Blackberry vs. PDA
I'm in the market for a phone to check email, access the web and if necessary, tether to a PC. Over the two year contract that adds up to a savings of $360 going the Blackberry route. It appears all the cool Google applications work on both. I'm I missing anything?
Thanks

BEDMINSTER, N.J. - On the surface, Lou LaMedica is just another friendly guy who lives in New Jersey and enjoys Dilbert cartoons. But behind closed doors, LaMedica transforms into a sort of superhero of the cellphone industry, a guy who fights daily against dropped calls and crummy reception.
LaMedica runs Verizon Wireless' testing laboratory in Bedminister, N.J. Inside a nondescript building, behind a series of locked doors, LaMedica and his team of 37 engineers put about 100 cellphones a year through a rigorous series of tests, including baking, zapping and X-raying. LaMedica joking...

Question about switching
On which phones can I transfer mp3 files to from my PC to use as ringtones? I saw a review regarding the Moto V3m that said you couldn't. Wouldn't the Moto Phone Tools software allow you to transfer files or has Verizon blocked that?
Upcoming PDA Information (Including XV6900)
January 27th will see the online launch of the Blackberry 8830 Red and the Blackberry 8130 Pink. Not new, but nonetheless there are probably people looking forward to them. The red 8830 is actually kinda nice, but I would still rather prefer the black one.
However, there is one new one (as my topic title suggests). As I've stated several times, and that you guys have even guessed, Verizon is getting the HTC Touch. The SKU for the phone is XV6900 and there are SKUs for the holster and other accessories already listed in the system....

is it just me or is this the lamest excuse for a runaround...?
i had a samsung i700 which i had been using with verizon for about a year. recently i bought another pda, the i730, and got it activated (from a gowireless verizon store). aight so i go into a corporate verizon store because for some reason i have been getting charged for a data plan which i did not sign up for. come to find out that the guy at the gowireless store somehow signed me up for this data plan which i did not authorize. the guy at the verizon store was helpful and removed the data plan (he also said they are moving to where all pda's have to have a data plan...any thoughts on that?). now i understand that this was not verizon's fault but gowireless is contracted to sell their service right? anyways the guy was like yo...

Anybody with txtin problems?
Well, that didn't take long!
Does anyone in here work for Telesales?
What is the deal? Is the telesales department not allowed to answer questions unless you run a credit check or something? I just don't understand how when faced with possibly earning three lines of service you would hang up when you don't know an answer to a question instead of trying to figure it out.
What's the benefit of being a verizon employee??
Calling Plan Question
This is my question. I recently stumbled upon a great deal on a refurbished Z6tv. If I purchase this phone, will I be able to activate it without upgrading to the ...

Why did Verizon do this?

After a full year on the market, Verizon's apparently looking to give its dual-hinged U740 textmeister a swift kick in the pants. How? By hooking it up with a slick, marketing department-approved name, of course. The U740 will heretofore be known simply as the "Alias," which we don't really think has anything to do with the phone's physical characteristics, but maybe we're just totally missing something here. The specs obviously haven't changed, but at the very least, we think we can probably expect the phone to be on the market for a while yet seeing how they've i...
