I did some shopping for another carrier today, and this is what I found. This is usefull info for all customers.

All carriers will charge some type of late fee if your late on your bill.

All carriers do not back up their phones if:
- Its 4 years old and you declined insurance.
- You either sit, drop, run over, dunk it in water, leave it in your car when 110 degreees outside.

All carriers deduct from your anytime minutes if u call an 800 #

All carriers don't guarantee 100% coverage, especially in a building, or a tunnel, or a cave.

Can all reps(TMobile, Sprint, Cingual, VZW,etc) verify this

What is the cost of the VX4500 (or VX3200) without a new contract? do you get the $50 rebate without a contract?

this seems to be the only phone worth buying but its not good enough to have VZ lock me up for another 2 years.

i need to replace my 3 yr old timeport 270c. a good speakerphone is a must and would love bluethooth (but even though its a feature on every phone that has been released on every other major carrier in the last year verizon doesn't see the need.)

been searching on ebay for another 270c which is what i will probably end up doing. will not let verizone tie me up until they make a commitment to the power user by offering more feature rich phones.

From everything I read or see on TV. I basically comes down to the fact if the company does exactly what you want whether it is valid or not. If you use $300 in over minute charges and the company refuses to credit them. Then that person will say the company is the worst ever. If they give the credits of course a customer is going to be happy with the company. People live by the Motto "The customer is always right" way to much. PEOPLE NEED TO ACCEPT THE FACT THAT IF THEY USE THE SERVICE THEN YOU NEED TO PAY FOR IT. JUST BECAUSE YOU HAVE TO BE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOU ACTIONS DOES NOT MAKE A COMPANY A POOR COMPANY. Ok i was all pumped about getting the samsung a670. I had been lookin up on it for almost 4 days and yesterday i go out to verizon, wait in line for an hour, then wait a half hour for the guy to finally tell me that we couldent buy a new phone for that price untill december. He then said we could pay over 200+ to get it if we wanted too tho. 🤭 🤭 🤭 😳 😳 ....

So my question is..

Can i just buy the phone from somewhere else, go to verizon and get the phone setup for my same number and on the account? How much would that cost? Any help would rock! Thank you!

phonepimp needs to calm down because right now att and cingular are still behind verizon by miles...so until they're number 1 in customer service and total customers shut up...even after and if the merger takes place verizon will only be behind for a matter of months...maybe even only weeks..so calm down and just enjoy being number 2

Wow!!! according to JD Powers & Assoc. we are now #2 (out of the top 7 service providers) in customer service behind T-Mobile

(the next statement is in no way a cop out or an excuse!!!)

.....but....phonepimp.....at least we're not #6 in customer service, Cingular could only manage to beat Sprint PCS (like thats a tough task)

I just got my july bill and I was furious? All these 800 #s I called(calling card) gotcharged against my peak time; what is up w/ that?

I called customer service 10 times to get credits because 800#s are to be free, but no credits.

This is my problem and it didnt become their problem the first time I called.

I have been with Verizon for 4 years now.
3 years ago I bought a Moto Timeport 270c.
I don't need much of an excuse to buy new gadgets but Verizon has yet to release a phone that is worth getting tied up in a new 2 year agreement for.

I am getting sick of all the other carriers releasing kickass phones that are full of functions that would make my life more productive while Verizon pushes BREW!!!

I know alot of this is the phone manufacturers but I'm sure Verizon doesn't believe that there is a need for Bluetooth, or functional Speakerphones or intuitive PDA features and instead adds phones with cheesy camera features and game downloads.

I know $35 is not a lot but it seems trivial to charge me money to sign another 2 year contract. I have to get a new phone as my hinge on my LG is about to come completely off. Any thoughts. Thanks.
