If you stand in the rain with your DVD player...

will Best Buy replace it under warranty? Just wondering because people that live in Washington state think because we live in a rainy state that their phones warranty should cover water damage.

Cuckoo for Coco Puffs

I'm in the process of moving and once again look over to my dusty land line and wonder why the hell do I pay for you. My verizon service works so steller I use it exclusively. I'm definitely a cell junkie and just love learning every new thing that comes down the pipe. I have decided to ditch the land line and pick up another wireless carrier, and have some fun watching its progress. So my question to you is, if you could choose another carrier to follow which one and why? Thanks 🙂

RAZR, The "V" 9800, or the 8100?

Im seeing which is the best bet. I have the 9800 but its hard to use in my opinion and my friend has the 8100. I like having my different type of phone so im leaning towards the RAZR.

What phone should i go with?

The question of the day....

I was jus wondering how many texts you guys use on average in a month? Since the IN calling plan, a couple of my friends have had over 10k texts, like 5k recieved, and 5k sent.

I personally have never went over 3k texts (all together) myself in a month, and thats with ppl from my MSN messaging me, along with all my friends.

So, just estimated guesses I am sure for most of you, but how many texts do u think u go through a day, and wat text packages, if any, do u use to help?

Thanx

Using EV-DO phones with a USB cable?

I work for a Verizon Wireless agent, and just had a customer call in and say that they were reading their 9800 manual, and that if they buy a USB cable, they can download pictures, ringtones, etc., to their computer.
I was reading something somewhere lately, I believe it was in one of the wireless magazines we get (that I unfortunately threw away!) that was saying something along the lines of Verizon lightening up on what they will allow customers to do with their phones.
I know about the stuff out there like bitpim, but that's not what I'm talking about here. Has anyone heard of a more "official" way?

Thanks!

need phone similar to LG VX6100

I've seen the LG VX6100 and think it is for me the best Verizon phone to date: I like the large bright screen and the loud ringtones. Since Verizon no longer offers this phone, can anyone recommend another Verizon phone with similar features (bright big screen and loud ringtones)? Thanks!

Dont Hate...

appreciate. I know it's cliche and corny, but I've made a resolve to actually be nn... to be nii. you know, the N word that's the opposite of mean, vindictive, and bitter. Let us accept our differences of opinion, and not enter prick waving contests on the forums. I'm willing to bet that not 1 day can go by on this forum without something being said in anger, spite, hate, or just for the sake of being an a$$.

but I'd love to be proven wrong.

Lg 8400

I heard rumors of an Lg 8400 that was to be the replacement for the Lg 8100. I have yet been able to find any info, specs, or pics of this phone, anyone know anything? If so please let us in on it, thanx. 🙂

RAZR V3I

While I was in Europe on business last week, I upgraded my European Vodafone phone to one of the new RAZR V3I's. Yeah they are expensive but cost wasn't the issue. I wanted a phone that did the things I wanted it to without a lot of run around. Its also a very nice looking phone and nothing is locked out of it.

Now, while I am in the States (most of the year) I find I can also use this phone on the Cingular network by porting my US number from Verizon to Cingular. I'm off contract now and have that option at no cost. The odd thing is, that Vodafone still shows Verizon to be one of their worldwide partners and says that this phone will work on the Verizon network while traveling to the states (at a much higher roaming cost however.) It is ...

Weird, but...here goes...

Weird cause I came into this thread to thank Verizon for something and ended up siding with some people bashing them in other threads...So, that aside:

It appears as though VZW has finally come to the realization that people don't JUST want a phone that works, they also want nice/cool new technology sleek phones as well since in recent months they seem to be consistently offering the latest and greatest (and even being the first! Moto Q, 700W etc).

So, thanks VZW for finally starting to carry some really nice phones...now if we can just get you to stop crippling them! 🙄

Service up soon...txt messaging ?

Hi all....Im currently a T-Mobile customer and my contract is up in 2 months...i was looking at going to verizon b/c i want a new phone but when u upgrade w/ tmobile the phone prices suck.

Just wanted to know what the txt plans were for verizon. I saw online 500+ unlim in for $10 and then it went to 1000 msg, and so on...is that there only message plans...im with tmobile and currently i have unlimited messaging (pix, video, txt, aim) FOR ALL family lines (3 lines) for only $10 a month total..i cant justify switching if were gonna have to pay another $20 a month and sacrifice unlimited txting to anyone.

are these the only txt packages?

thanks, Nick

VZW vs. Cingular Broadband Tethering

Does anyone have the stats on Verizon's new BroadbandAccess Connect KBps and price compared to Cingular's plans.

I assume that both have high speed tethering pnans as well as air cards available, and would appreciate a knowledgable comparison.
