The 4 Next phones are the ones being advertised as next phones because they are the hippest and are sure to be best sellers. Verizon isn't forgetting the other phones in the mix though.

I think it's important to note that VZW has responded well to changes in the industry. Customers want a reliable network, but are also now more concerned with having top of the line, cutting edge, innovative devices. VZW is delivering during the 4Q with all of the above. As an employee of the company, I am excited about the direction VZW is heading and can't wait to purchase the voyager...and the venus.

I've been waiting for the 6800 to be released so I can port over from AT&T. Now AT&T has come out with the Tilt! I haven't even got the 6800 and it's already outdated! 🙄

The Voyager, made by LG Electronics, trumps the iPhone by offering faster wireless Web access. But in a nod to the Apple device, which is only available to AT&T subscribers, it has a large touch screen and full Web browser.

Does anyone know if the Contacts listing will be just the EnV? I don't like how with the EnV, there is not any dedicated areas for work and home addresses. I would hope they would change it for this phone. thanks

Any guesses? Co workers and I have speculated that the voyager will probably be about 249.99 on a two year. Well worth that much in my opinion.

With all the hype of the "Next" phones let's not forget about the poor defenseless phones for tomorrow (10/05/07). The Gleam and Rizr.

Ok I'll admit the Gleam looks like something from a bad rap video. It should've been dubbed the 'Bling', but it does have living wallpaper to draw your attention away from the fact it's still the VZ UI underneath it all.

And why oh why is it that Motorola can't get into the UI game here? Only the base VZ Classic and no option to switch. Another defenseless phone falls victim to this senseless crime.

well if everything else trickles in verizon will have the best phone line up this christmas then ever before.

Well I looked through a few pages on this thread and didn't see this posted anywhere. They've confirmed release dates for the phones on InfoManager today.

The first date is for pre-ordering and the second date is when it will be available to purchase online. Not sure what kind of system will be set-up for pre-ordering I'm assuming through the website right now, but there's not a whole lot that was given. Also, it was stated specifically that these phones won't be available for B2B.

I've been waiting for a sleek looking, full featured, black phone and now verizon has 2 coming out!!

The next phones look pretty sweet and should be a nice addition to the lineup.

Figured I'd bring you guys some additional information on this device. It's not much but it will come in 2 colors as of right now: black and pink and the SKUs are activate in the system LG-VX8800 and LG-VX8800P respectively.
