Insurance?

Just a plain simple question for my knowledge...does every carrier (ex. Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint) all carry the same insurance by Asurion? Or is it just at&t? Thanks!

‘SKT to Acquire US Telecom Giant Sprint Nextel’

A top executive of SK Telecom Co., South Korea's No. 1 mobile carrier, confirmed Thursday that it is seeking to take over U.S. telecom giant Sprint Nextel Corp., a local media report said Thursday.

SK Telecom Vice Chairman Cho Jung-nam told an Internet news provider E-Daily that the company has pushed for the purchase of Sprint Nextel, and is still contacting related companies for the purpose. "(The negotiations) are still underway," Cho was quoted
as saying.

Sprint Nextel is one of the largest telecom operators in the U.S. with around 53 million customers. Its market capitalization is estimated at US$64.1 billion, according to industry sou...

Questions About Blackberry 8820

I know that this Blackberry does not have a camera, which is fine by me. That is what a digital camera is for 🙂 My question is if I download pics from my digital camera to my laptop and email them to myself, is there a way for me to put the pics in a folder just for pictures? Thanks 🙂

is it me...or does the RAZR have the most problems?

Today we had 8 RAZR customers with the same problem. The keypad would not work except the end/on/off button. Is anyone else seeing this one too. We actually have a scoreboard in the back to track these things and the RAZR is among the leaders. I just feel bad for customers who come in and request the RAZR. I would rather sell them a SYNC or Trax or something that will actually work six months from now, but we have sales on the RAZR's all the time so it's hard to discourage customers from the cheap phone. Let me know if anyone has seen the same trend. ☹️

AT&T overtakes Verizon in JD Powers

WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) -- Wireless-phone customers say their problems are being fixed more quickly and they give the highest marks once again to T-Mobile USA Inc., according to a study by noted consumer-research firm J.D. Power & Associates.
J.D. Power said 81% of the 10,500 wireless subscribers contacted for its twice-a-year survey reported their problems were "resolved in a timely manner," up from 75% in 2004. Customers reported fewer dropped calls or loss of coverage.
The survey suggests the mobile industry is enjoying greater success at keeping subscribers loyal. In an increasingly saturated U.S. market, carriers have spent more money to improve customer service in anticipation of a slowdown in subscriber growth.
'The big news is ...

iphone blog

Even before you could buy one, the word on the iPhone was that it might be the Holy Grail of wireless devices. It was so highly praised that some took to calling it the "Jesus Phone."

The early reviews were almost fawning. Oh sure, they said, the iPhone has a few flaws, but hey! Look at the big, button-free screen! The cool Google Maps application! See how Web pages look like they should on it! And how, when you turn it sideways, pictures and Web pages rotate! And how you can use touch to move from photo to photo! And it's a great iPod, too!

Yeah, those other reviews were pretty breathless. Well, it's time to get a grip, kids, because this is not going to be one of those reviews.

The iPhone is a very different device, and when you f...

Back to at&t

OK I have tried Sprint & T-Mobile. I love the customer care from T-Mobile. Sprint is also cool with blazing EVDO speeds and lots of great phones like the LG Fusic. ??I am not one of these phone company bashers. I think it's amazing the technology & choices we have today. Sure there are things all of the mobile companies can do to be better. I have seen a lot of improvements in the last ten years. I believe competition and customer demands will continue to make companies improve their services. ??I just couldn't take it anymore, the building I work in, no Sprint or T-Mobile signals in the building. A Shopping center nearby, no T-Mobile signal, intermittent Sprint reception. The Wildflowers restaurant at the Pennington Circle in Hopewell NJ, n...

Thin Smartphone?

hey guys,

Coming over from Verizon and I have an iPhone. My girl needs a phone and I am looking for something a girl would like. Preferably a smartphone that can access internet reasonably without distorting pages. If not what is the nicest phone (looks wise) with good texting and mms for a woman, even if its unlocked. As long as it works with voice, data, and mms.

Thanks guys.

You would think Voicemail would be simple to set up

So, I'm attempting to set up voicemail now (been too busy to)...and I'm trying to follow the instructions on the AT&T website (how it says press and hold 1, then instructions will be given to you on how to set up your mailbox)

These instructions are not given to me. Instead, it says:

"Welcome to AT&T Voicemail. We are sorry, but we need more information to direct your call to the appropriate voice mailbox. If you are trying to leave a message, please redial the 10-digit phone number of the person you are trying to call. If you have a mailbox on this system, please press #."

I did both, the first one told me there was not a mailbox for my number, the second one then asked "Mailbox number please" then said "We are sorry, but we ca...

Logo Removal

So I upgrade the ROM on my 8525 & it now says AT&T throughout the firmware. My phone is branded Cingular. Is there a way to remove the Cingular logo from the body without messing it up? I don't want to accidentally remove the gray finish on the phone, or have ugly scratches.

iphone hater turned believer

so I was one of those people who hates the iphone when it first came out, but I decided to get one to sample the suckiness for myself.

I can say now that I was wrong! This thing is amazing! I didn't think I could live with out my Blackberry, but this thing can do anything the Curve can do and then some! From email to maps to call quality I just love this phone. The only negatives I see compared to the Curve is the lack of GPS capability. I'm sure Telenav will be compatible before too long.

Go get one all of you doubters, you won't regret it!

Use the BB Pearl as a "regular" phone?

My wife might be in a situation soon where she will be needing a new phone. She uses it pretty heavily for work, but getting an expensive Data or BlackBerry plan is out of the question. Without going in to all the details, she will only have a calling plan...period.
With that said, would she still benefit from getting a Smart Phone for the calendar, organizer, contacts/address book..etc.? I don't have any experience with Smart Phones, but someone told me that they usually have a better layout for contacts & stuff like that. I know that if she got a BB Pearl and didn't do email on it, she would be wasting the phone's potential...but she would still have a good phone with a few improvements over a regular phone...right? What do you guy...

Force Sync to 2G

Does anybody remember the code for this? One of my employees wants to put his wife's phone on 2G so she'll stop whining.
