You know I really thought about this new iPhone thing since I own a mac it makes sense.

Then this morning I get a call from my mom who was at the verizon store, my mom who is on my family plan dropped her phone in water this morning as her home was flooding. She didn't have insurance on the phone, but Verizon verified with me the account info and gave her a replacement on the spot.

That is customer service that I never got with TMO, and I sure as hell would not get with ATT. So I just wanted to say thank you to the Verizon folks on here, this was truely above and beyond.

Is it possible to buy an In-pulse type phone at a store and take it home and activate it on line with a contract account? Will that work? My son drowned his Venus and I'm not looking to replace it with an expensive phone at this point given his propensity for destroying expensive phones...thanks for any help you can give me...

Many Alltel customers do not want to pay Verizon's higher rates or lose My Circle. Those who are month to month are staying there so thy can port out of they fine they will be treated the like SureWest buyout customers.

If you go and compare the maps on the company websites Sprint has very little footprint across America, but a lot of roaming. And in most of those areas they roam on Sprint or another CDMA carrier US celluar or Alltel (which by the end of the year is Verizon). Now the reason that Sprint wants to cancel people who roam frequently is that those roaming agreements are more expensive then if you where making calls on there network. Unfortunately, the Sprint network is sparse compared to Verizon and they never fully developed their own network. That is one reason among many that there churn numbers are so high. I heard a rumor yesterday that Rev A is going to launch on July 1st. Anyone know if this is true? That would be sweet because then the new PTT network will also launch! Great things happening in Verizon land!

So starting the 16th, there will be no more advanced device discount credits that require you to get a data plan on a smart phone to get the extra savings. Some people fear this but after looking at the pricing, it is acutally quite a good thing.

The Advanced Device Credit(ADC) was a credit that a customer got off the purchase price of a phone with a standard upgrade(20 or 10 month with a 2yr or 1yr contract) either $100 for a primary line/single line with voice plan of 39.99 or higher, and $50 on all secondary lines. It was great for people who wanted to get the data plan ($30-45 per month).

We have the best in everything....we get paid the best money in the industry, we get the best phones given to us to play with and with our concession accts we can keep some of these phones forever....we get perks and prizes all the time just for doing our job....our employees are FAR more intelligent and educated, our handsets are kicking att little hiney all over the street, and we now have the largest network out there



Maybe ATT can just admit now they are 2nd best and we can all get along.

ok... so that's all i ask, but i am gonna put in my two cents

1. 95% of people don't care about worldwide coverage, if they do ATT is a better option, but if they don't.... verizon is a better option since we both know that CDMA is a better technology.

2. You got phones, we got phones... some are better than others... deal with it. I can't use a N95 and you can't use a voyager.. its ok

Hey guys.. im tryin to creat some ringtones for my Curve... i know how to get music files and all for my ringtones but how do I creat the "30 second clips"

I just loaded the BB software into my comp... i have my music in there, but i don't know how to cut the files into ringtones... Help?

So logging into one of my accounts I see that I can get the new centro for 79.99 on a one year upgrade with a $70 rebate. If I went with a 2 yr. 49.99 with a $70 rebate... Make money? didn't think that was possible. Anyone else notice this? Seems to good to be true!
