Cellular Video Issue.

Lately I've been having an issue while launching CV. I frequently go to the CNN hourly news updates, but I've noticed that since last Friday it doesn't refresh (I mean, they're still giving the news from last Friday) Could this be a phone issue or a CV issue. Also, last Fri I updated my phone's software to the v4.6.0.304 (BB Bold) Could this be related to that? ๐Ÿคจ

Can you ever go back from Blackberry?

My wife and I both have storms (fyi we had contemplated other smart phones and carriers...it is confirmed we bleed verizon red lol )

we are thinking of switching to another phone to save some money...maybe an env touch. The problem is...is it possible to live without a blackberry once you get used to it? Looking for advice and feedback. The big beautiful screen for web browsing and push email I fear has spoiled us....what say you?

just wondering other folks thoughts.

thanks

Droid Autofocus Fix Now Available: Clean The Lens

One problem that has plagued a lot of Droid users is a malfunctioning autofocus. Take a close up picture of a barcode, or a high contrast image, or various other photo types, and the autofocus just doesn't work properly. You can tell the phone has auto-focused when green frame lines are visible in the corners (another way is to view images after you've taken them and see if they are, cough, blurry).

A lot of people have complained about the problem, even our own guys over at MobileCrunch: "The main issue is with the auto-focusing system, primarily because it just doesn?t work." Here's a video of the problem. More complaints here.

Most users where hoping for a software upgrade in the near future that would fix the proble

Is this possible?

I was reading boy genius and was wondering is it really possible for verizon or any other carrier to send silent updates to phones without people knowing about it?

Phone suggestions Please

Hello,

I need a new phone and I am finding verizons selection quite lame. Or maybe I dont know enough about all of them. ( so i am lame?)

I have been examining them for a few days and cant make up my mind. Please give suggestions based on these preferences. Thanks.

I like flip phones and dont like bar phones, but might go for a bar if the right one comes along..

I like\need long battery life.

I talk and do a small amount of texting, but would like to text more. I would like a qwerty keyboard if possible maybe.. but would prefer,No email, no internets, no data plan.

I like a phone that feels like quality, I hate cheap plastic feeling phones.

I tend to be tough on phones and sometimes they dont last the full 2 years so...

Reports of Chad's demise...

...are greatly exaggerated. Chad is back. When last seen, Chad was walking beside Test Man being welcomed to the team. Well...Alltel is still running commercials. Chad is here and so are the four guys from Verizon, AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile. The evil four are accused of locking customers into long term contracts. Chad offers the LG Touch FREE with a one year contract. The Touch for Alltel is the same as Verizon's Chocolate Touch (8575).

Best Insurance Options

First, anyone who replies to this thread, please be objective and provide info about various options, those from within Verizon and thru 3rd party companies.

I realize this forum is like Ivory Soap, where 99 and 44/100's of the people who participate are Verizon Wireless employees or affiliated in some way, shape or form. I ask you to please step back from towing the company line, and provide info about the best options available to consumers.

I'm interested in insurance options for a range of phones. For my family I need to replace their LG Env's and I'm thinking of getting either the Samsung Rogue or LG Env Touch (as of 11/8/09 both of which now require data plan, total BS IMO) since these phones are very similar to their current Env...

Verizon Droid Data Plan, Tethering and Exchange Email Will Cost You

I stopped by a store today in NJ to check out the phone, was pretty excited with all the buzz, and the device and OS is actually quite nice.

While playing w/ the phone browser I typed in Verizon Droid and up came this article.
http://www.pcworld.com/businesscenter/article/181590 ... »

I have to agree that Verizon is pricing the add-on services for this phone so high, along with the new ETF coming in a week, that they are going to discourage adoption of this and other new smart phones.

I was interested in getting these for the family, since we're all up for renewals, I'm good with the equipment pricing, but the data plans along w/ tethering and Exchange access for one line will add over $150 to ...

http://www.appleinsider.com/articles/09/11/09/verizo ... »

Verizon and Motorola's strong marketing push leading up to the launch of the new Droid handset had a significant impact on brand perception in the 18- to 34-year-old target demographic, pushing it well above AT&T, according to a study released Monday.

Daily tracking from YouGov's BrandIndex shows that scores associated with the Verizon Wireless brand have soared since the Droid advertising campaign launched on Oct. 18, up until the launch of the Droid last Friday. Verizon's score went from 8.3 to 24.2 on the study's scale, which ranges from -100 to 100.

During the same frame, AT

Question for Reps

Sorry, I know you've dealt with this question before, but I just never had it happen, so I didn't really pay attention...
Have a 9 month old Palm Centro that just died. The center button (unlock) will not work, so, uh, I can't use the phone at all without a battery pull/restart every time... It is not wet, just normal scuffs/scratches. Being under a year old (I have no insurance) will they replace it with a refurb or new Palm and what do I do if they will? Do I need to go to the store I purchased it at or any store? Do I need my receipt? Am I sol? (I am the primary on a family share plan, no one on my plan is eligible for upgrades until January, and my yearly upgrade as the primary is not until Feb.) Thanks.
