What is my best option...

I am eligible for an upgrade in a month and I want a new phone. What do you all recommend would be the best phone out? I have read all of the reviews and I went to the store and I really like the env2 because I really like the keyboard.
I had the Env and I had to file an insurance claim and got the Samsung Alias...I like the phones with the QWERTY keyboard because I text so much...
What do you think? Im not trying to be rude but if you are going to reply to this and just talk bad about VZW then dont even waste your time. I just want some advice...thats all.

DARE Question

My New Every Two agreement is not due until mid January 2009, but I would like to upgrade early. If I upgrade now to the DARE, I would have to pay full retail which I think is about $415. Does anyone know where I can purchase a new DARE phone at a cheaper rate? Are phones sold on E-bay reliable? Any help you can provide is much appreciated, thanx...

PETER GRIFFIN

Does anyone know if he is liking his Sprint service? He spent a long time complaining about VZW that he went to Sprint and I am curious to know if its all he wanted.

discontinued lg vx8700

So I just bought the lg venus yesterday. The touch screen gimmick is already starting to annoy me. I know there have been several threads touching upon the purchase of a discontinued product.

I was wondering what I would have to do if I'm currently on one of the verizon family plans. My contract for my old phone ran out a year ago so I wouldn't have to worry about that, but would there be a fee for activating a discontinued phone? What would be the process? What kind of customer care would I get from verizon, if any?

thanks

Centro data plan

Do you have to buy a data plan if you buy the Centro? My internet usage is not heavy and I was going to stick with a pay-as-you-go plan. I was planning on upgrading to the Chocolate 3 as my main phone and then having a Centro as well with the family plan, but using the pay-as-you-go data plan for both.

BB Question

I am about to buy a blackberry pearl and was wondering which bb plan to get

I need a plan that covers downloading from the internet. I do not need corprate service.

My question is I guess
Will the 29.99 BB plan cover downloading from the internet?

Or do I need to the higher priced plan?

stick with voyager or try new phone

Hey everybody,

My voyager keeps doing what i think is called "power cycling" which it turns off randomly usually when I'm in a call or using messenger services. Anywho, i was given the option to get a new phone of my choice since I've replaced this phone like 4 times already. Do any of you tech savvy vzw techs out there know if this can be fixed or should i just give up and get a new phone?

If a new phone is what i should do what do u guys think is the best phone out there right now thats reliable, and good for web, mms, gps, ims, etc. everybody keeps talking about a blackberry but i think i would have to change my plan for that phone.

Appreciate any feedback

SUNNY 😁

Army SF? Comparing BB Curve and Moto Adventure?

I was wondering how you would compare call quality and reception between the BB Curve and the new Moto Adventure? I had been waiting to get my husband the Boulder now...am not due to its problems...and I am going to get him the Adventure as I am sure he will enjoy it I am sure when he gets back from deployment especially after having to use a POS overseas sketchy phone for the past year. I also am going to be getting a new one and am deciding between the Curve and Adventure.....and if memory serves me correctly from reading this forum...you have had both....Thank you in advance.

Thunder Question.

Since it's supposed to be a global phone, couldn't you just pop in a ATT or T-MO sim? It would have both EVDO & HSPDA radios in it right? How exclusive is it, really? I was just wondering.

Any way to save VCast Videos to My Videos?

I have the new V9m flash with VCast for a while and wondering what happened to the "Save to My Videos" feature. What happens to the streaming video?

On the V3c you could save the video and play it again, like a song or a ringtone.

Any new smartphones coming soon and with dates?

I am tired of seeing the coming Q3 statement. Does anyone one have any official dates for any smartphones coming soon. Sprint is getting a couple this month.

Good frickin' bye

As many of the chatters here (because everything else is firewalled) know, things are being adjusted and lots of those chatters are going to become customer service reps very soon.

Since it means we won't be able to get on Phonescoop any more, I'd like to say so long and farewell because I'm SO not going to be here while I'm at home.

Before I go - anyone left in chat, enjoy Froggers and Space Invaders on www.smashing.com while you still can!

http://www2.phonescoop.com/forums/forum.php?ff=5&fp=110 » should get you to the Shop Talk forum if you're firewalled.

I'll see you on the other side ;)

Verizon is doing something right!

VZW tops latest J.D. Power customer care study.

Allie Winter

Story posted: August 14, 2008 - 1:05 pm EDT

Verizon Wireless ranked highest in J.D. Power and Associates’ 2008 Wireless Customer Care Performance study. The results, which normally find T-Mobile USA Inc. on top, included more than 11,000 respondents and were based on three areas, including telephone calls with a service representative and/or automated response system (ARS), visits to a retail wireless store, and via the Internet. Customers were especially impressed with Verizon Wireless’s ability to resolve a problem in one contact.

What drives most customers crazy — waiting on hold — has begrudgingly increased overall. The industry-wide average a...
