Thanks Verizon!

I switched to the Voyager just like everybody else, I use a Get it Now app that lets me check various weather conditions, baramator plot, and fish and wildlife activity (for hunting/fishing).

The app cost $5.99 a month, have had it for the past 6 months, always worked fine, $5.99 a month thats it.

This month I got my bill, and I was charged the normal $5.99 a month, and on top of that, another $3.98 for data.

Turns out whenever I use the app, and it connects to the system to find the local info its using MB usage. I used 1.07MB last month.

So not my $6 app cost $10.

Thanks Verizon!

Bill Clinton Uses iPhone, His Tongue to Communicate

I am a republican, and I don't really like Clinton. I am an avid Verizon customer.

What I don't like though is all of the publicity that the iPhone is getting. When is the 'iPhone killer' going to be released by Verizon, and where is Motorola? The Voyager sure didn't cut it.

Any info on the HTC TOUCH?

Is it still coming in Jan? I hope isn't silver!

Anyone excited about it? If they release it in black, I'll give it a shot.

Another Thing On the New Data Pricing...

Here's something that concerns me about the new 'per MB' pricing plans:

Apparently the plans ROUND UP to the next MB. So if you use, say, only 1KB of data, you get charged the $1.99.

So, say I ACCIDENTALLY hit the hot key or whatever to lauch mobile web/the browser. If even 1 byte of data gets transferred, I get hit with the $1.99 charge, do I not?

If so, that doesn't seem too cool. ☚ī¸

I know why there are barley any vx10000's in stock at stores

A person that will remain nameless but has ties to VZW corp and LG said that VZW will have a huge stock of VX 10000's in stock for internet and not in the store. They want the internet to gain more fame and drive less traffic into the stores. They plan on keeping it this way until mid Febuary after V-DAY.....now if its true is yet to be seen...............BUT he has been right so far of the things he has told me.

The beginning of a new life!

Hey, everyone! Happy Holidays and here's to a great 2008!

After spending most of the last 15 years in cellular sales, I have left the industry and have gone into another field altogether. There COULD be a time when I might possibly be attracted back into it, but it's highly unlikely. I kind of like what I'm involved with now. Change can be a good thing.

Speaking of which...after having Verizon out of DC for eight years, and then having to lose it when I needed a local number in a non-Verizon market, I am very much looking forward to the day that I can re-sign a Verizon contract here in Charlottesville, VA. My latest information says I will be able to do that in either 2009 or 2010 at the latest. It can't happen soon enough. Thei...

Can I activate Sprint phone on VZW?

When can I start activating a Sprint phone on my VZW phone number? I read something about it but wasn't sure when I can do it. I got a Sprint RAZR2 (which is cooler than VZW's) and I want to activate it ASAP.

RAZR V9M Question

Anyone know if VZW is going to get the V9m in something other than the brown/bronze thing going on? WHO came up with that idea? Something like black and gray, black and silver? Faceplates would be a nice substitute.

Phone wanted without camera

Will VZW or Alltell soon sell good phones without camera? A Moto V3 without camera would do for me.
I want a phone w/o camera, with BT, memory slot, calendar, calculator, vibrate, alarm & in small shape to carry in pocket.
Closest phones are either $500 pocket computers, Blackberries or have cameras.
If I was stupid enough to carry a computer without security & always connected to Internet, I still would not pay $500 for phone-computer that would not survive in my pocket. Blackberry too expensive, fragile & long. Cameras are not allowed in most places I work.
My phone is my pocket watch, calculator, calendar, alarm & phone. Vibrate is a must in high noise work lacations. So how do I get it w/o a camera?

Question Regarding Blackberry

"unlimited (after 5GB a month they slow your speed down for the rest of the month, though)"

WHY DO THEY SLOW THE SPEED FOR IF IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE UNLIMITED?

I was looking at VZW I dont know. I have hear about them crippling phones and that when they say its unlimited it really aint unlimited.... I do not know too many people with VZW so any helpful info would be greatly appreciative. Thank You

Customizable Vibration Alert

Do any of the phones allow more customization of the vibration alert, specifically for text messaging? I need a phone that will give more than one short buzz when a text arrives.

Thanks,
Scott

Blackberry question

I went to a Verizon store yesterday and was thinking about getting the Pearl. I asked the associate about plans, etc., and he told me that for $99.99 I could have 450 minutes and all features activated. I'm just a little confused because when I got home and read the brochure, it had email and data as a separate charge, in addition to the $99.99. Which is right? If I fully want to be able to use all the features (voice, messaging, internet, email, etc.) and have 450 minutes, what would be the cost per month?

Thanks for your help guys! I really want to figure this out so I can get my phone tonight! 😁

Just got a BB 8130

Where do I start? I just got it last night, so I didn't have that much time to play with it. How do you get AOL Instant Messenger on there? Anyone have any little tidbits of information that I should know?

Also, I went with the 450 minute Select Nationwide with the $30 unlimited personal data plan, so thanks to everyone who helped me save some money with your advice yesterday. 🙂

Getting pics off u900

I bought a u900 "Flipshot" a week or so ago. I love the phone. I tried to send a picture to my computer via picture message to my email address. I've always had success doing that in the past, but when I did it this time, the picture looked awful. It looked worse on my computer than it did on the phone (there are details you can see in the phone that don't appear on the computer file). I called in to CS, and they told me that the phone compresses the file before it's sent out. Makes sense to me because of the file size. I bought a music kit for the phone to get the USB cable, but I don't know where to go from here. Anybody know any software I can use to get pictures from my phone to the computer via USB? I should be able to transfer...
