Question for Verizon Reps....

Hey guys,

Is Verizon still replacing the V with another V or with the enV for insurance purposes?

Thanks,

What's the likelihood?

Hi everyone...

I have the $59.99/900 minute AC plan currently. I need to add a line, but I see the family plans don't have a 900-minute package. I have a choice of 700 minutes or 1400.

If I call in, can a CR be able to give me an additional line at $9.99 as advertised, but add it to my existing minutes? If not, what is the alternatives?

Thanks in advance.

Freezing batteries??

So I heard from someone that owns a refurbished cell phone store in my area, that if you freeze your cell phone battery over-night and put it back in your phone and let it die out, and then charge it back to full charge that it will be as good as new. I thought this was total bull but I figured I would run it by a few of you. Anyway my Mom has done it and I guess if none of you know if it works I will be able to tell you tomorrow if it works or not. The only thing I have heard about freezing batteries is that if you freeze them when they are new that they will keep longer, but that is the only thing I have ever heard about freezing batteries.

Verizon's latest move to LTE is a confirmation of a trend

So now gone are the days of American carriers doing their own thing. Now they are looking to other carriers in other countries for direction.

ATT Wireless and Cingular went first by going GSM rather than CDMA. ATT Wireless even got pushed towards W-CDMA by none other than Japan's NTT Docomo (who created W-CDMA according to the sources that went into the wikipedia article)

Voicestream gets purchased by T-Mobile so there's Germany right there.

Sprint goes with Mobile WiMax which is basically WiBro, a technology developed by South Koreans (based on regular WiMax but still the influence is there)

Now Verizon Wireless chooses international cooperation with Vodafone (possible merger coming?) rather than stay with the 3GPP2/cdma2000 g...

Wireless Buddy...

I'm not sure if my i760 can be used as a remote. Maybe they stripped it from this model. How do you access it from your i730? Honestly the manual for this thing is very small. It doesn't say anything I already new. Help a brother out please? 😕

Replacement Question

I just got the EnV a little under a month ago and the battery is lasting less than like 10 hours with not to much use. The earpiece on the phone sounds like it might have gone when you turn it up to high and I have had some problems with freezing. Will they replace the phone?

Is CDMA dying now that Verizon said they going with a form of GSM

Now that Verizon has official said they are changing to GSM for their 4G technology, what does that mean for Sprint?
Three of the four national's will be on the same platform..
Also, what does that mean to all the verizon CDMA slappies that for years have sipped the kool-aid and told us how great that technology is. Are these same people gonna flip-flop in a few years? just a thought.

Verizon vs. Alltel vs. Helio

I currently have vzw and am considering the move to another carrier. I like a lot of people are getting a little tired of verizon not throwing us a bone (early calling, my faves, my circle, rollover, unlimited minutes) And of course a lame UI even with flash its still a little lame. In addition the phone lineup is not up to par, I know vzw is coming out with some pretty cool phones in the future (vx 10000, u900, i760) but when?
So I wanted some advice... Has anyone had any of these other carriers? How well do they compare to Vzw? Whats the customer service like? Call clarity? Any advice would be much appreciated...

This is funny but sad too!

I signed up with Verizon Aug 24th. My plan has unlimited incoming calls. Here is a copy of what my plan includes straight from my online account.

Call Forwarding
Basic Voice Mail
NATL IN CALLING-UNLIM*******
NEW EVERY TWO TIERED
UNL NIGHT & WEEKEND MIN
UNL TEXT MESSAGING

So YES they do have unlim incoming calls. At least I do.
_____________________________________________
That was posted in the Tmobile forum about my statement verizon does not have unlimited incoming calling plans.

That shows me a few things. One verizons terms for IN Calling (m2m) and extended network (Roaming). It also shows that people have no clue what they sign there name too. People read ask questions do some research!!!!
