There did not appear to be a flash on the camera. Does anyone know if the production models will have or need a flash?
thanks,

Verizon and 4G

I didnt see anyone else post it, so just wanting to point out that VZW announced that the announcements that VZW had picked LTE for the 4G plans was incorrect. The report about VZW picking LTE was not from VZW saying it, my guess is when VZW announced it was going to partner with Vodaphone on 4G that someone made an assumption that it would be LTE and thus said VZW was going to go LTE.

Voyager Data

Do you think HTML browsing will be covered under vpak, such as it is now for mobile web? Since this is not a smartphone/pda what do you think?

Wow, what killer aps for the holiday season, VZW has pulled no punches this past year at becoming the most customer friendly, best carrier out there. With the new holiday phone lineup adding to their already strong lineup, their new variable ETF, 30 day test drive, new plans rolling out with verizon landline for free landline calling and rolling out the ability to change your plans without extending your contract...VZW is definately taking off the gloves and pointing at AT & T and saying "I want your spot". I'm definately excited to see what the future holds.

Upgrading from Motorola E815

I've had the E815 for 2+ years and am ready for my NE2. This is the best phone I've had in terms of reception and reliability - my area gets good reception, but inside my house is awful - except with E815. Battery has been sluggish - not really holding a charge anymore. Am considering the LG 8350 and Moto W385. I don't care much about bells and whistles (own a digital camera, PDA, laptop). I need reliability in terms of reception, no dropped calls and battery life. (Son has LG 8300 and claims to get good reception in house). Any suggestions?

What does b2b mean? I've seen that in numerous posts, and can't figure out what it means. 😕 Sorry in advance for the newbie question 😉

Price Plan Change with No Contract...

I haven't seen/heard all the details on this yet, but I have seen some things that certain feature changes will require a contract renewal. Does anyone know if switching from a basic america's choice plan to a select plan will be included with the no contract extension?

This is for nextel18.

Shouldn't you be helping your company deploy Wimax and find a competent CEO?

Have fun with that. 😛

In addition to credit aps, we should run IQ checks..seriously

Seriously, we should require IQ checks along with credit checks for some customers. I was showing a customer some phones for approx. 10 min. and they were really interested in the eNV. The customers was pressing all the keys and looking at the screen of the DUMMY PHONE. When I asked the customer if they would like to demo the real phone they said "You mean this isn't a real phone?" I looked at the customer and replied "You mean you THINK that is a real phone?" WTF. I swear no one has any common sense anymore. Some customers should just NOT have a phone!

Blackberry Questions on Verizon

Ok, I am thinking about making the switch to the 8830 from the Q but have questions on exchange interface

1) IT guy hates anything non Microsoft. Do I need him to do anything?
2) Does my computer need to be on to use instant forward?
3) Does it sync calendar, notes, to do's automatically etc?
4) Will my emails say sent from Blackberry on the bottom if I do not have the software on the exchange server.

Any website referrals that explain this would be helpful as well.

Voyager vs a smartphone

The Voyager does look very nice. However, I have had a smartphone for a couple of years now and I like the extra features. With this new phone, what is the advantage of having a smartphone instead? More and more it seems a lot of features are being built into the phones that one could previous have only via a smartphone. I don't know the answer, but I figure one of the people here will know right away.
Thx,
Joey

replacement for Nokia 2128i

My Nokia 2128i is finally starting to wear out. I know, big spender here.

There was a time when I could go to a box store, buy an inpulse phone for about $30, walk out and activate it on my account. Hence mine and my wife's 2128. I didn't have to visit the verizon store or renew my contract. Basically very hastle free, etc, etc.

I only use a phone for voice and this Nokia has been very good with reception, abuse, ease of use and clarity.

Is there anything inexpensive and comparable offered by verizon? Preferably on the same activate over the internet method?

Thanks.
