Can these phones get any uglier!!!!!

Man, verizon can take a good looking phone (sam sch 950) and make it look like shi*! Why make this phone w/ a red face plate and the 8100 w/ a blue face plate? Now i understand some people may like the way they look but my point is I bet there are more people that do not buy these two phone b/c of their color then there are people that buy the phone for their color. So using that theory, why wouldnt they release both phones in silver or black instead of making them look like rainbows. This phone had potential but red and a pretty much nonexistant vibrate strength have made me keep my outdated and struggling lg 6000. VERIZON, will you please make a good small reliable phone that does not look like it came out of a cereal box!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

NE2 Question.

I will be eligible for NE2 in December. My question is - will i get the online discount (assuming i purchase online) as well as my $100 NE2 credit on a new phone? For instance, the E815 is $149 with a $50 online discount, would my final price be $50 or $0?

Thanks

Verizon's Digital Coverage Question..

I'm up for my 'New Every Two' right now.

I've done a fair amount of research at this point, but am concerned about going to an all digital phone..

I live in the city (St. Louis, MO)so digital coverage on a daily basis should be no problem. My only concern is that I take a few road trips a year-- some to Colorado, and the digital map through Kansas looks empty on one coverage map..

The two coverage maps I've seen for Verizon are confusing to me.. Does the 'extended digital' mean my phone's going to keep working, just on a 'roaming basis?'

LOL @ Verizon

Just got off the phone with a customer that had done a port out to verizon from ATTWS, the customer had service with Verizon for a week and decided that attws customer care and service was way better! She could not believe the people that worked for verizon and how incompetent they were. She ported back to attws and said she would never go back to verizon! 🤣

Phone suggestions for potential new customer...

I am planning on switching to Verizon from Cingular b/c i am fed up with the terrible coverage that i have been receiving from Cingular since switching over to GSM. I travel in a lot of rural areas and Verizon's coverage is good in these areas, but a lot of them are only analog so they say i will need a tri-mode phone. Can anyone recommend a phone with the number one concern being good reception, secondly i need a phone that can receive pop3 email, and I also need bluetooth so i can sync to my laptop and use a headset. It seems that the phones with all of the phones with a lot of features dont have analog coverage, any phone suggestions that meet my needs? Are there any third party vendors that may have a better selection of phones that ...

Little-known voice mail features

My post below, in the IN/voice mail thread, reminded me of a few functions in most VZW voice mail systems that very few customers know how to use.

Did you know that...

Once you have logged into your mailbox and listened to new messages, you can record and send a message to another voice mailbox on the same platform?

Not quite any VZW phone in the country. Usually any VZW phone with voice mail in the same area code. Depends on the size of the market and the voice mail system. Some markets, like Chicago, have many area codes in the same system.

In some areas, this only works if you are calling into your voice mail from your cell phone. And no, the time you are recording the message and sending it willnot bill a...

Is Voicemail IN?

When you press the button to get your voicemail are you charged for that phone call -- does it go against your IN mins (free) or your peak/off peak mins (not free)?

Replacing broken 6100 with pay-as-you-go phone

ok.. my 6100 is out of warranty and broken(dropped), with one year to go before new every two.
I'd rather not go with the refurb 3200 offered by the rep, and don't want to spend $200 for a new 6100..
My question: Target has a V265 sold as a "pay as you go" phone for $125 ... can I buy this and activate it on my contract as a replacement for my 6100?

To my people in VzW land.

it just occurred to me that I don't know the answer to this question....I am eligible to renew at the end of the month. I have a family plan w/ 3 lines total. Does NE2 only apply to the main line, or to all three? (Note: Main line is like 5 years old, other 2 lines have been around for 2 years.)

VZW RAZR (sort of a repost)

🙂 A customer care rep told me that the razr is going to be delayed indefinitely due to poor quality testing she told me that there was something like a 90%+ failure rate anyone have any info ?
