Insurance/No Insurance

Could someone please explain to me from a Customers point of view why it is the VZW sales reps fault that the customer damaged their phone beyond warranty repair?

Once again I'll refer back to the landline statement. If your 2 year old drops your house phone in the toilet, you dont call and yell at the landline company, you go buy a new one.

I'm just having a hard time understanding why when it comes down to WIRLESS service, whether it's VZW/Cingular/ATT/TMobile/Sprint or whoever that customer may be with that it automatically is our fault they signed a contract and didn't take the insurance on the phone.

Verizon To Offer TV Over EV-DO

I'm guessing everybody saw this already on the homepage, but if not, here it is!

I'm hoping this would be enabled on all EVDO handsets, so say I go buy the v3c when it is out, I'd be able to use it on the razr and not have to buy another phone. Whos got me?

100 Bonus Anytime Minute

Hello,
My 2 year contract is up.
Just wondering if anyone else got a letter from Verizon with an offer for extending the contract for additional 3 years and receiving 100 bonus minutes for the same plan price?
So it would turn out to be 550 min/mo. for 3 years. Is it a good deal?

V323 questions

Does anyone know if this phone will have the capability to answer calls in speaker mode w/ the clam closed.

And second, it appears this phone is going to have the dreaded "disco lights" for incoming calls, can that childish feature be turned off so you dont feel like your 12 years old using this phone?

Thanks

Motorola V325 - will it have GPS?

Hi,

I've heard that Verizon will offer the Motorola V325 next month. I also heard that it will have GPS - but what kind of GPS??

Will it just be aGPS, or will it have the GPS functionality of Nextel phones that allows the use of mapping and directions?

Any info would be appreciated - thanks!

Question About Phones

I run my business off my cell phone through Verizon.....I've been their customer for 10 years now. I have gone through many phones....and now I have the V265 (not too crazy about it). I am now due for an upgrade, so I go to the Verizon store and they show me all these awsome phones...video, games, cameras, mp3 players...and so on. I am a gadget junkie, I have a laptop, digital camera, 5g Ipod, tivo, and play station. I am not in the market for anymore toys. What I really want is a phone with the best reception out there.......No one in that store could tell me which phone had the best reception.....only the cool ad ons they offered, which I don't need, want, or care about (and would never pay extra for). Why do I have to pay to be able ...

Free Stuff... just a thought...

okay, so like everyone wants something for nothing. Normal, human reacton; we have a desire to better ourselves, and sometimes it's projected by a need to acquire the "latest and best-ist" items. So people keep asking, "what is XXX company going to do for me, Why should I have to pay for my Nintend-station 360, it's the games they make their money off off. My cell phone is broken/outdated/ugly I think i should get a new one." Now having worked in telecom for 4 years plus, it occurs to me: What if everyone's wish was granted? What if whatever happened to your handset, service was covered? What if you had unlimited everyting?
The answer: Cable TV.
Everything would be leased, so it wouldn't really you "owning" a handset so much as you renting...

Phone advice needed please

Hello folks,

Happy Holidays!

I am in the market for a replacement phone for my Motorola v60s.

I live in Mn and there are some areas that still do not have all digital service so I probably need a tri-band phone.

I cancelled my home phone so only use my cell phone so battery life is important.

I'm also intrigued by the possibility of synching my phone with Microsoft Outlook for scheduling purposes.

Does anyone have any phone recommendations? Are the Treo's good? Do you feel like you are talking into a phone?

Would a tri-band phone have less digital power than an all-digital phone?

Thanks for the help!

razr in infomanager

although i find it hard to believe that no one has posted this yet...the razr is in infomanager now(Northeast areas anyway). price 299.99 - $100 MIR(previously posted). dec 5 online only, dec 12 in store. there is a nice little competition comparison in there that just mentions all the things everyone who reads this forum already knew for a long time. oh, i think full retail was 419.99. sorry if this is a repost.

New Nokias not sold in verizon stores??

The 6255i is listed as a phone that has been released for verizon but it is not on the verizon website and not in the stores. Why is it this way? Will this be the same for the nokia 6235i? because i'm interested in buying one of the two. I don't understand why they would carry these phones and not sell them in the stores 😕

Ringtones from the Verizon site

It seems that I will NOT be able to download ringtones from the "Get It Now" site as the Nokia 6256i is not among the phones listed. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what sites I can use? Specifically, I'm looking for the original (1966-69) theme from the "Star Trek" tv series. I'm sure it's out there somewhere, but I haven't come across it yet. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Happy Holidays to all of you!
