This is how a phone release really works...
When a phone comes out, this is what happens...
--Its in infocenter, reps will start buzzing about it on phonescoop and other phone enthusiast websites.
--VZW may release a press release stating the exact date for release (eg: Moto Razr V9M press release today)
--Stock will start to arrive at the stores, but they may or may not be able to actually sell the phone. Reps will typically inform people on websites like this when the stock begins to arrive.
--Finally, reps will continue to provide info on concrete dates as supply continues to come in. And the ...

Verizon Wireless has reversed course and will allow NARAL Pro-Choice America to use its mobile network for a sign-up text messaging program.
Company spokesman Jeffrey Nelson said the decision not to allow text messaging was incorrect.
Nelson had said Wednesday that abortion was among topics barred from mass distribution based on the company's code of content.
However, the code was developed before text-messaging became a mass-market phenomenon.
NARAL lets people sign up to receive its text messages by keying in a message to a five-digit number.
