HTC Touch

OK, I did a search, I promise! I try not to write too much on here, because everyone seems to think that person should have found the answer in another section. But I don't see anything recent posted on this. I remember hearing rumors maybe at the end of last year that Verizon might be getting the Touch. I never paid much attention, cuz I didn't think I cared. However, was looking at it on Alltel's website yesterday and it looks SWEET! I've heard of a lot of new phones that might possibly be coming out, but haven't heard anything about the Touch. Anyone heard any rumors or know anything? Thanks!

I must come clean before I leave

I am actually apc874,Brown27,ArmySF,newtothis30,cwcanty,fre edomcapcity, llama, and greenjeep, and well, you all know many of my other names, some that were banned, and others that weren't.

I am sorry that I caused you all trouble. I think I really over did it, and I also posted too much information on myself on this site. Too many people know who Ramon P. Carroll III is and now I need to walk away while I can still breathe. Good bye all. Rich, and Eric, thank you for all you've done to keep phonescoop.com running. Thank you for listening to all of my suggestions, and for putting up with me and my shenanigans. Good luck!

Sincerely,

Ramon P. Carroll III

Left Verizon Wireless for Sprint

Well I have been with Verizon Wireless from 1999/2000 up until 2008 (yesterday as a matter of fact). I first started out with them in Ohio (during college) and brought Verizon back home with me when I moved back to Missouri.

Overall, I was happy with the company. I am a cheap skate and I found out you were not able to get too many freebies with Verizon such as free ring tones (through 3rd party websites or blue tooth transfer). In Missouri, I did not have too much luck using Verizon as my only phone. I was living in an apartment about 3 years ago and tried to make it a go with having Verizon as my only phone. That did not work out too well. I was not able to get good coverage inside my Apt. but once I got outside it worked wonderful...

lg8300

I have had a lot of phones. And I have to admit, yesterday I bought an LG8300 outright. I still love this phone! I love that it's loud, I love that it is the phone I can text the fastest on, and I love the fact that I can do individual text ringtones. I go through phones like every other month, really, and I am just really in love with my 8300 again and thought I would share! 😁

YOu guys owe Google a hearty THANK YOU!!!

Because of Google Verizon will finally have a totally open network.

However..... if I know Verizon from their past, they will charge premium prices to access it and screw it up finding more ways to squeeze pennies from their flock.

Verizon Employee threatened customer with KNIFE

Cops say clerk at Verizon store in Monticello threatened 2 customers with knife
March 24, 2008 6:00 AM

MONTICELLO — A store clerk was arrested after police said he threatened two customers with a switchblade knife.
Police said Shereem S. Burch, 27, of Monticello, a clerk at the Verizon Wireless store on Broadway, got into an argument last Friday evening with two customers, a 30-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman. The argument continued out into the parking lot, where police said Burch threatened the man and woman with a knife.
Burch, who was charged with criminal possession of a weapon, a felony, is free on $7,500 bail and is due back in Village Court on Friday.

ESPM MVP On The Moto Z6TV

I just upgraded to the Motorola Z6TV. The phone is a VCAST capable phone, but I can’t figure out how to download the ESPN MVP service. On my old RAZR, and my wife’s new KRAZR the following path is used to download ESPN MVP. Get It Now => Tools On The Go => Get New App => then download the service. The problem is ESPN MVP does not show up as an application that can be downloaded on my Z6TV. I also checked inside all the other menus in the catalog, but no luck. This afternoon I stopped by a VZW store for help, but the reps at the store could not figure it out. They told me to dial *611, then option 3 and request to have my phone reset. This did not work. I then spoke to a CS rep on the phone, but they could not figure it out...

Who knows when this comes out? Do you think the price of the regular env (orange) will go down at that time? My son is due for a new every two and I don't know if he should wait or buy the orange now. Will the 9100 be better?

Discount for Halliburton?

I work for Halliburton and was wondering if Verizon gives a discount on their rates. I have had alltel for 2 years now and I am thinking about a change. Was curious though about the possible discount for Halliburton. If so how do you go about getting it? Thanks and any info would be appreciated.

A little help, please. 8830 or ...

I have a 3 year old BlackBerry 7250 and it's time to replace it. I'm looking at the BB 8830, but I'm not thrilled with the keyboard design. Everything else is great, but I'm used to space between the keys.
Can someone who uses an 8830 give me some feedback about typing on the keyboard and anything else you feel is important to know about the phone?
One huge thing for me is the ability to use voice dialing commands with a Bluetooth headset and I can't seem to get a consistent answer - some people say yes, others say no. I can live without a camera, so we can skip the no camera comments.
I was waiting for the Curve but don't think my 7250 is going to last that long. I'm sure if I get the 8830 the Curve will launch on the 31st day after I...
