😁 Just thought I would let everyone know that VZW now has the Treo600. It is only available to Corporate accounts at this time but it will be avail Aug 1st for the general consumer to purchase.

Also the AudioVox 9900 and Motorola V710 should be out around Sept. 1st

I haven't been subscribed here that long, but I've only seen discussions pertaining to equipment and networks. How would you all rate the carriers as it pertains to customer service?

I would like to thank all of you for replying to the original thread posted about cingular's roaming clause in the contract.

All of you provided excellent well thought out feedback that was not critizing, nor was it biased. When I replied back asking where in the VZW contract it has that same clause all of you were quick to find that clause and direct me to it since I've read it many times and couldn't find.

On a side note; I like coming to these forums because it's a good place to discuss about m&p's, debate w/ other carriers. I really enjoy how everyone is so mature in the way they write and present themselves. could someone check coverage for me in zip codes 37058 and 37175 and 37176 know its a lot but my mom has versizon service through her company and i just wanna see how well it will work in my area

I'm starting a law program down at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, FL this Fall and was just curious if anyone who frequented these boards happened to be an NSU student, faculty or from around the area and could speak for the Verizon coverage?

My apartment is within a few blocks of the campus so I'm hoping if coverage on campus is good so will coverage at my apartment.

I have an interesting question. I have been to the T-Mobile store and to a Cingular store. I asked them both if a certain city had a tower either in or very near to where I to a street that I was interested in. They showed where their towers were, and I even knew where the nearest street to the tower was.
My question is this: Does Verizon have another website other their major one that shows either the whole nation or state? These two maps are to generalized. I want to see what the Verizon salesperson see's. Why is it, that the Verizon salesperson does not want to share this info with a possible customer?

I called Verizon yesterday about an issue and they asked for my ESN number of the phone.
I gave it to them and they said it started with a "D" - I told them mine started with "HEX" - They were like O - ok.
What does the "HEX" mean? Is this a re-conditioned phone and not a brand new one?

1. Does anybody have any updates on when Verizon will be releasing the Treo 600/610? I was under the impression that it would be released by July 12th.

2. I've heard that the 610 will have a higher resolution display and more memory, but have also heard complaints about the 600's camera. Is there a chance that the 610 will have a better camera.

And what are the chances for an extendable antenna?

To Phone Pimp and Cain, what is this I'm hearing...Dow Jones News is stating that a Consumer group called Consumer Federation of American, is trying to slow the FCC's review...saying that the 6 months will not allow them enough time to analyze new info the FCC has given them? Any input on this?

I have had the verizon v60p for a good 7 months now and the only problem i have with the phone is that the connection will randlonly cut out when i am talking on my phone. it could also use a color screen. Also i understand that verizon has just entered the market in the PTT game. i am a firm believer in verizon and i know they will improve there PTT speed. For now i think they should work on coming out with new PTT phones real soon. There are a lot of people out there that need another reason to buy the PTT for verizon. New and better phones would be a good marketing technique. Does anyone know where I can buy an old dual mode phone? I usually get dual mode and band mixed. I'm looking for a phone that operates on a digital 800-900mhz band and anaolog.

I think dual mode is digital and analog, and dual band is all digital (CDMA 1900mhz and 800 mhz)
