i am switching from verizon to att. any phone recommendations. i don't need all bells and whistles. i was looking at razrvxx,nokia6055,samsung717 as possibles. any input is appreciated. oh yeah, i'm a new member to this forum. been reading for some time. but just joined recently. i'm glad i found it.

I've had an iPhone since September. Don't love it. Don't hate it. It's plain old OK. But since I find myself wanting less and less to have my email always with me, I want a regular phone. Problem is, there's not one ATT phone that I want other than the V9. This phone comes in one horrible color, that I as a man could not possibly keep as my phone. So, I wish to go back to Verizon. I'll never get my $20 a month RadioShack/Verizon Employee plan, but I can still cut my bill without a data plan.

Is there any trick, gimmick, or legitimate way to break my ATT contract and not pay a termination fee? Working at RadioShack, I was able to get out of a Sprint contract once, but I honestly don't remember how me and and my accomplice did it.

I have a customer with a HTC 8525 that has had a lot of call issues since the 3G launch. Is there a way you can change the settings in the phone to turn off the 3G and just use the GSM? Input appriciated. Thanks.

My Sony Ericsson 580i I believe is locked to Cellular One (when powering off, the Cell One logo is displayed). If this phone is truly locked, and I get the unlock code, will all services and notifications work on the AT&T network if I install an AT&T SIM card?
Also, how do I know for sure the phone is locked to Cellular One, seeing I bought it off of eBay?

Hello all,
I currently have a partner line that I no longer use. It is under a two year contract set to expire in December 2008. Is their any way I could just migrate my main cellular number over to AT&T and terminate the partner line with little or no early termination fees?

I have AT&T service with media net plan. If i put my sim into a iphone (locked to at&t), will it work? What if the iphone is unlocked?

I worked for AT&T for a year and a half before moving to Pennsylvania. I was lucky enough to remain in the wireless industry by getting a job at a Cellular One dealer. During the interview, I was told that AT&T had bought Cell One. I had read about the AT&T/Dobson deal, but was unaware that Dobson was Cell One. I am happy about the change because I have an advantage over the other Cell One reps in the area. We went to a training on the migration and the trainer knew that I had worked for AT&T. She did not know more than what they had taught her at her own training so she asked me for verification on just about everything.

I picked up my Nokia 6555 on my upgrade this weekend. Two actually, one for me and one for the hubby. I LOVE IT! Thank you so much Chainsaw and others who helped me make the decision! I love it! My husband and I can finally talk cell to cell without me telling him to hang up and call me from a land line! His LG stunk! Now we both have awesome Nokias. This phone rocks! I've been faithful to Nokia since 1999 and this confirms why! Woo hoo! Sweet phone! 😎

I've been mulling over buying a new phone over the past few months... initially I wanted a basic phone (I currently have a Nokia 3120) and didn't care much about cameras or MP3 playback capabilities, but now I wouldn't mind a phone with A2DP capability.

So I'm wondering which AT&T phones these days support A2DP. I don't need/want a smartphone and I tend to be partial toward Nokias. It seems that the 6555 and 6085 support A2DP; too bad AT&T no longer carries a decent Nokia candybar phone anymore, because I'm not a huge fan of flip phones, although I wouldn't rule them out either.

I'd seriously consider the Sony Ericsson W580i, but that flat and cramped keypad has me thinking twice about getting one. (What a crisp and stellar...

my mom has a 580 right now and she likes it. we saw the shine at the mall yesterday and she thought it was beautiful. she is still in her 30 day return policy. does the shine have advantages over the 580? or just the looks? what should she do?

ok so i called 611 cust care today and i was trying to upgrade to have everyone on the family plan to have unlimited txting except for my brother in law who has the iphone . . . the rep and the supervisor told me that that was impossible because with the iphone on the family plan it wouldnt work . . . is this true? is there any way to get around that if it is true besides adding the 20 dollar plan to the individual lines?

I currently have a family share w/ 3000 minutes and an unlimited data package for one line on VZ. I have had it with their lousy equipment and so tired of their "but we have the best network" BS. There are some exciting phones coming to AT&T in '08 and I want to be able to use those.

Anyway here is where the confusion comes in....one of my lines is on a month to month so that one can be ported, one is out of contract on 12/19/07, one 1/12/08 and the last one not until 6/6/08. My billing cycle is through the 7th of every month.

If I can I want to avoid paying double for any of the lines and hopefully get the first 2 over to AT&T with 3 new phones for Christmas. (I realize that the one that is...

Does anyone know a release date for this phone? I'm making the switch soon from VZW to AT&T and am holding out to see what new phones come out. I have to pay a ETF with VZW so not in a big hurry, but would like to switch over in the next month or two. I was waiting for this phone, the black LG shine, or the pink SE 580i. Does anyone have any more info they could pass along?
