So the new Phone thing is funny :) and the UI is getting Old !

Well guys,

I know it's funny but us guys who like new toys are willing to pay for new toys but when we can't get new toys we find other solutions.

I am a big VZW fan.. Maybe the biggest but I am bored. I need new stuff..

The UI is really getting old.. The phones are really getting old.. I know they think using the standard UI is great because customer service is easier and I agree it is for them, but it takes away from the beauty of some of these phones.

We sit and wait for news. and Wait and wait ☹️

I went to best buy tonight to have the guys check the system for phones on backorder. There is nothing , not one new phone in the system. This means that there is not much on the charts..

So we have the Q, the 930, The 870 and...

text ringer size limit

when sending a ringtone through text messaging, what is the file size limit or the length limit. I am guessing around 256 or 30 seconds but I am not sure and want to know how low I need to cut my mp3 for them to work while keeping the best quality.

Verizon is Helping Me SOOOOO much

Man I must say I LOVE Verizon. They give me the best reception anywhere. They keep the phones simple so that when I get a new phone every 22 months, or every 13 if I want since I am on a higher rate plan, I don't have to learn a million new features. Its awesome. Also, since they have such GREAT reception everywhere ALL my friends and family have Verizon too, and Verizon has this great thing called "IN" calling where I can call ANY Verizon customer, its FREE! So ALL my friends who are on Verizon, and all my Relatives and well, ALMOST everyone on this forum, I can call 24-7, 365, FOR FREE! Isn't that awesome!. Thank you Verizon for giving me the best reception, Awesome phones that work GREAT as PHONES (OMG who woulda thunk?) and for ...

Could VZW customer service ratings be in danger?

I hate to say it folks but we may be in for some changes. VZW has just signed a contract with a certain company that handles customer service for clients. This particular call center is going to be in the town where I grew up and I for one am not looking forward to making a call to them.

I'm not trying to be to negative but let's just say that VZW went with this location because they only have to pay $7.00 an hour. On the flip side of that these people think that $7.00 an hour is great money. I also have a feeling that most of the VZW customers calling in will have a hard time understanding them because of their accents, but maybe it will not be as bad as I think. Hey, at least English is their native language.

Who knows I could be ...

setting bluetooth piece to "trust" mode? gunny?

Hi, ive been asking this for the past couple days and havent gotten any responses. I heard that if your bluetooth piece doesnt have a flip boom feature (like the hs700, hs810, hs850) you can set an option to a "trusted" mode so whenever you power on your piece it automatically connects (same affect as when you flip open and flip close).

any ideas? I cant find this option anywhere and I want it setup like that for my H3! I have the H3 headset and a v3c phone just incase that matters.

THANKS!!!

The good, the bad, the ugly, and the FRIGGIN' AWESOME!

I just recently got the new Motorola v325 from Verizon, and wow, just wow. This phone is everything I have wanted in a phone in so long.

Sturdy, a MANLY phone, big, weight is good, solid polymer grip, and hard to break.

Great camera for a non MP phone. Lack of flash is ONLY problem, if even a problem.

Tri-Mode Phone, Great reception so far, not a single dropped call, and I live in the middle of "analog country".

Loud ringers, and loud speaker phone, and loud ear peice volume.

Ring lights are just kool.

Front caller id.

USB port charger, not the old moto 2 prong crap charger port. Also allows MP3 capabilites for Ring Tones.

Has the new UI which I love so much (thank God ArmySF is gone LOL).

There is probably a lo...

Great Reception, Speakerphone & battery life wanted...

I'm up for the new every 2 and am trying to decide what phone to get. The most important thing to me is excellent reception (NYC), speakerphone and batter life. The other "bells & whistles" are icing on the cake. I've been looking at the LG 8100, SCH-A950, Moto E815 and the LG VX-9800 and they all seem good. Any ideas, opinions??

Thanks

Blue Lights

Moto is working on a software fix to assit those of you with your 325 ring lights. Here's how you can fix it until that is available.

Menu/ Settings&tools/ sound settings/ Ring lights

If Ring lights shows NONE, do this....

Make sure event lights are turned on.

Menu/ Settings&tools/ sound settings/ event light/ toggle on.

Plug phone into charger

When you go back to ring lights menu, there will be other choices than "NONE."

I have not tried it myself, but I'm told this works. Let us know Gunny.

WTF annopuncment of VERIZON incomming calls what next

OK So I just upgraded (tho im sure some would argue lol) to a 9800 from my 815. Things are going well I actually splurged and bough a few ring tones

I made a test call and to my surprise .. before the music starts playing my phone screams

VERIZON WIRELESS

WTF is that and is it part of the ring tone or something on the phone and PLEASE can I shut it off?

Customize the UI .. Change what you will but if im paying 999 for 4 ring tones I dont need to be reminded who I pay my 200 a month to

Does anyone know anything about this?
