Env 2 ....is it worth it?

A lot of reviews are out and most of them that I have read are very positive with a few being disappointed about the bugs...ie: pocket dialing, weak vibrate, phone turning off by itself....but I was wondering how the people who own it or have used it on this forum like it? Is the reception panning out to be pretty good...as I am in a house that has a HUGE problem getting reception...but I would like the full Qwerty. I was thinking of the Curve but since I really don't need the email feature to go about my daily life, I figured why spend the extra 30$ right now....anyways is the ENV2 a good alternate choice? Thank you.

The most annoying response ever!

I'm a rep, and I'm not having a bad day. However, I get SO annoyed when I customer does not get one thing done and then threatens with cancelation. "I've been a customer for 10 years, and I pay my bill (which I signed up for, and we provide a service for) and I deserve everything under the sun." Annoying, and greedy but I guess that is America for you. It just makes me feel more like hanging up, because as a consumer I pay for my services to yet when something goes wrong I don't just call their Customer Care to demend compensation for every small thing. Its time people grow up.

don't think it's the tech you like. I think it's what the tech allows you to do, namely switch phones out easily. If CDMA used sim cards you would be singing its praises.

The main reason to have a cell phone is to make and receive calls. We are just now entering an area where wireless email and internet access is becoming the norm.

VZW competes on quality and not price. That is why the network quality is advertised the way it is. That is why their is a common UI. It is cheaper and easier to teach customer service employees one user interface for troubleshooting purposes. This also makes it easier for people that switch phones. You may not like it, but you aren't the average cell user. Like it or not, everybody on this site is pretty...

Here's a real topic that actually needs an answer

So the 5800, 6800, and the MOT Q's PDA data plans dropped to 29.99 ("internet & email plan", right?)

So I'm asking this question because I have yet to see any further info on this topic at work:

Has the $30 plan been expanded to any other non-blackberry pda yet?

Engadget says the Palm Centro (which launches tomorrow-- all channels) will be able to be put on the $30 plan. Like I said, I haven't seen any announcements of this at work, so I was wondering if anybody has any concrete answer.

It'd be great to:

A) Sell an affordable PDA
B) Consumer-friendly price point for the data plan

On the contrary:
A) It's still a PALM device...yeck.
B) The Curve is a rock star.

Thanks in advance for any non-BS answers. 👀

Music Question for VZ?

Can't find any info on it...

But I have a customer looking for a phone that can support music files in .aa format. I'm not sure what .aa is, but I know that some of our phones support aac and aac+ files. Any idea if any of our phones will work?

Thanks in advance!

VZW global options...hello haters

Yes verizon has global options. Check www.vzwrentinternational.com and check the specs. You can rent a global phone if you're going abroad for more then 30 days and if its less than that, you only pay to have the phone shipped. You activate that phone with your number and pay the same roaming rates as you would with another carrier. So what do have to say now haters? ...The King

MOTO Q music 9m vs. 9c

Can someone tell me the difference in the VZW 9c and 9m? According to the VZW website comparison, these look like pretty much the same phone. What would make me pick one over the other? I am mainly interested in the ability to get email/browse and keep my life organized.... I mean, I already have an ipod and don't really want to kill my phone battery playing music... however, that might be kind of cool....

Is Verizon's "Any Device, Any App" policy in effect yet? Will the phone I want work?

Hello. Well ummm, this is my dilemma. Our family wanted to switch to a new carrier from T-Mobile. As a (somewhat) democratic family, we decided to make a vote on it... 1 for Sprint (me, of course), and 3 for Verizon. I wasn't too pleased with that, but I was hoping that I could at least use the phone I want. The Samsung SPH-A900, despite how old and not-so-good it is (in terms of battery), is the phone I am thinking of. Now, I was wondering if Verizon's "Any Device, Any App" policy was in effect. If it is, how would I get the A900 working with Verizon, if possible. Exactly what features would I be missing if I were to do so?

I guess if I couldn't use the phone, I could at least look forward to Metal Gear Solid Mobile. My favorite game ser...

Verizon buyout of Alltel speculation.

Ok. Seriously. Come on. The buyout of alltel by Verizon was just announce a few weeks ago. Tons of details are being hammered out. Nowhere is it said by an official source that the "My Circle" plans are going to go away when the purchase is complete.

It is safe to say that a majority of people on alltel are on the my circle plans. They are great plans. Why would Verizon alienate them? It does not make business sense. Yes, Verizon is in it for the money since they are a business, but I am sure, worst case scenario, they will grandfather the exsisting customers so they can keep it as long as they want.

Today Verizon announced a type of my circle for their small business customers. I read this as a precursor to a company wide roll o...
