Reception & Sound Quality

Summary (I talk too much): What's the best Verizon phone for reception and sound quality. Price doesn't matter, nor do any other features.

My current phone has been slowly dying. Today the camera cover fell off--just a little thing--but I decided that it was the last straw.

So I've been looking at all the new Verizon phones, and it seems like every single one wants to do my dishes, but I can't tell which one will work best for actual voice communication 🙂 . Anyway, I've read good things about the LG VX8300 but I'd love some more feedback about the best Verizon phone with regards to reception and sound quality. Price doesn't matter--I'm fine with a $50 or $500 phone as long as it sounds g...

Renewing Ringback tones???

My buddy and I were having a little discussion about ringback tones and he said that after one year, there is a renewal fee of $2.00 for a ringback tone that you originally paid a couple bucks for. This didnt really make sense to me, but I thought I would see if any of you guys had ever heard of this.

The 870 is horrible - We tested and it's really bad !

Guys

We tested this weeks ago.. The worst voice quality ever on any VZW phone.. The person on the other end thinks you are on some horrible headset or something.. We tested 2 units and they are bad. Samsung has let the voice quality deterioate from the 930 and forward..

If they dont fix this stuff , they will be out of the cell phone business.

Goto any VZW store and call your friend from the 870 and then call him from the 8300 and have him toggle back and forth between calls, he will hear that the Samsung is almost unusable..

Try this , it's horrid!!!

Phone AND full vehicle car kit

Though my vehicle has built-in BT, I REALLY miss my professionally installed full vehicle car kit. I recently parked my LG-VX8300 and bought a Nokia 6256i for the car kit option plus BT when I am away from the vehicle.

Thus far I have mixed feelings about the Nokia. Outside of the Nokia and the Motorola (lost faith in Motorola awhile back) V710, does anyone know of a VZW compatible tri-mode phone that has BT and an available full vehicle car kit?

Thanks, Scott

Audiovox 8600 vs. LG 4400

Have read all pro's and con's, still can't decide. Need tri-mode, like 8600's size, but don't like reports of tinny sound and not sure of durability. Hear lots of good about LG's durability but appears to have software issues as well as easily activated quiet mode, I do carry phone in pocket most of time. Also not fond of 4400's heavier weight and reported battery usage. Anyone have experience with both models. Any help greatly appreciated.

Anyone know of any new PDA Phones coming out Verizon?

Even just rumors...I called up Verizon and they said they were testing some phones for reliability, voice quality, etc. (actually I emailed them), but they couldn't tell em any more than that.

Basically, I was looking to buy the i730 but it is such an old phone already. Didn't Samsung stop producing it recently?

Thanks...

Buzz Noise with V360 (Desperate Owner)

I am a owner of a Motorola v360 provided by serviced by Tmobile and I have searched this forum about the buzzing noise issue and all I found are "heated" back and forth replies between GSM and CDMA users.

Nevertheless, I came to understand that the noise is pretty much a common issue in GSM phones but I have hard time swallowing it. Before the V360 I had a Siemens CF62T and a sharp TM150, and I never experienced anything like what i'm experiencing now. Actually I didn't even know bout all this noise issue 🙂

I get the buzzing noise all the time (which can be heard at the other end of the line also) and almost every where: In front of my computer, speakers, away from the previously mentionned or tv. I get the noise at home, at work, at ...

Retrieve Ringtones?

Hi, I have a Pink Razr V3 and recently my screen had stopped working. I brought it into Verizon and they took it and replaced it and I currently have a phone and I am happy. Although my phone is fine, I wanted to know if there was a way to retrieve my old ringtones, and my VZ Navigator on my new phone that I had already bought on my old phone?
Thanks,
ESPearls

P.S.-I didn't back up my ringtones to my computer.

Video as wallpaper

On a lot of the Verizon phones (i have the 8300), you can make the wallpaper of the phone a video of yours. My question is: does doing this take up more battery than using a still picture or is it about the same?
