OK, so I had lasik surgery and dont need my glasses anymore- but after reading the teeny fonts on the 8300 I might. Is there any way to make them bigger and also the external clock?

I recently got the 8300 and i think my phone has a problem. When i talk into it to another person, not only do i hear the person talking to me, but i also hear myself almost like what i'm saying is going thru their speaker and back into their mic. It's happening all the time though, not just with one other person or phone. Is this normal for the 8300 or should i get a new phone?

Alright I just started my contract with Verizon on May 5th, Got 2 pink razors (one for me & one for little sister), anyways, hers works flawlessly, but mine has a small or should I say a big inconvenient problem, it makes like a humming sound (like electricity going through), it started doing it whenever I placed a call but it would fade away after 2 or 3 minutes. Question, have a Sam 950 with the 512 card, only want to use the card for MP3. I can only get about 140 songs on the Mp3 player due to the size partioned for the "My Mp3" folder. Is there anyway to expand the folder size limit to use more of the card then what it automatically sets it for?

Does anyone have an idea what month I can expect a high functioning, 2 megapix. phone to come out with Verizon? (I was excited by the Samsung SCH-a970, until I read the reviews.) 🙄

Was playing around with the menu in my phone and found a way to change the voice command mode to speed. I think that makes using the voice commands a lot less cumbersome!

I asked Verizon support about plans to put a new tower in my area. Coverage is much worse than T-Mobile, Cingular, etc., but was better a couple years ago. I asked if they had any plans to put new towers in my area in the next two years. This is the reply

"For security purposes, it is not possible to release the requested
proprietary information regarding the exact time in which towers may be
built. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause."

I guess Verizon has learned from our government, "security" is a an excuse that fits conveniently for all occasions!

Just wondering if anyone has had this particular problem in other regions in the Verizon wireless network.

I travel frequently to visit relatives in a zone which Verizon says it covers (zip code 11777, north shore of Long Island). There is coverage but there seems to be a dead zone in the particular area where I visit which happens to be the highest elevation in the 11777 area.

I know areas can have dead zones but I will describe the situation.

Every person on the Verizon and Sprint network who have visited had full bars on their phones and no roaming indicated. Yet no one can connect to service, their phones heat up while on and the battery dies within 2 hours. Once a call is dialed, the bars on the phone actually drop to none.

I'm about to go get the VX-8300, but i thought i should ask my trusty friends here at phone scoop their opinion on it? Please, people that have the phone or have used it responses only...

So I lost my rubber piece on the charging port of the phone. Did I need that anyway, and if so, where do I get another one? The phone is new, but I think I would have lost that eventually.

im looking to buy a phone at retail price without my parents knowing and after going to my recent vzw store they said i have to have the holder of the accoutn there. Does anybody kno if i go to a best buy to buy the phone will it be easier and will they not care as much?

I work for the state and i recently got a verizon rep that can give me a 15% discount off my call plan,. plus 25% off accessories,.
anyways i want the 8300 now cause my phone is about to literally die,. my rep told me that the employee discount or the price she can get it for is not out yet,. but the phone is 50.00 bucks and i have NE2 so i would get it free anyways so theres no use for me to wait right> also what else am i getting from my rep,.
can she actually get me the phone at its lowest price (free) and not put me on the contract?

Just wondering what the dress code is for corporate store throughout the country. In the Pacific Northwest region the guys have to wear a shirt and tie. I'm f***ing sick of it! I have been told that corporate stores in other regions just wear the VZW polo shirts. I just want to confirm that. Customers don't give a crap how the sales person is dressed. As long as they are honest and knowledgeable.

Once the files go in the MyTones folder on the samsung a930, how do I set as ringtone??

I bought a Samsung a930 and so far I really like the phone (lots of cool features and Voice command is awesome) even though it does not have the steardy feel of the razr. It is nice however the black material smudges easily. Anyhow, I dont like the fact that it doesnt play mp3s (to my knowledge).

Are there any VZW phones that allow the mp3 format and how come phonescoop has mp3 as a supported format for this phone??? Any help would be appreciated.

sprint has some really cool phones that i want, sprint is just as good right? im just not impressed with any verizon phone, they are all very boring to me. any input would be great

I wasn't a VZ customer but thought the new Motorola Q might be great. Ordered one on Wednesday with Friday delivery promised. The phone "shipped late" and actually showed up 3 days late on Monday. I opened the box and the phone worked but it had been dropped and was obviously damaged. Took it to the local store; they exchanged it for a new one. Stupid me - the store did a test call but didn't test the internet access. Ooooops. The phone won't access the net. Called tech support; on and off with her for 30 minutes; she finally tells me there is a "KNOWN ISSUE" between the Q and the Verizon system; that they have had a number of calls about this problem. She has to "escalate" the problem and I "should hear from them within 24-48 hours...
