Is Verizonwireless a cult?

Ok so let's put all the facts together.

In calling..
In texting..
Verizon restricts functions on phones...
Uses brew instead of java
Etc..

People say to me all the time that they cannot text or call that person because they are not "IN" Sounds a little like a cult to me.
In my opinion, if a person feels restricted to only talk to Verizon customers in fear of being heavily billed sounds cultish.
Next thing in the news I suspect Verizon to ask for tax exempt status.

Samsung Instinct?

I read that Verizon is coming out with an iPhone killer called Instinct. Is that true? It was on another site. Should be better than the cruddy Touch.

CWCANTY ET AL

For all of you complaining that trolls have been the main factor in scaring off true members, while that may be true one of the main reasons others have run off is the attitude with which you guys answer the forum posts.

I am tired of asking a question and being called "noob" or replied to with the answer like "go google it" but I expect that from boards filled with 13 yr olds.

It's sad when this board, full of supposed VZW employees answer tartly to an opinion made by someone else trying to participate on this board. While I may have a life and not spend all of it researching cell phones, I feel I do have a voice for all the casual VZW customers out there that have better things to do than debate whether the Curve or the Touch are b...

Hey CWcanty

First off, I work for VZW. Love working for them. Second, I read the posts calling you out and I do not think you are a problem of any sorts. Now, for my question. In your opinion, what makes the Blackberry so good?

Red Hot Deal

Can someone explain the catch??

On the Verizon home page it says learn more on this deal so i clicked that button.

All it says is get 50% off text messaging phones and get unlimited texting to anyone on any network all with a new 2yr agreement. This sounds to good to be true.

I read the small print and it didnt say you had to pay the monthly fee for unlimited texting.

Can someone shed some light or clear things up for me??

Thanks in advance.

what's wrong with your marketing?

very sad. could a commercial get any worse? there's people singing to a xmas tune with ridiculously changed words. the poor asian guy looks like he much rather be dead than accepting a phone from the people coming to his door. out of all the Vz commercials I've seen, this one is the worst.

A customer's peeve

I received a phonecall today from a Verizon retail store "informing" me that my phone and my wife's phone are elligible for upgrade. I then informed the salesman that my phone is NOT elligible and that my wife knows her phone is elligible. "Let me check", he responded. I told him to check it on his own time, that I don't care to have my monthly allowance of minutes taken up by cold calls from a Verizon salesman trying to drum up business.

If Verizon wants to make calls for such a purpose, it should do so without such calls being charged against the customer's monthly allowance.

MMS on VZ Curve

I'm not sure if it's been posted yet. But does anyone know if the MMS problem has been fixed yet on the VZ Curve?

Blackberry Bold

I have been very excited about the Curve. Now, I see this phone and I am hoping that Verizon will be one of the first on the block to make them available.

A little irritated...

So I just has a lady call into my store, she currently has Alltel but wanted to switch and was asking me about the differences. One thing I pointed out was how great VZW coverage is and that we are a National Carrier. She proceeds to ask me about our coverage, she is confused because when she spoke with an Alltel rep they told her they covered about 95% of the US and she would get significantly less coverage with VZW. I was so annoyed, first I don't think Alltel covers 95% of the US and VZW and Alltel's coverage is pretty much the same, we roam off each other and VZW has much more "home" areas. I'm not one to bash other carriers just to get the sale so this kind of stuff really irk's me, oh well I guess, it's sales.

Sprint dropped another 1.09 million subscribers in Q1

Q 1 2008 wasn't a pretty one for Sprint. The company lost 1.09 million subscribers to the competition, while also losing a bit of ground on its average revenue per customer, now at $56 a month. Sprint's got 52.8 subscribers left to squander work with, so we'll see if initiatives like a potential Nextel spinoff or the upcoming Samsung Instinct (pictured) can do anything to staunch the bleeding.

well sprint is still doing very well IMO 🤣

Best Verizon Bluetooth Phone

Just a simple question, what is the best VZW bluetooth phone? I've had a VX8300 for the past 2 years and it's bluetooth SUCKS!!! It's always got to be re-initialized in the menus to work, and after 2 calls, it switches rapidly between the headset and handset OR drops it completely. I have a Jabra BT8040 BTW

So, please tell me, which phone has a bluetooth system that isn't schizophrenic?

If the Moto e815 is so great why not get one off ebay

I did not have one but in looking on ebay for phones noticed that you can get a brand new Motorola e815 for like 85$. I see a ton of review for different phones that say the Motorola e815 was the best phone...so why don't people just replace their old or dead e815 with a new one from ebay? just wondering?

I was all excited for the enV2 until....

I saw a picture of that ugly thing!
I saw it in the store. It is sooooo ugly! GROSS! It looks like a dollar store calculator.

I tried the enV about 6 months ago. I really liked it except for the small front screen and the camera hump on the back with the stupid lens cover!

When I heard and enV2 was coming out I was so excited. I thought for sure it would have a larger front screen and no camera hump.... wow i was wrong.

this one is worse. its ugly, has practically no front screen, has weird buttons, and a dedicated MUSIC instead of Messages!!!! wtf

overall i think it was a waste of an invention!

I hope they make the enVIII and I hope it is way better!

Some people (like me) actually use the inside and the outside ...

Curve in more colors?

Is VZW gonna release the Curve in more colors? I love the black Curve. The silver is not too attractive in my opinion. Especially with the black keys.
