I have the 8300 right now, but my NE2 is coming up in November so I'm thinkin about the new lg 9900

Just had a truck driver stop in. He goes all over the nation. And he has a Cingy phone his company gave him, and a Verizon phone he uses to talk to his wife for free. Oddly enough the Network with the Least amount of Dropped calls..............was Verizon.

I just upgraded my phone on a NE2 plan; long long time customer (early 90's) and always been pretty happy. I had the V6000, loved it but was getting a bit long in the tooth, I wanted a much better camera than that crappy VGA thing and so on (not to mention phone lust) so I went for the 8300. It seems to be a very very good phone; I had the 6000 so long I missed all of the crap about Vz's UI, my phone still had the old one.
Well, you guys were right. The new UI is pretty bad but not a deal breaker. I was a bit shocked at how Vz has managed to turn their phones into nothing more than tools for them to make money with the damn Get it (the money) now. I couldn't even brouse the pix place to see it I wanted to buy without paying upfront firs...

Why is it that people think just because we work in a cellphone store its ok to talk on your cell phone while we help you?? Talk about RUDE!! This chick came into my store on her phone, talking the whole time, wandered around the store, then came up to the counter. I looked up and smiled at her, then went back to oredering supplies. (She's on the phone I was being polite and waiting for her to shut the h##$ up)She never got off her phone, when I didn't jump to help her (again she was on the phone) she slammed her keys on the counter and walked out! i need a phone that has vibrate notification, external screen if it is clamshell, a camera (not a must have, but it would be nice) feels comfortable in a pocket and is an extremely small design.

I just got the Q (with the new every 2) but Im not too happy with it...so Im thinking I'll take my boyfriend's Treo 650 without renewing my contract.

So when something else comes out, I'll be able to use the $100 towards something else.

Long time LG VX400 phone dead! Really want 700W to replace my pda and phone so quick question. I know I can disable the data connection but...

if disable the connection to the verizon data network #777 or something I was told it will not connect;

Question is; will it continuously try to ping the server resulting in popups all the time?

Also, why is it that I can only buy the phone with the 'pay as you go' option through my online account? If I do not log in, the website forces you to purchase a data plan of which 'pay as you go' is not an option.

Last week I got into a thread about the LG 8300 vs the Razor. I was 98.9% that I was getting the 8300. My NE2 is up 09/18 and I called VZW customer service last night about something different and the very knowledgeable rep said I should look at the Chocolate. He has it and loves it. I am not sure what to do. He has never lost a call and phone sounds great.

I'm up for my NE2 and am looking to upgrade from the LG VX4500. However, I have add some never-fail call drops that I'm hoping was just the phone's fault. First, WB on Storrow Drive right next to the Hatch Shell (probably geographically the center between Boston & Cambridge) and second, N on Rt. 93 at Spot Pond. All I've ever gotten from Verizon Reps is a shrug and 'must be a bad hand-off' (have they gotten like stereo sales people from the 70's?). I travel often in eastern Mass. and southern NH. Does anyone else have this problem? Has a new phone solved it? Which one? All I really want from a phone is solid phone performance, and the occasional picture.

😲 Hello if someone is going to pay for a phone that is 149 with a new contract it damn better have a speaker phone! NO wonder the sales are not huge! First of all every teenager in america doesnt want one becuase 1- becuase who can afford 149 on a phone 2- not everyone has exactly 2 more days left on there contract and 3 it is really big, why not get a razr for a lot cheaper!!!!

Who wants to trade me a cell phone or pda for my lg-vx8100 with the data cable?

In January of '05 we purchased 4 v265. In June of '05 my daughters phone would only work as a speaker phone. Verizon was great about handling it and replaced it with no hassles. At the time I started noticing all the issues with reliability this phone was having.

Jump forward to 3 weeks ago. My phone started acting up and it would only work as a speaker phone. Then last Friday, my son's phone tanked. People can hear him talk but he can't hear them through any of the three options (up to his ear, speaker phone, or headset).

On Monday we took both phones into the local Verizon store. The tech tried reviving both of them. She made it sound like there was a routine that might revive the phones after reflashing them but she couldn't...

PS. I REALLY THINK THAT SPRINT PCS SPENDS MORE MONEY ON THERE EV-DO THAN THEY DO ON THERE CALL QUALITY/THEN VERIZON SPENDS MORE MONEY ON THERE CALL QUALITY AND COVERAGE RATHER THAN EV-DO. NOT THAT ANY OF THAT IS BAD BUT I WISH VERIZON WOULD EXPAND there EV-DO market too.

I currently own the LG 8100 - have been up for NE2 for almost a month. 1st - how long do I have to exercise the NE2?

On the 8300 - have they fixed it yet so that missed calls/txt display on the outer screen? I had read that was a problem....any other bugs/issues right now?

On the 8600 (i know not released yet but in case someone knows....) are the buttons like that on the razor? I prefer actual buttons (like on the 8300) - not the flat surface of the razor - just wondering if the 8600 is like that so I can either rule it out or wait.... Thanks!!
