I thought our mindless bickering was...well...mindless, but after glancing over half a thread everything I've read here, including posts from 1stCanuck seems almost scholarly. I'm rather proud of us for discussing the issues in life more important than Verizon vs. Cingular. Issues like abbreviations, punctuation, bad calls and the like. Thanks guys, let's keep the babbling rhetoric up! 🤣 😁 🤣

Remeber the GAIT phone?
Does anyone else here remember the promise held out for the GAIT phone? I love that Nokia 6340. I still lurk on ebay santching up good ones when I can. I sell them to customers who are interested in a phone that actually has a good signal and receives calls...not fancy "stuff" that has little to do with making and receiving calls.

Yet another escape plot foiled...
How in the world could a company realistically go on a mass hiring spree for two weeks and then suddenly lay off almost all those hired? Apparently it's possible because it just happened to the company I was attempting to get away from all this with and they're doing just fine from a business standpoint. I believe now, more than ever, that there was a curse placed upon me when I began my employment and has bound me to this building for eternity. Or maybe I'm dead and this is hell...a call center.

TDMA VS GSM CUSTOMERS
I dunno how many of you out there deal with both tdma and gsm customers, but I recently transitioned from tdma to gsm and thankfull I did cause the gsm customers are so much nicer and alot more patient with the merger and with every, dont get me wrong there are some people on gsm that are just as stupid but not nearly as much as tdma. am I the only one that notices this or am I going crazy?

Why are'nt custome care reps unionized?
Here in customer care, we are grossly underpaid overworked and now we are losing our aux time to boot. Are our standards that low ?Or are we just scared of Cingular. Walmrt is to be unionized to assit the workers and i believe we should be too. We need to consolidate the power of the rep right now to look into our own needs instead of having our needs melded from time to time as cingular sees fit. What is the general consensus on this issue?

So is everyone else painstakingly bored?
I've been gone for two days and celebrated 4/20 so hard I barely remember it. I come in today, talk to nothing but reps who can't understand me and customers who refuse to listen. Now, and I'm not complaining, the calls just stopped. I'm not in ACW and I made sure I'm logged in right. If anyone else is this bored and cares to share I'd be overjoyed to find out the extremes boredom has brought us to.

Why do I have to take esclations from BEUC
BEUC processed an exchange for a customer for a physically damage and of course the customer got charged. And yet BEUC resdesk refused to take their own fscking escalation 😡 😡
