon gets a signal in Mt. Ranier National Park and in Olympic National Park, in Washington, so that VZ Navigator can be used in those areas? Thanks in advance.

W755 help with alert reminder

I have this phone set to vibrate only and have set missed call and voicemail to vibrate, with a reminder every 2 minutes. Yet, it does not vibrate every 2 minutes. It does make a soft click sound instead. Otherwise, vibrate works when receiving a call.

Does anyone have any suggestions or is there just something wrong with the phone?

Verizon tech support has no clue. Motorola admits that it is supposed vibrate as set. I tested the demo phone in the store...doesn't do it. And a tech support rep tested one, and it doesn't do it either.
