Java on smartphones?

Friend of mine wants to get Verizon 1x service and be able to go into a yahoo chatroom (which is java-enabled)...

Would any of the smartphone devices work for this? Mainly, the i700 and the Treo 600 are in concern, but others would work too. I also asked this question in the i700 and the Treo 600 forums.

Thanks in advance.

Dialing up with my V60s

Hey folks, I just moved and the cable internet hasn't been set up yet at my house. I have a Motorola V60s currently, and my dealer demo line includes 50 Mb of National Access. I haven't actually ever set up one of these connections before. I have the Mobile Office tools software lying around the store. Do I just plug the phone in and the software provided will walk me through the rest? I didn't know if I had to dial up Verizon for data access or what.

Motorola 710

The 710 has arrived here in Indiana. I have checked out the phone and it is sweet. Lots of features and 1.2 megapixel camera to boot. Bluetooth is the extra part for those people using bluetooth accessories and/or bluetooth capable products. (Hewlett Packard for instance) Tri-mode phone. On phonescoop it says not released but it has shown up in some stores so check your local retailers to see if they have received it if you were waiting on it to be available. 😎

Customers...

This is in no way a statement that requires Cingular argument about rollover minutes!!!
It's just a funny situation that every CS rep goes though.

Customer calls in about the ammnt of their bill. The CS rep takes a look and notices overage charges on the accnt. informs the customer of this. Customer then goes on a rant to be remember for generations, about how they have never come even close to going over on their minutes and there is no way that they used that many minutes. CS rep, in order to rule out fraud asks if anyone else has access to the phone or could anyone use the phone without their knowledge. To which the answer is 99.99% of the time no. Then you take a look at past bills and find overage on those...not nearly as much but ...

AIM or iCHATAV about the new MOTO V710

join chat using room name "MOTO V710"

on iChatAV (mac) you select "Go To Chat"

for AIMers i think you can hit the CHAT icon at the bottom of your buddy list and then you can use my buddyname "markemotion" as the buddy to invite and just put MOTO V710 as the chatroom name and just leave the invite text field blank.... unless someone knows another way on the PC side

I thought you guys would get a kick out of this

CUSTOMER SERVICE
This has got to be one of the funniest things, I've heard in a long
time. I think this guy should have been promoted , not fired.
>>>>
This is a true story from the "WordPerfect Helpline" which was
transcribed from a recording monitoring the customer care department.
Needless to say the Help Desk employee was fired; However, he is
currently suing the WordPerfect organization for " Termination without
Cause." This is the actual dialogue of a former WordPerfect Customer
Support employee.( Now I know why they record these conversations.)
>>"Rich Hall computer assistance;may I help you?"
>>"Yes, well, I'm having trouble with WordPerfect."
>>"What sort of trouble/"
>>"Well, I was just typing along, and all of ...

AAAAAAHHHHHH!!

I'm bored.

I am utter and so completely bored that I want to beat my head against the wall until I pass out into a blissful coma.

It was busy for me earlier today.. but now I have to sit here for another 3 1/2 hours before the day ends and I can close shop for the night.

Question for Kingfrog77

You once mentioned Betamax was better than VHS, but I've not been able to figure out why.
While I was growing up, I always thought VHS was an upgrade to Betamax. πŸ˜•
