so is anyone else having trouble with Verizon reception?

My display will show full signal yet incoming calls go to voicemail without the phone ever ringing. This only happens sporadically. No real rhyme or reason. Then i'll get a voicemail notification some time after.

after speaking with a number of friends and co-workers, i've found that quite a few people are running into the same situation. we don't have the same phone. the only common factor is that we're all based out of new jersey (friends are in north jersey, i'm in central jersey). this began happening approx 2 months ago and has been steadily sporadic ever since.

the only reason why i've stuck with Verizon is because of the great reception. the phones suck compared...

I want to use my $100 bucks towards something new. I have a env already. I love it. I do want a pda phone though, haven't had one since the 7135(kyocera POS). does anyone know what's coming in the next few weeks? Any help is greatly appreciated.

So , I anxiously awaited the MAXX. It came out, I figured I'd wait a week or so and see what the opinions were. Now, my sister goes and gets a new phone (she picked the white Krzr) and while she's in the store she looked at the charcoal krzr too and said , "Oh, that's too masculine looking for me!" Now, she's got me thinking...what is the MAXX look like. That's more masculine than the dark krzr. SO, I ask you....what phones do you think are more geared towards woman in the way that they look? I really wanted a MAXX but it's bugging me that she said that , I wonder if others think that way too!

Anyone else getting "Your wireless account has been disconnected." when logging in to My Account on the VZW site? Both myself and my brother are having problems...

The Illinois House passed a cellphone lemon law, a measure that would allow consumers with defective handsets to break wireless service contracts without penalty.

The House bill, approved by a 72-to-43 margin Thursday, now heads to the Senate for consideration.

“When someone buys a cellphone that turns out to be defective, they have to go back to the provider for a repair or replacement,” said Rep. Susana Mendoza, a Democrat who represents Chicago. “When this happens repeatedly, it burdens customers both in terms of time and money lost, but also with increased frustration. Cellular providers have an insufficient incentive to be responsive because the consumer is usually locked into a long-term contract.”

it's new every two time for me, i have kinda decided to get a TV phone...

even though i can use my new every two this month i have decided to wait a bit...when do you guys think that there will be a new selection of vcast tv phones? i mean the current two models have been out a little while..but they are so ugly! plus maybe I'm asking to much ,but i would like at least a 2.0 megapixel camera on mine...does anyone have any info or heard anything about when we might see another vcast TV phone out?

Not to tick off anyone, but I hear the exact same thing about Moto everywhere I go: "Beautiful phones, but there's always something wrong with them (durability, bugs)."

WHY does this company seem to consistently shoot itself in the foot? Outside of perhaps only Apple, they seem to have design down better than anyone in the industry. So why cut your own throat the way they seem to do so often? 😳

Does anyone here have the 24.99 10MB per month data plan for a blackberry?

If you do, how well does that plan work for you? Are you able to browse the web a lot and send/receive a lot of messages and not go over your monthly allowance of 10MB?

Im trying to decide if I should do with the unlimited data 44.99 plan or the 10MB 24.99 plan.

If the 10MB gets me a lot of internet browsing time and sending and receiving emails then I might just go with that to save the extra 20 bucks per month.

What sites do you use in your favorites on your phone? I've found my self using ESPN, News->Technology. Anything else good to search for or look at?

I use Gmail, and Mobile.Google.com in my favorites. It's nice to be able to stay connected and not have to deal with syncing with outlook and such. Outlook and MS software is just a waste of space for me.

VZW should work with Google, rather than try to avoid them. Work together to have a hybrid suite of apps (including calendar currently lacking at mobile.google). I'm not a fan of hybrid apps but it could be a start. Rumors of goog software/OS for phones is starting to peak my interest. Thoughts?

my wife gets an employee discount from work for vw so we get a discount on our monthly plan.

when its time to renew, can we also get a discount on a new phone because of my wifes employee discount at a retail verizon store?

Looking to upgrade to a Blackberry, but I have a few questions:

1) Java Script capable? PDF capable? Or do these programs have to be added on. If so how is that done?

2) One button push to put in lock mode? (keep phone in pocket)

3) Or am I better off with a Treo vx. Going to use for email and to organize my life.

4) Easy to synch with home computer?

just got back from the mall where i stopped in a verizon store. i had only been keeping up on newer phones via this website. so i had not seen any in person til today. thought i would leave a few opinions.

the lg verizon tv phone_[forgot the model number sorry}. ALOT COOLER THAN I THOUGHT. different interface {still not great}. very light {with the tv thing i was expecting heavy} and the resolution of the screen was fantastic! good size and i did not half to squint at all to view tv!

the other tv phone by samsung was very tiny and i did half to squint to look at that one, seemed cheaply made.

the razr maxx_sucked! i knew the phone was ugly but it was downright fugly in person..it was another that seemed chea...

I was just wondering why it is such a big deal about when a phone will be released to there customers. 🙄 I heard Verizon will fire you for telling people about up coming phones? Why?

If I was a business I would want people to stick with me and not move to go some where else to get a phone they like for example the BB Pearl. If Verizon was say getting this phone in a few weeks to a month why not tell the customer who's contract is up or is coming up knowing that they want this phone and might not renew there contract with you if you don't have this phone.
So what competiton finds out you are going to have a new phone soon. They can't like stop you from getting it?

do you guys think verizon will ever buy sprint since sprint is losing so many customers?

1. I'm looking at buying a VX8600, but am curious if there's any possibility Verizon might be offering any kind of price break or if that is something that occurs every so often. I thought they might lower the price with the 8700 out now (since they appear to be very similar). Also, do they offer any kind of price protection if the price goes down immediately after i buy it? If HP can, I would think Verizon certainly could.

2. Would there be any possibility the VX8600 would support services like Napster To Go or Yahoo Unlimited To Go? Currently, there's only a limited selection of cell phones that are compatible, but I figured this might be something that could be remedied later on with a software upgrade. Or is this something they likely...
