What phones work with Verizon???

So... I have my VX6000 now, and I definately want to get something new and different. I went to the verizon store the other day to see what crappy collection of phones they had to offer...and as usual there was nothing there worth a damn. So now I was wondering what other phones would work on their network?? I would love to get something new and bluetooth but I have no clue what to look for on the specs and stuff like that to see if itll work. I'd love to just get a phone of some sort and take it in and have them activate it......

Thx!

Price Competetiveness

I understand that VZW is the best coverage in the United States and the phones that we sell are starting to match up with other carrier's, but where I see VZW lagging behind is price plans. I agree that people will pay a bit more for the best, but I am starting to see other carriers really pump up thier offers and plans. For instance VZW big promotion is In-Network calling. Well every other carrier offers thier version of this for free with maybe some more or less restrictions.

Does anyone think that VZW will still continue to rely on having the best network? Or will they eventually have to become more competitive with price plans?

What is everyone using Blue Tooth for?

I have nothing against Blue Tooth, but I am curious which applications everyone is using or wants to use it for with their phone. Is it for the cordless headset, wireless connection to your laptop or what? I personally have not felt the need to seek it out for the main reason being that I tried a blue tooth wireless headset about a year and a half ago and it was not very clear. It is possible that was just a bad headset though.

Bluetooth Headsets

I might be picking up the V710, but I was looking at the available headsets from VZW and they all look like so kind of weird cyborg implant.

Are there any normal looking ones out there?

HELP! - How well do standard VZW Fones work in the UK?

Hi. I'll be travelling to the UK this November for a holiday, and I was hoping to bring my VZW fone with me. I currently have an Audiovox 8900, but I'm planning on getting the new Treo 600 before I go.

I was wondering if any of you have had any experiences with trying to use their standard VZW fone out there. Yes, I know all the technical stuff. I know the UK is on GSM and VZW is CDMA. Heck! I was even considering switching to AT&T over this issue and getting the Treo with AT&T!

However, this past weekend I was told by a VZW Rep over the phone that my VZW fone should work out there in the UK! Hmmm... So I went into the VZW store today to check out the Treo, and I asked the rep if my fone would work out there. He said no, and told me ab...

AT&T Vs Cingular...

I know this isn't a VZW related question, but you guys are so damn knowledgeable I figured I'd ask it in here...

My mom has AT&T TDMA wireless service and her contract is almost up, she keeps complaining that she is paying to much for service, do you think she should go with AT&T or Cingular?

I am aware that Cingular and AT&T are merging, but what would be the better choice?

She doesn't like VZW, I don't why, she just doesn't.

How popular is this device to all you sales people out there? Does this generate sales? I here now that sprint is going to offer this device. Anyone think that we will ever see the sidekick on any other major carrier besides tmobile?

Help me out - Treo 600 or the Moto 710?

I going in today and upgrading to either the Treo 600 or the Motorola 710 and for the life of me I can't make a decision. I believe I'm aware of what each can offer but if someone can come up with the best reason why I should differentiate one from the other - I'd really appreciate it!

v710 question

i just purchased the v710 and am trying to figure out its mp3 capabilites and limitations.

I tried emailing a song to myself in mp3 as well as in midi, and both times when trying to save the file it says they are not recognizable (even when i open the email, it does not play).

My question therefore is: if i get the transflash card, upload w/a few mp3s (or midi's) will i be able to set one of those songs as my ringer?

thanks

Need help fm Verizon on Nokia 3589i - Message Alert

Nokia 3589i
I purchased this phone thru Verizon almost 3 months ago. When I had a msg waiting, the alert tone would beep every few minutes until the msg was retrieved. I really need this feature, because I cannot always get to my phone right away & need the audible reminder.
A few wks ago I noticed that when I had a msg waiting, it would only beep once. I thought I had messed up the settings & tried to fix it. No success, so I called Verizon & they said that on this model that this feature had changed to only one beep. This feature is standard on every phone I've ever had. Any advice?
Also, the backlight won't stay on long enough & Verizon said it can't be adjusted!

Push To Talk

Where is the New Enhanced Push to Talk that Verizon said was going to be released the first part of August ??? Rumor has it that they are holding off until they purchase Alltell so that both systems will be the same ????

tmobile

Looks like tmobile added alot of customers. 2.8 churn is kinda bad though. It also appears that they actually made a profit this quarter versus losing 130 million this quarter last year.

2 lines 1 phone

OK, I found out this week that I'm relocating to Florida from Jersey.

My question is would I be able to keep my NJ number and get a FL number and put them on the same phone?

I have a V60s and I believe that it can support two lines, but can it be two lines from different area codes/states??
