Backup Assistant Problem

I downloaded Backup Assistant onto my Moto E815 and noticed that it assigns a picture to each added or edited contact. Problem is that I never had pictures associated with my contacts and it assigns a non-existent file (filename = '10') so the contact photo appears as a red circle with a slash.

Its not a big deal when scrolling though the contact list. However, when the phone rings, the caller name is not shown on the outside display because the display shows the space for the non-existent picture which forces the text off the bottom of the screen.

The only way around this is to individually edit each contact to select "none" in the picture field. Not a very good alternative.

Any ideas?

upcoming Motorola phones?

I was wondering if there is any news on upcoming Motorola phones, through Christmas--particularly any non-flip models. Though I like my V, I am getting a new car in February and won't be able to load my whole phonebook with bluetooth due to LG not allowing you to do it. For some reason Motorola works. Does anyone else know of other manufacturers that allow you to do the same? Any news of new phone options would help. Thanks 😁

when is verizon gonna offer a "rugged" phone

my wife hasn't met a phone she can't destroy.

she drops them, drop-kicks them, plops them in a sink of dishwater and just generally abuses them. (my phone looks new after 2 years, hers like you took a belt sander to it after 6 months)

I heard a rumor of a water-shock-resistant phone coming from verizon (GZ? maybe the casio GZ?)

to my thinking any phone that can't take a few drops and the occasional 5 second oops dunk in the bathroom sink should be considered defective, but apparently the cell phone companies go out of their way to make sure most phones die unter these circumstances (hmmm, cell phone insurance revenue anyone?)

anyway, back to my original question, when is verizon going to offer a phone that my wife will have a har...

HELP with long-term, systemic problems from people in the know!

I'm hoping someone out there from Verizon has some suggestions. I know this a long post but please bear with me.

I have had problems with phones since I switched to VZ a few years ago. I swapped out my first phone, an LG 4500, 6 times before they finally put me in a Moto 265. I had gone through more 8 handsets before they switched me to the Moto 276 (as they didn't have the 265 available).

After 3 of those within a month, numerous complaints, hours upon hours spent in VZ stores and on the phone, they finally put me into an LG 5200. This phone is slightly better so far but it is already displaying a host of issues. It is dropping calls like crazy, not trapping calls or phone numbers, ringing inconsistently, the volume is slowly...

LG rep visit to my store

he had alot to say and alot of info. first off the 9900 is goin to be a very slick phone. it has full BT, and will be MEDIAflo capable with a SW update in the future. the 8500 will be available in different colors by the end of the year. he actually had a "white chocolate" and i must say it was very sexy. 🤤

another cool little toy thats coming out is an update to the lg migo. its goin to have a qwerty keyboard for text messaging. it will be targeted to kids 11 and up. pretty much as soon as kids think the migo isnt cool to carry, they will upgrade to this device.

also another thing that LG is launching is flash UIs that customer will be able to purchase through GIN. which i think is going to be awesome. the only thing i...

is it possible for *228 to "hurt" my phone

you know how were all supposed to do it every month and b4 traveling, i just did it and then i rmeber im going away next week, if i do it again next week could this "hurt" my phone in any way?

the reason why im asking is beacuse when i would update my sch-a670 it seemed like everytime after i updated i would go from full bars, then work my way down to no bars, and then go back to full again, and it would do this every time i turned on the phone.

thanks!!!

Strange Issue-PLEASE HELP!

I've been having a strange issue the last few days and it's driving me crazy! And first off, it's not a phone issue as you'll read. Anyway, I have been having occasional echo problems, and it's not the usual echo problem people have. This is happening about 20% of the time. Here's the issue:
I place a call, waiting for it to ring, don't hear anything, look at the phone to see if it's gone through, phone says connected, yet I hear nothing. When I say "hello?" to see if the other person is on the line I can hear my voice echo back really loud but don't hear the person I have called or anything else besides the echo except dead air. I've asked the people that I've called when this has happened what they hear and they hear nothing at all,...

Cost of Plans w\o Phone

My apologies. I suspect this subject has been covered here many times but please indulge me and let me vent.

I have an LG VX4400 phone that I got from Verizon 3 years ago. I terminated the contract shortly thereafter. The phone has sat in the bureau since then. It is in great shape; it has good reviews here; and frankly, cameras and all that other stuff are just unnecessary devices created to steer the consumer away from all that matters: the scope, breath, and quality of the phone service. There, I said it.

Here's my question. Clearly, "free" or moderately priced phones with two year activations aren't free at all. About $8 to $10 a month of the $40 America's Plan is the amortized cost of the phone itself, right ?

Therefor...

Nokia 6215i is in the stores - Why is not up on phonescoop ?

Guys,

I just got back from the VZW store and saw the Nokia 6215i.. I have to tell you , for a little phone with no bluetooth, it's damn nice. The form factor was sweet and the keypad was great. The screen was a little too small but the voice quality when I called my guys from it was great. The earpiece volume was good too. It was too noisy to test speakerphone.

Too freaking bad it has no bluetooth.

I did A/B test against the Sams 870 to verify the aweful quality and yes both my guys I called said the Sams sounded horrid against the Nokia or anything else for that matter.
