non-profit organization?

copied from qusers.com

altough i agree that verizon can be a money hungry, corporate machine, nobody is forcing you to use their service. if you are not pleased with their service and/or pricing, you can leave at any time. granted, you maybe under contract and have to pay an early termination fee, but they are no different than any other wireless provider. VZW, Cingular, Sprint/Nextel, T-Mobile, etc are all in this business to make money. Never, did any of the above state that they are a non-profit orginization. I hear too many people complain that VZW is charging them more money in order to use more services. I may not be the smartest man in the world, but if I offered multiple services I would charge multiple fees. If you want text mess...

Get it now search

Has anyone downloaded this app yet? Its actually kinda sweet. When I heard about the concept last week I thought it would be lame, but it works really well. And the voice search is a sweet idea, especially for the anti-texters of the world. Its not a daily use kinda thing, but I think long term it will definitly increase sales. Any thoughts?

Dark grey Razr v3m

Whatever happened to the dark grey aka charcoal aka gunmetal razr? I saw the phone in both Verizon and Best Buy stores last week, but now all of a sudden they have been pulled off the shelves. Every rep I talk to is telling me they are sold out throughout the region (Northeast) and the warehouse is also sold out.

in response to current bluetooth crybaby assertions

I've seen the nokia bluetooth heaven, and I declare no one shall say we "water down" bluetooth ever again. Verizon jumped to bluetooth right away to appease those with bluetooth vehicles - hence the reason the new bluetooth only handles wireless accessories and not object push or share - but you just wait, it's going to be great!

Verizon EVDO (With RAZR + Mobile Office Kite) and MacBook and Parallels ... can it work?

Does anyone know how to make my new MacBook work with my RAZR V3c, tethered with the USB cable using Parallels Desktop to run Microsoft XP SP2? I can install the Motorola drivers and all that just fine, but when I plug in the phone I get an error from Parallels saying that "The USB you are trying to connect to this virtual machine is being used by another process ... please stop the process that is causing the interference and try again."

HELP! HELP! This is really making me mad! Verizon won't help me. Other information you may need to know to help me out would be that I am running Microsoft XP SP2 and cannot install it under BootCamp because I only have a XP installation disk and one with SP2 already on the disc - and Boot Camp will...

Get the i730 or wait?

I've been getting a lot of people telling me to just get an i730, while others tell me to wait around 3 months and see what new stuff Verizon comes out with.

Basically, I need a new pda phone that runs Windows Mobile 5 (Or Pocket PC 5, or whatever).

So what do you all think? Should I just bite the bullet and get the i730, or wait for bigger and better stuff from Verizon?

(I am really split on the issue, I can't decide.)

The main reason I am asking is because a few people have told me that the i730 is old gen and that it has even dropped out of production by Samsung!

Really, I just want opinions and/or votes.

Yes = Get the i730 now.
No = Wait, better tech will come out soon (probably).

Thanks. 🙂

Retail value of Chocolate

I bought the Chocolate a few weeks ago, didn't buy insurance. Where I lifeguard, a friend pushed me in the pool when I wasn't working with ny phone in my pocket. I have a 1 year contract, so will she be paying the $199 price or some $500 price I've seen this phone retailed on other sites,

V325 or wait for LG VX5300

Hi all,
I'm about ready for a new phone and was hoping for a little advice. What I'm looking for is good voice quality, good reception (especially in Analog mode), decent speakerphone with workable voice commands. Camera is secondary concern. I don't need Bluetooth, any Web capabilities, MP3s or other frills, just a solid phone to use as, well a phone. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area and am not too worried about reception here, but we have a vacation cabin 17 miles into the forest just north of Yosemite, hence my need for good Analog reception.

I was looking at the Moto V325 and LG VX5200, but was leaning towards the Moto due to great feedback I've read. Now LG is introducing the 5300. Any reason to wait, since what I gather the onl...

Samsung a930, Macintosh/iSync/iTunes and Verizon

Any way around this Windows-only synching? Can't get my bluetooth to recognize the device, I've been all over the web searching for answers, even did a search here, to no avail...

I called Verizon tech support and she said something about buying the USB cable & reader but that it would only work on Windows.

Running OSX on a PowerBook G4. Thanks much from a newbie.
