Convince me..

Now I will be totally honest...

I have been a loyal Verizon customer for several years now. Their network really is outstanding. I get a signal EVERYWHERE... but I have to admit, their phone selection, limited features and poor GUI are enough to make customers angry.

Anyways, I had cingular about 6 years ago - and I was miserable with it. Calls often would not get through, and it was difficult to make calls due to poor signal. Finally I was fed up and quit to go to Verizon where I am now.

Well now Im considering going back, but my biggest concern is network/signal. Im afraid Im going to be unhappy with AT&T service like I was years ago.

How come some many people still complain about AT&T service? Does it just depend on the ...

AT&T & T-Mobile Roaming Agreement?

I have an AT&T Nationwide Plan with no roaming. Lately, in my home market of Los Angeles, I have been roaming onto the T-Mobile network.

Will my account be canceled if I have too much "off network" usage?

Or, will I be charged any roaming fees for voice, texting, or data? Or is it like being on the AT&T network?

iPhone AT&T's top-selling handset

Well. I have to say this is a bit of a surprise. I was expecting the thing to do well, but not that well. The one odd bit of irony is that the first time I pulled the article, immediately underneath it was an ad for unlocked iPhones. So there's bound to be some portion of them that are vanishing into some manner of grey market.

I figured I'd share it because I recall that not long ago, some would-be expert was claiming that the iPhone was really a flop, and that the million units sold were just sitting in inventory somewhere. Whereas this piece cites the number of units delivered to consumers and seems to provide a decent 'warts and all' assessment. I'm not sure I see it becoming the top selling handset overall in the US, though, particul...

Significant 3G rollout the week of Oct. 15th?

There is rumor that there's expected to be a many regions launching 3G on at&t this coming week of Oct. 15th. Some cities that are rumored include Pittsburgh, Minneapolis, Denver, and Oklahoma City. All of these areas are in need of 3G services from at&t and have been very far behind schedule for some time now.

Comments please.

data plan question

I just got my wife the 8525 and I have one as well. I had the unlimited data and text on my phone which I think is 49.99 and then I just added unlimited data and text on her phone. I looked online and it did not just have just data... I thought data was unlimited data was 29.99 and then I was going to get family text 29.99... should save me 10 bucks a month... Does anyone know if this is possible or if I even have my prices right? I called and the person at customer care did not know much. I live in the DFW area by the way.

Store Question

I have a family share plan on VZ that fortunately is about up for 3 of the 4 lines. I plan on porting the first 3 lines to AT&T within a month or so, cutting back the monthly minutes then when the primary contract is up 06/08 will port that too. (Just can't stand the crappy equipment anymore and want more selection)

Anyway, here is my question, I see ads all the time for AT&T in the paper, etc. What is the difference between Authorized Retailers and AT&T stores and is one better to use than the other? I live in the northern Chicago 'burbs.

Thanks fo any help. ๐Ÿ˜•

Will AT&T Get The Blackberry Pearl 2???

I am really feeling the new Blackberry Pearl 2 that VZW is getting. Loving the fact that it has video recording and the MicroSD is on the side. I would love to know if AT&T is planning on offering this new BB? Thanks

Problem!

Okay, here's the weird weird story for you Blackberry experts out there. I need your help!

Okay, the 8300 Curve I have used to be a store phone. The 8310 came out and my manager took the sim card out of the 8300 and put it into the 8310. I don't know what else he did besides that. Now I have the Curve.

Yesterday, I was with my girlfriend and I tried setting up her email on my 8300 Curve because she was going to be with me all day and she wanted to check her email. So we set it up. I just removed her email account from my phone today.

Here's the kicker. Somehow her emails got sent to the 8310 and not the 8300 which I have, so she came into the store today to look at our phones and she looked at the 8310 and saw her emails there. Need...
