Anybody else notice the PN-820 is free online? Pretty sweet deal for anyone who needs Windows Mobile but doesn't want to spend barely any money. 🙂

pix mail to VZW phone from Sprint BB Pearl

Ok...so, we all know that Sprint's version does not have MMS. Ok...that's fine, i've gotten around that by sending the pics as emails. I haven't had any problem with sending them to att customers at @mms.att.net and no problems sending to sprint phones at @PM.sprint.com...however, i can NOT seem to get my phone to send them to VZW! I'm using the @vzwpix.com to send them, and i can send them just fine as an email from my work email or any other email address from an actual computer, but when i try to do it from my phone (i have an @sprint.blackberry.net email for my phone), i instantly get this message back: MMSC NDR Administrator Undeliverable MEssage. Message could not be delivered to mobile. Error: Wap encoding error.

What the heck does...

Verizon is moving to GSM

I have read a lot of the post below with misunformation, so to be clear and answer the questions that have been asked - YES Verizon is moving to the GSM technology.

Verizon has announced the 4g network they roll out will use LTE. LTE is gsm.

Saying LTE is not GSM is like saying EVDO is not CDMA, simply not true.

Thanks

Verizon recovers man's missing recording

Tue Mar 18, 8:03 PM ET

An 80-year-old man can hear his late wife's voice again, any time he wants. Verizon has recovered a lost message recorded by Charles Whiting's wife, Catherine, before her death in 2005.

When Verizon upgraded the man's telephone service, his wife's voice disappeared from his voicemail system. The message said "Catherine Whiting," and her husband said he listened to it every day for comfort.

Company spokesman John Bonomo said Tuesday that a contractor found the recording in an archive and restored it to the new voicemail system.

Charles Whiting says he's very happy.

Upgrade Options...confused

On verizon my account it says I get the new every two 4/29/09. When can I upgrade just at 2 year discount without the new every two?

I've heard so many different answers to this. I was told by one rep that I can upgrade at 12 month point and get the regular two year pricing (early upgrade) and pay $20 esn swap charge. Is that true?

Blackberry plans...what when where why and how???

E-mail and web for $30
Blackberry Solution Unlimited Access $44.99

What is the difference? I just want to browse the internet unlimited w/o KB usage. Can't I go with the $30 plan? Do you think Verizon will ever include messaging in the blackberry pricing like the other carriers?

Just preparing myself for when the Curve comes out.

Data plan prices

Does anyone know if there is anything in the works for Verizon customer data plans. They are so high, comparing it to the everything for $99 for sprint.

Stuck between a rock and a hard place

Hey whats up peoples....I have an issue to discuss with you guys.

I have been with Verizon Wireless since 2000. I recently moved to a new condo about 1 year ago. I am in the suburban St. Louis area. For the last month or so I have given up my AT&T home (wireline) phone and decided to save a little money and do the Wireless only phone thing.

For whatever reason, I have come to find out that my Verizon Wireless phone sucks when you are forced to deal with only having a cell phone as your only source of communication. I guess I did not pay too much attention to it when I had a home phone because I would make most of my phone calls to deal with customer service to my service providers: cable, credit card, utilities, etc. using my hom...

how come I have good EV but bad 1X

I have an LG VX8600....while in my condo I get 3+ bars of EV constantly and when it comes to 1X very low and non existant coverage. I know EV handles the data and 1X handles the voice. But what I dont get is how one is better than the other in the same location if they are both coming from the same tower?

Voyager or wait for Glyde

I have been debating about whether to get the Voyager or wait until the Glyde comes out. I've been reading about them on different forums and want honest opinions about which one to go for. I am NOT entertaining thoughts of switching carriers, so don't bother telling me of other phones on other carriers.
Thanks. 😁

W385 firmware update?

I have had my W385 since shortly after it came out in September of last year. Does anyone know of a firmware update since then? The only issue I have had with the phone is it freezes up every once in a while after heavy texting. Thanks!

Just reading over Engadget and this was posted about an Hour Ago.

It looks like the auction is over. We will have to wait up to 10 days for the winner.

Blackberry FILE FREE fill up

I have a blackberry pearl 8130 and the file memory fills up on me in a day or two and constantly has to be reset. I contacted VZW and they told that is how a blackberry is. I was wondering if anyone else has a similar problem and if there is a fix or if that is in fact a problem with blackberry.

Tracing picture messages...

Is it possible for Verizon Wireless to see where a picture message is sent to? Say someone takes your phone and sends a picture to someone else, is there a way that someone in the store or National Customer Service can see what number it was sent to?
