Advance Device Credit clarification

So the $100 instant credit for buying a PDA program is being retired, but most pricing is going down by around $80 or so and the MIR are increasing in value. So don't worry, the net pricing is similar you just have to spend more at the point of sale and mail away for a rebate.

I feared that the $100 credit was gone altogether but I found some clarity. 🙂

Any experience on both the Pearl and the 6900

I currently use the 6700 (archaic I know), and I love the functionality. But Blackberrys are so user-friendly and easy to troubleshoot. I have had my eye on the Pink Pearl, but now I'm tossed up between that and the 6900. Is there anyone out there that has used them both to give me an honest comparison? I am very familiar with the phones and the services and they would both suit my needs, I just can't decide. I'm not all-too excited about all touch screen. I know it's the latest greatest, but to go without some sort of keyboard doesn't appeal to me too much. Also the BB pricing is lower for data. Sounds like I'm making a compelling argument for the Blackberry eh? But I would still like an educated recommendation. Thanks 🙂

Maybe if you were less of a Sprint homer people might like you better.

When Verizon has over 80 million customers with the Alltel merger and another 10 million Sprint customers leave Sprint and come to Verizon what will Sprint do?

I'm going to dinner then watching the Lakers defeat the Celtics have

Sprint: Sure the signal and CS may suck, but by far the best value. 7 4.90%

T-Mobile: My Favs is almost as good as my circle, plus its GSM! 8 5.59%

I challenge you to name all the reason why ATT/GSM are a better value than Verizon Wireless.

VZW Centro not as good as Sprint's and AT&T's??

I heard that Verizon's Centro will lack features that is on Sprint's and AT&T's. Like TV. Also what colors will it be coming in? And why does VZW wait so long to release this phone? It's been out at Sprint for 9 months and AT&T for 6 months. I heard Sprint has a second version of the centro coming out this summer and a Treo 800w.

Please help...

Verizon reps...my bf has the original Env. He opened his account with this phone In april of last year, 2007. He loves the phone…the form, the functionality, the looks-everything. The only thing he doesn’t like is that the phone shuts off while he is using applications-mainly the web, IM, and GIN services. He has taken the phone In many times to a direct VZW store and had the software version flashed, had the tech people take it apart look at it, and finally, on April 25 of this year, they replaced it (I think this is called an FRU?) in the store with a brand new EnV. There was no water damage or anything (obviously, or I don’t think they would have replaced it). But they made him keep his old battery off the original phone. ...

Blackberry/Crackberry Vs the World :)

I've never had a blackberry but always wondered why they had the most loyal fanbase out there. (that's why they call them crackberries lol)

Can you guys tell me what's so special about blackberries that other smart phones like palm and iphone don't have, and why people who have a blackberry refuse to buy any other phone brand? No trolling and no carrier wars, I really want to know because I am thinking of getting a smart phone when I get tired of my Voyager... 😁

VZW is the best carrier in America.

VZW has some flaws, just like any company. However, when compared to the rest of the carriers on

network quality
customer service
handset selection
public perception

VZW is the best and their is no argument. I think people try to point out the flaws and state that VZW is not the best when EVERYONE knows this isn't true.

That said, fixing said flaws will cause VZW to have customers that are even MORE loyal.

Thank you and good day.

Sprint or Verizon?: I might just stay on America's most reliable network

Two weeks ago I went into a Sprint store to check out the Blackberry Curve 8330 and maybe switch from Verizon to Sprint. However, they had no curves in stock. The sales representative took my name and number and said she would call me when they received a new shipment. I still haven't heard from that representative and probably never will so I decided to call Sprint customer service. After going through layers of menus I finally got a live person in a foreign country (choppy English, etc sounded like India) and she didn't understand what I wanted. Finally, she got it and put me on hold to find out. Next thing I know I hear clicks and I am listening to "if you want to make a call please hang up and dial again", disconnected. So I call back ag...

Vzw gsm

Look I have been hearing some people in here talk about vzw not having gsm or only having a couple gsm phones and oo they are only good in the us. You know what who cares!! Most people may think They are cool to have a world phone or gsm phone that would work if they go overseas but you know going on one European vaca in 5 years is no need to have a gsm phone. Most people round these parts go to the Caribbean or mexico and guess what---they work. Another thing, whether you have att or tmobile and go overseas its still as expensive as hell to use it! Get a prepaid phone and shut up.

What can a Curve do that others can't?

I am tossing around the idea of getting a Curve. I know I do not need one for work and I don't really get that many "urgent" personal emails that would need my attention when I can't get to my home computer...so can Curve or Blackberry users tell me what benefits that the Curve would give me other than the obvious email. I do text a lot and talk on the phone as a phone and would probably surf the web if I had it....the other phone I am thinking of is an Env2 because of the full qwerty. I am just not sure having the Curve is worth the extra 29.99 a month if I don't really need email. Any non trolling thoughts? Thank you.
