Oooooohhhhhh yeah! ! !. . .36.78mbps! ! !

I just got a whopping 36.78mbps using the speedtest.net app on my Samsung Droid Charge.
I really need a dual-core smartphone that can keep up with these blazzzing fast LTE speeds better.

12/31/1969??

Occasionally, when checking my Comcast and Gmail accounts on my Fascinate there will be a blank email with the date of 12/31/1969. What does it mean? I have also had this happen on my Droid X.

Thanks!

Swaps with US Cellular

I have read the FCC Statements & the other posts regarding the potential Verizon to Swap Its 700MHz for U.S. Cellular's 1900MHz

Does anyone know what counties in Indiana this is for? Could this potentially be for Cass County in Indiana?

Just curious.

Thanks!

Queation reguarding LTE speeds and webpage load times

I have a question reguarding LTE speeds and webpage load times.

I just did 3 speed tests using the speedtest.net app, and got speeds of 11, 10, and 12mbps results, which is plenty fast enough speeds to load a web page instantly. So what my question is the reason webpages load fast, but not instantly is because of processing speed? The Samsung Droid Charge has a 1ghz processor, fast, but appearently not fast enough to support the blazing fast LTE speeds.

Class-action lawsuit over MiFi texting charges

Verizon customers are charged for receiving text messages sent to MiFi or other USB-based wireless internet devices, even though the devices lack a screen with which to view the messages. Hagens Berman Sobol Shapiro LLP, a law firm based in Seattle, has filed a lawsuit against Verizon on this issue and wants to hear from consumers who have used the MiFi and been charged for spam or other unwanted text messages. ? for Epik and my other corporate friends

How far indepth do Corp stores go for phone malfunctions? Do you guys do thinks like complete wipes and flashes of blackberries and droids etc?

I'm have a SMB customer that has a broken X. Stuck at the bootloader. I'm 95% sure that a .sbf flash will fix the problem. Is this something that a corp store would do?

Thanks in advance.

another question

One of the phone lines on my family share plan is eligible for an up grade. Does that mean the contract for that line has expired? Can I cancel that one line with no fees? My conract as a whole does not expire until 2012.

Voice and Data Plan question

Hi!

Verizon customer here for many many years. I have a question about voice plans and data plans.

I'm looking at my monthly usage and I see i have 13 days left on my bill.

As of now, I have used up 48 of my 450 anytime minutes, 621 nights/weekend minutes, 97 mobile to mobile minutes. On the data side, I've consumed 1.37GB. All this on my Motorola Droid X.

Based on my monthly usage, you can see I'm a decent data user (don't know if I'd qualify as a data abuser yet) and not a heavy talker.

Is there a way to get pre-paid minutes or pay as you go voice minutes AND unlimited data? I feel that I'm REALLY paying too much on the voice side and would like to lower that cost if possible.

If it's not possible, the world won't end ...

not just anothee teired pricing post,

But I'm really hoping Verizon gets their applications fixed, mainly MY VERIZON, before they go to Teired pricing. Otherwise they'll be forcing a lot of us to use more data. And pay more.

Zune App for Android

http://www.engadget.com/2011/05/20/windows-phone-7-s ... »

Has anyone else downloaded this? I think it blows Android's (or at least the one on my HTC) music player out of the water.

Apple and Google better watch out! Microsoft might actually be a threat soon.

Android email client

Does anyone know when Android phones will have an email client like Outlook Mobile that can have nested email folders and look like Outlook does on a desktop?

For example, in Outlook on my desktop/laptop/Exchange OWA, I have my Inbox, and under that I have a Clients folder with about 30 client folders under it, I also have a nested Vendors folder with 20 vendor folders in it, a Family folder with subfolders, and so on. Each main folder is under the Inbox and has multiple subfolders.

Lack of nested email folders is my main reason for sticking with my old HTC Touch Pro2.

Or, "Is there an app for that?"

New Data Package - Sorta

I have not seen anyone else mention this so I figured I would let people know that a new data package will be avlb tomorrow 5/26. This is for Basic Phones. (Aka Feature phones, dumb phones).

$10 a mth for 75MB of data
Mobile Email
VZ Navigator
Ringback Tones

A $21 value for $10 plus 3x more data as compaired to old packages. As before, Nav usage will not deduct from your data allowence.

Not as good as the old $15 Vcast package but I would still call this a win for the customers.

Can this be done with the DINC??

I'm going to be traveling internationally in June and I'm wondering if I can use it on wifi (not the phone of course, just the internet connection). It would seem easier than dragging around a laptop or notebook to check email, etc.

VZ Employees- Please answer if you can....

I am looking to get a new phone, currently have the Droid 2. However I am noticing that some of the smart phones I am interested in (Samsung Facinate) are coming with Bing search engine and Bing Maps instead of Google. I just read an article on the LG Revolution and was excited until it states the Bing issue. Why is VZ (or who ever is doing this) giving Bing as default on a Droid phone. I did call VZ and they states you cannot make Google the default you'll just have to look up google- too much work! Is this going to be a trend?
Any intel on this is appreciated. Thanks all!!!

P.S. tried the Thunderbolt but speaker was not that loud and the ring notifications sort of sounded all the same so trying to change a notification ring for ema...
