For TheVZWMan

I have a coverage issue in & around my house. I can walk out about 6-10' from my house and signal goes up. I have called CS to report this coverage issue and 1st time was told that coverage tickets did not exist. 2nd time they had me give very specific information and that I would receive a reply in 72 hours (did not). This is frustrating to a customer as it is counter to the main thrust of your advertising of "Can You Hear ME Now". My response is NO! Since my sell is my only phone and the majority of the time it works great. I work out of my home so it needs to work here also. I have a T730 (w/ current Flash/Flex) and live in an urban area well within the stated coverage area. I can actually see three cell towers from my yard (yes I know th...

Considering New Phone

Hi,

I currently have a LG VX 4400 cell phone, and am looking to upgrade. One major feature I would like is a speakerphone.

Would also like to carry over basi features (color screen, phone book, ring tones, etc)

Camera feature not a necessity.

Can anyone direct me towards some models to consider?

Thanks a lot,

Jamie

The TRUE debate.

Hypothetically: I am a customer that lives in such an area that Cingular and VZW have EQUAL signal strength in all the areas that I go to.

Lets also asume that I do not desperatly require traveling internationally but want to know the benefits of each carrier's international options.

Lets also say I have researched phones and have found at least 1 phone that I like with each carrier. For sake of argument I like the LG VX6000 and the LG L1200 but I am open to other phones with similar features.

What would you tell me in order to sway me to your carrier?

VX 7000 Outer lights.

Does anyone perchance know how to change the color/pattern of the lights on the front/flip of the Vx7000? Been through everywhere and cant's seem to find out how. On my 6000 I was able to change the pattern for different thing incoming, message waiting, etc.... I'd also like to say thumbs pretty much up on the 7000 so far.

Tri-mode/analog

I am going to be switching to verizon service soon and was wondering if I have a tri-mode phone and force analog, or just end up only getting analog service, will I be charged for it? Is it considered roaming? or just when it is actually roaming?

Thanks, have a great day

PS Will God be upset if I pray that the v710 is realeased soon?

Treo 600 Store Release on 7/19/04

Customer service told me the Treo 600 would be in stores on 7/19/04. The CS Rep said that's when they will be in stores, but may not be on sale that actual date. She also said that it may not be on the website on 7/19/04, as the phones sometimes are released in stores first.

I can't wait to get mine!

Is Verizon still charging $20 for secondary lines plus $10 for all additional lines wanting IN-Network?

Any other video messaging phones coming out?

Hi guys,
I am due for my New Every Two and want a Verizon video messaging phone. I went to my local Verizon and saw the Samsung 670 and the LG 7000. I liked the size of the Samsung, but it only saves 2 videos and you can't email any. I liked the video quality of the LG 7000 but I did not like the fact that it's significantly bigger then the other flip phones. Does anyone know when Verizon will be getting any more video messaging models in?
Thanks!

The GREATEST phone ever made: Moto T720/730

I clicked on the advertising link just to look at phones.

I came across the T730 for sale and my body just cringed.

This phone reminds of when Sony produced it's My First electronics lineup for kids.

🤣 what a joke

If one is to go international....

My sister is going to Italy for about 6 months and she needs a cell phone. Right now she has VZW with the Motorola T710 (sucky phone).

Does Verizon give a loaner phone to go overseas or something? What are her ALL her options, even not use VZW service.

Thanks

Verizon vs. Cingular

I would just like to take a moment to say that I think it wonderful how the maturity level in this forum has gone up tremendously. Instead of Cingular or VZW being "poopie" or saying stupid stuff like that it's gotten down to brass tacks...hell even 85 percent has seemed to grow a bit...it's a much happier forum now

Agent/Retailer,Cust. Service, Direct

I have thoroughly enjoyed most of the subjects/forums but lets see if we all can be civil and help each other out. Where do you work and in what state/city do you work in? As you can see from my profile, I have been in cellular for 21 years and am located in Philadelphia PA.

Just Curious...

Does anyone here KNOW what Verizon plans to do after the Cingular-AT&T merger? As prices are now, Verizon is going to take a hard hit unless it makes some changes. People won't be able to ignore Cingular's quality and price if Verizon doesn't take some action to change theirs. I'd really appreciate some REAL answers, no guesses please.

What packages do you have or which is the best?

I just got my LG VX7000 a few days ago so I am still learning everything. I just learned how to send MP3's as .mid to my phone via pix messaging.

Right now the package I have is 500 text messaging and 20 pix messaging a month for $7.99. However, I really want to get unlimited wireless internet.

How much do you pay for text messaging, pix messaging and unlimited wireless internet. I just want to get the best package.

Buy New or Go eBay?

Greetings,

My trustworthy StarTac (nearly 3 years old) is starting to show it's age and I'm having more and more an issue with dropped calls. (I live in an area of town that is notoriously a cell phone dead zone we're trying to get a new tower built but damn local government is not being cooperative.)

I am eligible for a new phone under the new every two plan but I'm really not thrilled with the offerings right now and I HATE being locked into contracts. I'm going to try to stick with my current plan as long as I can my usage is about to go up and I may have to change to a higher rate plan which will require a contract extension anyway. Regardless, I will not sign anything more than a one year contract as I hate the idea of being locke...

INTERESTING!!!!

Well there was a 20/20 report tonight(Fri) on cellphones-Network quality and customer satisfaction. The test was done in N.Y. city and they used the same phone (Nokia) for Sprint,Att,Verizon,Cingular. And guess who won the test overall-CINGULAR, Verizon was second,AT&T third and Sprint was dead last. If you go to-http://abcnews.go.com/-click on the 20/20 link and you can read it for yourselfs. I found this quite interesting 🙂 🙂 -They never specified the actual Nokia model but overalll quite interesting.

The Cingular Threat

Family share plans are the most widely used plans in the cell phone industry.

Now VZW has cheaper plans but so does Cingular.

VZW's most popular plan with IN-network on ALL shared lines is 59.99 plus $10.00 for innet and $20.00 for the secondary.
2 lines $89.99
3 lines $109.99
4 lines $129.99
5 lines $149.99

These line would share 800 mins and have unlimited off-peak.

Now but lets compare cingular's 59.99 plan. Cingular offers rollover and mobile to mobile on all lines. Cingular charges $9.99 for each 2nd line.
2 lines $69.98 ($20.01 savings)
3 lines $79.97 ($30.02 savings)
4 lines $89.96 ($40.03 savings)
5 lines Not Available ($149.99 savings 😁 )

These lines would share 850 mins and have unlimited off-peak.
