I need a sturdy phone that has good reception and battery life. I don't care about much of anything else, I only do about 10 texts a month, I don't use the web on the phone...

The Barrage looks like the perfect fit. Some of the reviews I have read are that
it's just so so ..

Anyone have any experience with it here? Can any of the verizon employees chime in with stories good or bad.

Why all the hoopla about the Android Droid phone?

I would think WM6.5 should be much more developed and stable.

I got the phone today and I just live the phone. Its amazing. Only really one complaint of have is for me atleast going from portrait to landscape takes awhile depending what screen I'm in. But to my main point I'm making this thread. Just because I'm anal about how my phone looks and works. My back panel on the top is a loose is that a common thing. Also sometimes the tough screen click board doesn't click when I lock the phone or it just doesn't click in the send and end buttons ect ect. I just want other peoples thoughts.

Does anyone know what date we can pre-order the Droid?

I know Best Buy is one option, but I prefer to go with Verizon.

I hear VZ is coming out with the Curve 2, does anyone know how it will compare to the current Tour? I am itching for a new Blackberry (currently have the pink curve) but not sure if I should wait for the Curve 2.

I am growing more and more unhappy with each new Blackberry that RIM offers.

The latest one (Tour) is been a huge disappointment for me.

I am wondering if any of you has used, or does use a "traditional" phone that has email capability (i.e. LG EnV 3) and if so, what has your experience been?

I have the HTC Touch Pro and am looking at upgrading. I'm trying to see what people think are a better phone to upgrade to. It has to be a windows based smartphone, and its coming down to the Touch Pro 2 and the Imagio. Its looking like the Imagio is a better phone between the two. Let me know what you think? 😁

Has anyone ever tried to set of a mobile email account that wouldn't validate when given the correct address and password?

The phone in question is an EnV Touch. The customers email was a live.com address which would not validate for anything. When I tried an alternate msn.com account it validated with no problems.

I have assured that the email address and password are correct for the live.com account

An hour with tech support and I got nowhere. Granted it is a Friday night and the service is always a bit lax to say the least

I went to the store to get my STORM 2 and it was not available. I came home and it is online. Why isn't it in the stores yet? I thought today was the release date? I am curious if the deal is better online since it is an INSTANT rebate. Normally in store is mail in rebate, right?

The driod is everything everone has said already so I wont waster time and repeat. However the HTC Eris I am so impressed with this device, I am gonna choose it over the Driod. I didnt have it activated yet but I do have a MIFI in my store so I was able to surf the web and stuff. Andriod Market was awesome easy to use. Touchscreen was fluid and no major lag. ***Web Browser uses the pinch like the Iphone***You tube built in aap was clear. Overall the interface is great. I think this phone will be a hit. I really like this phone....plus it will be cheaper than the Driod, and it comes out the same day from my understanding.

I am eligible to upgrade in late Nov when I reach the 1-yr mark on my 2yr contract. However, since I will be taking a long road trip in mid-Nov, I was hoping to get the Droid so I can use it on the trip. I asked a VZW rep whether I could get an early upgrade & was shot down (politely). I asked if a supervisor could force the early upgrade & was told that they couldn't.

Is that accurate? I was under the impression that VZW supervisors could pretty much override the system at will. I was hoping someone here could tell me whether it was possible to get the early upgrade (meaning I just need to be more persistent) or whether it's a lost cause. Thanks.

As much as people make fun of Verizon for their advertising campaign, they sure accomplished one thing. They got you all talking.

I think the Droid will actually do quite well on Verizon. Android is gonna take off. WinMo sucks, people are tired of the Crackberry and nobody cares about the Pre since WebOS is still new and has very limited app support. But Palm is late to the game. The ball is in Google's court right now.

I was wondering if anyone knew if Verizon is ever going to come to Morgantown, WV. My whole family has Verizon except for me because I live in Morgantown and I always hear how awesome there coverage is. Thanks so much......

I cannot take credit for this. I found this on the Boy Genius Report site...Its at the Motorola Droid Event. If this is what the phone can do I just need to verify how good the call clarity will be...Then screw the Storm 2 as least thats how I feel.

If you choose the one year contract option through Verizon, at the end of your contract are you eligible for a new discounted phone if you renew your contract? And how would that work for a family plan?

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I really don't like going the two year route. And I know for the one year option, you basically add $50 to the phone price.

Somebody tell me what's goin' on here - got my new Storm2. Seems like a pretty solid phone-great screen, etc. So I hold down the "Power Off" button and turn it off. Now there is no way to turn it back on short of a battery pull.

My contract is up and I can upgrade anytime now. I'm probably going to do a 1 year contract so that I'm not stuck with the same phone because I think alot of new things are going to be coming out in the next year or so. Which phone would you guys go with?

ive been toying with the idea of switching from tmo to verizon, i have no problem gettin gout of my contract, i dont really have a problem with tmo the service is good, im just tired of edge, thats really my only problem

the release of the cliq was slightly dissapointing and i really dont want to downgrade screensize to the cliq even thouhg i do like the features of it and the phone overall.

i drop quite a bit of money on my phones (i get a new one every 4-6 months, so most of the time its full retail unless i find a good deal on a used/refurb)

im a younger guy, i dont have BAD credit, just very little (though the small amount i have is good) and i was wondeirng what the average securit...
