Unlimited Data Plan

I am considering switching from AT&T to Verizon. I currently have an iPhone 3G and I am considering the Storm 2. Does VZW offer an unlimited data plan?

Versa and Returning Question

Hey guys i was planning on buying the Versa now, because it is only 30 dollars and trying it for 30 days. If i want to return it and wait til May (going back to my original upgrade date) to get the Touch to see which i like better. Does this sound like a accurate plan?

Media Sync for Droid

Frequent lurker, but rare poster here. I currently have the Blackberry 8330. One of the features I really like is the Blackberry Media Sync desktop software that I can use to to sync my Blackberry with iTunes. This software imports all my playlists and does it almost as easily as my iPod syncing to iTunes. I know that the Droid will not sync directly to iTunes, but are there any third party apps or software tools similar to Media Sync that can be used with iTunes? I am really hoping Droid supports something that is as simple as the Blackberry Media Sync.

Storm Email VS My Storm 1?

Hi All,

My wife and I both have 1st gens storms...we are very comfortable with blackberry and have not had a quality motorola it seems since the startac days lol

My question is......is the droid worth upgrading too...quality...software etc? I am wondering from people in the industry that know a heck of a lot more than I do about this stuff.

thanks

Transferring data from Backup Assistant to Smartphone

My friend / business partner just wrote a good how to on transferring information from Verizon Backup Assistant to your PDA phone without the use of a store's transfer device.

Shameless plug for our own website, I know, but it's good information.

dont buy the droid at best buy

☹️ Yes I too have pre order the phone from best buy, but here the catch they dont know whether they will be able to fill the pre orders that they have, i am third on the list, and the woman told me if they only get 2 phones that i would have to wait, they pre order by selling you a gift card with your deposit and when i said well i want it refunded since i thought my chances will be better at my verizon store at 6 am they said they dont give refunds on gift cards, what a rip off. Best buy sucks, i will never do business with them again.

Got a Hands on with the droid today...My first impressions...

So what does a guy do when he wants to see the most hotly anticipated cell phone release on verizon maybe ever? Well you simply walk in and see the phone in the hands of some faux hawked rep who was monkey'n around with it.

Here are my first impression after a solid 15 minutes playing with the device...

Screen:
beautiful!! The screen is gorgeous and crystal clear

No need to preorder Droid...plenty on hand

We just got our shipment and I'm happy to say that Verizon is not repeating last year's chaotic Storm shortage. So far, we have received 532 Droid devices, a combination of HTC and MOTO

Droid....Full Retail Price

Does anyone know what the full retail price will be for the Moto Droid? I currently have the BB Storm, Ive had it for about 7 months. From what I understand, if I want to purchase the Droid or any otehr phone, Id have to pay full retail, correct? Does anyone know any other way I can buy the Droid phone at a lower rate rather than paying full retail?

Thanks for your help and insight! 🤨

Droid hands on!

Keyboard leaves a little to be desired, but the screen is very comfortable to use. Heavy, but solid. Doesn't feel fragile at all.

Back to the screen, it is responsive, but not like the 5.0 OS Storms or the HTCs. Not os related. Seems to want to scroll when I want to drag.

Feels like an iPhone, with better reception, and a keyboard (even if it feels small and nonresponsive).

I like it, though I'd wait for the HTC Android device, personally. It is still the bees knees.

What phone for a decent calendar?

I'm way past my NE2 date but nothing out there looks decent. I went with a smart phone last time because it was the only phone that has a useable calendar but windows mobile is junk so I'm still in search of a decent calendaring phone.
I don't want a seperate pda because I don't want so much things on my belt, have to carry a work pager, phone, pda, etc so combined is why I want a phone with decent calendar.
No need to data plan so I don't want to get another smart phone unless they will grandfather in the pay as you go I have now.

Will it be possible to update the Droid to newer Android versions?

Say Android Version 2.5 or 3.0 comes out in 6 months or so. How would I update the phone? Why would I not want to do this? Does a update lose the content in the phone? Contacts etc.

I think the Imagio trumps the Droid

The MediaFlo TV feature on the Imagio and the poor keyboard on the Droid which forces the use of the soft keyboard most of the time cause me too lean to getting a Imagio. But I will wait and look at the Droid on Friday.

Question about the 30 Day Return Policy and Original Upgrade Date

Hey guys i had some interest in trying out the LG Versa phone with the 30 day policy, but an online chat rep told me i can return the phone within 30 days and get my refund and go back to my old phone, plan and my original upgrade date, another person who works for verizon confirmed this too. Which i wanted to ask two things about this, 1) Is this really true, you can return the device and everything goes back to default or will i really be stuck with the phone? Just cause i don't want to sacrifice my 100 credit in May but want to try out the Versa. 2) If i return the phone, will i have to pay a restocking fee for the phone? Thanks in advance.
