BAD problems with the 8350

Just activated it this morning, as soon as you turn on the speaker phone, and get it near anything, or even just wave your hand over it there is terrible feedback, skreaking noise, anybody else experience this?

How to accomplish the goal?

Just wondering if anyone would like to give me any advice on how to accomplish what I need to do. In order to do that successfully, here's a brief history.

I am a United States Navy Veteran, current cancer patient, and an overly nice person. I made the grave mistake of adding someone onto my account for a secondary line. Long story short, phone forever lost, no current usage on that line in over seven months, just riding the contract out.

contract end dates: primary 12/24/2007
secondary 06/20/2008

Ultimately, I want to only have one line. I want to upgrade my primary line, which will be due soon, but to only keep one line, I would most likely need to drop the primary in dec to finally be back to one line...

Verizon Data Plans prohibit video use

I have a Treo with Verizon and pursued whether I can access DirectTV's Superfan mobile broadcasts. If you are not familiar they feature a mobile friendly video broadcast of NFL highlights. The definitive answer I received from Verizon Wireless was the unlimited data plan does not allow video.

I ask if I could add a feature and do Internet video, the answer was no.

Here is an excerpt from the email thread for anyone that wants to dispute it. I spent the afternoon talking with AT&T, to them unlimited data really means unlimited.

Verizon quote:
"If you have shows saved in video format from Direct TV they can be viewed on the Treo 650 or any other PDA/Smartphone that we have. Viewing videos saved on the device or memory card are not...

HTC rep visited

Had about a dozen inactive xv6800's and a Libra. Flippin SWEET with Windows mobile 7 standard on the Libra and Professional on the 6800s..

Apparently MS has now realized that everyone thinks all the advanced devices are "smartphones"

Verizon XV6800 Release Eminent

After months of speculation, and guessing and hoping and prying the XV6800 for Verizon looks like it might actually hit stores.

I actually held one in my hand last night at Circuit City... The dummy model anyway.

Verizon usually puts those dummy phones in stores a couple weeks before they release it as a tease.

In my opinion, it's long over due. Verizon has been suffering hard core on the cool phone front for waaaay to long, and it's been chafing my long Johns.

If Verizon doesn't disable everything cool in it, the way they always do, all will be forgiven, and geeks everywhere will dance in the streets.

Otherwise, it's a one way train to AT&T town for me. I just couldn't handle that much rejection.

So I finally got a blackberry...

And it's on the att network...where the voice quality is atrocious!!! I'm still keeping my treo on verizon for personal use, but our company just completed a blackberry rollout for all sales associates.

I just wanna say that after making a few calls, verizon truly is a much better network, att has a "tin can" sound to it, like you're talking in a tunnel. Not a huge fan, but i guess for a free BB with unlimited minutes, its not that bad.

Just got word from a coworker that these two dummies were received in the store today.

She thinks the XV6800 is ugly. 😡

30 Day Testing period

Hello ladies and gents. Long time lurker now taking part in posts. If i could get a little help I have somewhat of a predicament. I bought the Orange enV at the beginning of the month. I am satisfied with it, no real problems. I do, however, have about 20 days left within my 30 day testing period in which I can choose to try out a different phone. The question is, what phone would you suggest for me to try out before my 30 days is up. I was really hooked on the 8550 when i went looking at them again. The 9400 looks pretty good, but I just dont see watching a lot of tv on my phone (especially with being on the border of mobile tv coverage). I have been reading a lot of reviews on all the VZW phones out right now and the enV receives the highe...

Blackberry 8130 (pearl 2)

Is it coming to Verizon? If so any ideas as to when? I have the 8703 and am thinking about going to the 8830, but I would take the Pearl 2 over the 8830 because of the size.

Also I have one more question if anyone cares. I used the XV6700 for longer than I care to think about, and I loved all the little things that windows mobile has to offer i.e. Music, Video, File viewing, Internet Explorer, and camera. What I did not like about the XV6700 is all the problems it had like flight mode, constant resets, phone freezing up, and I was used to the instant email that the Blackberrys offer that you cannot have with the windows mobile. So that brings me to my question which is this, since it seems that the blackberry does all of these things is t...

2.0MP Standard

I thought this was 2007 and 2.0MP would be the standard in mid-range camera phones? Yet we're are still seing a slew of 1.3MP weakness. I understand VGA on a basic phone, but almost all mid-range phones come with expansion ports making it possible to print out your pics sans fee. Yet only the uber-phones are rocking 2.0MP and olde AT&Tingular is rocking some 5.0MP's at a reasonable price. I love the network, but less and less people realize network stability and base their decision on phone features. Sad, I know but true.

Mogul without data plan?

The whole purpose of me gettin the mogul is to use it for notes when i go to school. I type faster than I write (plus sleepy notes are hard to read). But I figured its more convenient to get a smartphone. (no keeping up with two separate devices) Now im freaking out because I dont want to use any dammmm data plan but I'm REQUIRED to get one? It's bad enough Vzw is milkin me for what I got already and I dont even use the full 450 mins I'm paying for! Any way to get around that data plan crap. I was thinking gettin it on ebay then activating it online myself. any ideas?
