Nokia 6256i question

On the Nokia 6256i I noticed that behind the battery next to where you insert the mmc card there is what appears to be a slot for a sim card. Does anyone know why this is? Can you insert a sim and use it in europe or asia possibly? Why is there a sim slot in a cdma phone?

Help me please 😕

Blackberry on family plan

I have family plan with the primary line NE2 coming up soon. I would like to get a Blackberry but I it not listed as a possible upgrade on the Verizon My Accounts page and it appears that it is not possible online to put together a new family plan with a Blackberry. Is this something that just can't be done or it can't be done online but can be done at a corporate store? Thanks.

Clamshell

Is verizon coming out with a clamshell that has outlook/windows on it? I have a blackberry and so tired of not being able to hear when I get a call. I don't use the phone much but when I do I would like to be able to hear.

Yes 1.9 for Verizon, but 1.4 for Cingular.

It is impressive that Verizon (the number 2 carrier in the U.S.) added 1.9 million customers this Quarter, but Cingular (the number 1 carrier in the U.S., by how many subscribers they have) added 1.4 million just this last Quarter.

1.9 Million customers added is impressive compared to Sprint Nextel who added 233,000, but compared to 1.4 that isn't much.

It is impressive, I must say, but in a certain context, the inference can be distorted. If you present a numerical argument, you must compare it to its competitors numbers.

Interesting note on the LG VX-8600 Launch Package

Under supported bluetooth functions it clearly lists OBJECT TRANSFER

anyone else notice that?

PDA Question

I have a few questions. I don't mean to sound dumb, but I have never had a PDA before and therefore are clueless to a few things.

First of all, I am considering one because of my hectic schedule. I would love it for the organizing aspects of it mostly. I don't need the push e-mail or e-mail on it at all for that matter, so I don't want to purchase the expensive data plan (I pay less than that a month for my Verizon FIOS at home!). Anyway....if I don't purchase the data plan, can I still use all the functions of the phone/device? Would my text messages be billed under data or text? What else besides internet would be billed under data?

Thanks for your time.

Mary
