I think it is rather ironic that many of the indirects, at least the ones here, are all up in arms and worried about Wal-Mart. Well welcome to what we in retail have been putting up with from you indirects for years. You've been undercutting us on phones for years now and we at retail have had to just put up with it. Well know you will feel the pressure along with us. Welcome to the free enterprise system. Don't worry I'm sure the Wal-Mart employees won't be trained anymore than how to scan the phones and take the customers money. We will always be here to clean up the mess for them.

I have a question. It is not a flame of any sort. I've read that Verizon has lame phones. My questions is, what differentiates a cool phone from a lame one.

Again, this is not meant to stir anything up but to find out what I am not seeing in as far as 'lame'.

For the record, I will assume that part of the lame factor is due to the UI. I may not agree but I do understand that many have a disdain for the UI so I will take this as a given.

Any and all, please define lame vs cool by comparison ordescription. Either will do.

Does Verizon have a policy regarding defective equipment? I've had an LG 8100 since August, and since about mid-september I've had tons of problems with it. I'm on my 3rd phone, and now I'm having problems with the phone's battery. Is there a policy that would allow me to get a new phone if I've had persistent problems with my phone?

I'm a current user a v710. I've got an option to get a new phone now. I went to Verizon's web site to see all *kinds* of what seemed at first like cool new phones. Like the RAZR.

I come to read the Verizon FAQ's and find out they are NOT supporting a Bluetooth profile that will the phone to be used as a modem or data connection for a PDA like my Zire 72.

WTF is going over there? Have they lost their minds entirely? Is this true?

I called support and they told that it's true - they aren't supporting this "profile" anymore.

Ok so I got a Cingular phone from walmart the other day in Florida and love the phone hate that I cannor use my phone in Nevada. I am not in town right now and only have 3 days to cancel. But I am no where near where I got it and I won't be home for another week. I left right after I got it. See this is the thing that makes no sense they told me I had to bring it back to the Walmart I got it from. But the reason I got it at Walmart is because I wanted to be able to deal with someone all over the usa. I travel all the time for my new job and it is mandatory that I have the phone. I was curious as to how good it was...especially compared to the HS850? can anyone tell me which one they prefer and why?

I like how the HS850 opens and auto connects, thats really convenient .. but Im also really intrigued by the new H3 Razr piece, I feel like it should be really good but what does it offer that that HS850 does not?

Also, is there a difference between the black HS850 and the Silver/gray one? just colors are any upgrade?

I noticed that the in-store pricing for Verizon Wireless Family Share Plans runs at least $10 a month higher than the online pricing. Online pricing is $69.99 for 2 line 700 minutes Family share, Best Buy is wacking folks $79.99. Curious how Best Buy expects to get anyone but the gullible to sign up with Verizon at their stores... $10 a month comes out to $240 over a 2 year contract... YIKES!!!

Can a person do early upgrades thru an agent, or do we have to go thru verizon. I assume the agent takes it in the shorts here also.

There has been a lot of different explanations froma variety of different people on what the facts are for using a cell phone to let your laptop access the internet over EVDO.

There are 3 different camps of people with 3 answers.

1) The first camp is the end user like me that is currently using a Moto E815 cell phone as a modem (via bluetooth connection) to access the internet from my laptop and PDA (Dell Axim Pocket PC). I was even able to do this with my old V710. Never had an issue and I was never officially told by verizon to stop doing this. I have never been billed for data access and never directly threatened to be. I basically use my minutes that I pay for (or free minutes nights and weekends). So since I pay for my minute...

ok. VZW must be screwing the agents. I went to Walmart and they had phones at full freaking retail for less then I can purchase that phone from WOW. But yet VZW is saying that they are selling those phones to the agents at their cost. BULL How can Walmart sell a phone for 30 bucks less at FULL RETAIL then my cost?!?! I know it would be very hard to get, but i live in south jersey close to i295, and there is this one road that i always drop my call! and it is only verizon, there is a cingular/nextel tower located on that road! is there any way i can get info about asking verizon to put (i dont know the word for them, but the white prongs, so for arguments sake lets just call them a "site") a "site" on this tower?

if so what steps woud have to be taken.

Has anyone seen the prices Walmart is charging for verizon phones? They are sick. An LG 8100 for $80 with a 2 year deal. Razors for 150. That's just the price. You don't have to wait for rebates to come in the mail.

My billing cycle ended last week. When my statement became available online I reviewed it to see if there were any errors. I had recently switched from the original Vcast plan to Vcast music, and wanted to see if I got my free month as promised. Good think I looked as VZW had billed me for it, given me a credit, and billed me again on a different line.

One of my questions is, I have a $99.99/month plan (not counting Vcast, txt, etc.). Is there any possible program that I could have been put on - perhaps accidentally - that would give me a $21.77 discount? I'm not complaining, but that's what showed on my bill and I don't know why?
