I am in the painful process of trying to choose a "new-every-two" upgrade to my Audiovox 9900. Don't want music buttons because I'll never use my phone for downloading songs off Verizon's network. Want something mid-level that has excellent durability and reception.

But it seems with all the phones they offer now, you cannot change the menu appearance out of the standard Verizon setup. How is this that they all, regardless of manufacturer, share the same look? My 9900 has lists, which I much prefer to the gawky, child-like cartoons you have to scroll horizontally through.

👀 OK .. I've looked at every page known to man and everyone has a date for the 2 phones I want. from Sept all the way to Dec 😕 I've called verizon and chated with techs. So here's my question Is the 9900 going to be out this month and when might the 710 hit the streets. I turned off my service with us cell after doing the math just to get aol msg with ea$yedge . So let's talk real dates and try to get something thats a little more down to earth seeing is all I have is a work cell phone at this point.

When you speak of hackability, what kinds of things can you modify in the new generation of Verizon phones?

Is the 8300 "hackable?" Is the GzOne?

Can you really transfer photos, files, etc. from phone to computer with a hack? What else can you do?

I just started with a new organization and we use Verizon for everything. I went to the Verizon site, entered my address and it said I qualified for the discount. I see in other posts that I can get the discount in stores. My question is what is the normal discount or does it depend on the organization. I work for a non-profit (not sure if that makes a difference). What happens if I leave the organization at any point during the contract? Thanks.

Almost identical size to the RAZR, but the front flip goes down further so it doesn't have that big thing sticking out below the keypad. Ugly chrome rim around the outside flip. Gloss black outside like the chocolate. I don't like the keypad, it's flat like the razr. Someone needs to make a flat phone with a raised keypad.

It doesn't open as far as a razr, so the mouth piece is at a better angle. Overall good looking phone, but without the chrome and a better looking keypad it would be a lot nicer.

I only have a display model right now, so no UI or reception comments yet...

Why doesn't verizon have any PDA/MDA's other than Blackberry's or the Q? I'm thinking about the 9900, because I like the size, but it looks dated to me. Why doesn't Verizon carry more slide out keyboards like the HTC's? Will they have them anytime soon? or should I just get the 9900 whenever it comes out?

From the reviews here, I am discounting the 6315i. Too many negative reviews.

I want GREAT reception and sound quality.

I've used the V325 and am not impressed with the sound quality. My wife's Samsung SCH-A650 has better sound quality. I like the V325, but there is a high pitch whine (that only I can hear) and the speakerphone quality is poor.

I'm not concerned about bells and whistles.

But... I would like Bluetooth.

I just received an e-mail for the Verizon Corporate Discount and I'm trying to port 2 #'s in from a family plan w/ tmobile.

I go to the link and click port in existing # and i put my cell in but from there on the options are for a single line....I tryed new phone and service and i could select family plan but then i could'nt port my cell # in...

any help please?

Believe it if you wish to or not but i work for a certified verizon sales company and in our system the retail price is 399.99...

unfortunatly we also have a release date of 12-03-06...

So I just had an EZ-Pay activation that didn't go so smoothly. First of all, customer brings the phone to me when it's about 5 minutes away from dying (lack of charge). I got it all put in the computer and such, and then it wouldn't *228. Just said "unable to program at this time". When I called in to get a rep to check to be sure everything was in the system correctly, she told me that "If the battery has less than 1/2 charge, the *228 system WILL NOT work"

First of all, I don't know how a tower can tell how much charge a battery has. 2nd of all...the amount of CPE activations we do around here for prepay when they bring the phones in dead, and we're runnin *228 with it plugged into the wall, and it works just fine. Was this rep really T...

Just wondering if anyone knows a way to get the lens fixed because mine shattered somehow and i don't even know, i didn't drop it either. But if anyone knows of a loop hole to get it fixed could you please let me know?

Hey wasup guys I've been with Verizon for 3 years and I hate it, I mean their customer service, their phones are pretty neat and I can't complain totally over the reception, even though with my Samsung A-950 sucks with reception. Anyhow my plan expires Nov. 28th and I plan on staying for another year and getting a new phone, I have narrowed my choices down to 3. As follows:

Contacted our Verizon rep about getting new cards to replace the old 555 cards we have and possibly an upgrade to the V620 cards, he stated that we are eligible to recieve the PC 5740 as a free upgrade to the 555 cards.

My question is are these basicly the same card as the V60? Should I upgrade the 555 to the V620 or the PC 5740?
