video and the Q

anyone know how long of a (video) file the Q will play? the 815 caps at about half an hour, which makes it a pain in the arse to watch a full movie on.

Also what file types (.avi, .mp4) will it play. Specificly, will it play a .ogm or .mkv (dual audio/subtitles) container with the right codecs/filters? and if so, will the regular matroska and ogm filters work?

vx-8300 or ...?

I'm ready for upgrade and am very tempted to finally trade in my phone for the 8300. Before i do though, i'd like to ask the informed souls here at phone scoop if in the near future (this june) Verizon is planning on releasing any more phones?

Freedomrep... I think we have something in common...

Such as the company we work for, is your "home office" based in pennsylvania, like western pennsylvana? Lemme know, nice to have a kindred spirit out there that might be at the annual meeting...

need help picking pda phone

my friend is interested in getting a verizon phone with the following requirements:
1) scheduler/organizer - like in a pda
2) mp3 player
3) car navigation. i know most verizon phones now support GETITNOW NAVGATOR. the problem is that i think it only works if i have verizon service since all map data is stored on the verizon servers. i want to buy navigation software that will work with my pda phone, use the phones gps capabilities, and either uploead all mapping of the US or regional mapping via bluetooth/cable.
4) expandable memory splot incase she needs to install more memory for new software

she was looking at the TREO 650/700, 6700, and Q. which one would be best for her needs?
what NAV software do you recommend and how much...

going from 8100 to 700w.

I am interested in getting a Treo 700w with a data plan. However, i still have over 1 year left on my current contract. Any advice on what would be the cheapest way to upgrade? Would i have to pay for retail for the treo if i want to get a new data plan? other option i thought of would be to add a line for $10 month.

Need New Phones For My Wife And I: Requirements:

Requirements in order of Importance:

1) Call clarity and loudness (both ear and speaker)

2) Reception

3) Screen Clarity (both inner and outer screens)

4) Bluetooth

5) Battery longevity

6) Camera (don't care if it's the greatest photo - just so it has a camera)

Could care less if it can play music!

Perhaps I am describing what the perfect phone should be without the bells and whistles.

I was thinking the LG 8300 or the Samsung 930 but I know they are just being released and there are insufficent reviews at this time.

Is it OK to put my phone in the freezer?

A customer actually called in today and asked me that. She got her phone wet and thought that putting it in the freezer would somehow freeze dry it.

Also had a customer bring back his phone box and house charger (no phone in box), says that his phone was stolen and wants a refund.

🙄 🙄 🙄 🙄 🙄

SMS 2000?

I'm thinking about going with the Motorola Q and saw reference in the forum to making sure to add "SMS 2000" as a no cost feature on your plan.

Can someone explain what this is? If I have this do I still need to add a text message option?

I was wondering if Verizon employees/CS

**** doesnt stink when they take a dump, because thats what they act like whenever Ive had to take care of a problem in the store. If Verizon had a perfect network than maybe I could understand, but theyve got network issues just like any other carrier.

I must get a new phone by the end of June!

As the subject states, i must get a new phone before the end of June. I have the vx6000 from like 2 1/2 years ago and have basically been waiting for a phone since the end of March to upgrade with, and now my battery lasts about an hour of talk time. I've heard about the 8300, which isn't offered in my area yet (I live in NJ) and also the Samsung 9900, which no one seems to know when it will be released. Of the phones stated, and any others that might be coming out by the end of June, which should i get? Links of other possible phones would be appreciated.

Interesting Dilemma...Need Help from VZW Employees

I purchased a BB 7250 on ebay about a month ago and I finally was ready to activate. When I went to activate over the phone, the rep said the line was currently still active. I have spoken to the seller and he said he picked it up at a garage sale. Seems a little shady. The phone # is still in the phone and I have tried numerous times to call VZW and get the owners info to find out if they want it back or if i can in fact activate it.

the weird thing is that voicemail was reset and I cant dial out, if in fact the phone was still active shouldnt i be able to call? I cant even dial 611.

please can someone get me some contact info for the following phone # 9179685837
