a message to customers...

if you go to a store and they aren't to helpful, it's probably because the idiots that run the company discourage sales reps from being to helpful... it hurts their precious little sales numbers... it was written in my performance review not to help as much and sell more... that was 6 months ago. i got my numbers up and today i was told again not to do anything other than sell... we also have to do cold calls to customers to sell. so, if you come into a store and don't want to buy anything, and get the cold shoulder, it's not because we don't want to help, it's because we have been told not to help.

V9?

Any word on when the V9 will be out? I'm looking to add another phone (or two) to my account and don't really want to run out and get a V3xx to find out I could have picked up a V9 if I had waited a few days.

TIA

Noki.a N95 has it all over the iPhone

Looking at replacing my phone. Researched the N95 and wondered why anyone would by an iPhone over the Nokia.

I cannot find anything on the iPhone that is better then the Nokia and a whole lot more on the Nokia . A whole lot more for $100 or less more.

Reasons to get the iPhone.

1. Your iPod broke.

2. You want to consolidate your cell phone and your iPod into one convenient device.

3. You're a nitwit with lots of money to blow.

4. You're a gullible fool who'll buy anything if the advertising is right.

5. You like spending over 500 dollars on the latest fad because your ego depends on it.

6. You like collecting overpriced, over-hyped gadgets with bugs and other flaws.

7. You are sick to death of your RAZR, and the RAZR fad, so you're ready to jump on the bandwagon of the next best thing.

8. Your rich parents are buying this phone for you.

9. You're a nitwit with lots of money to blow.

Question on number portability ASAP please!

😁
I am looking to join cingular after 5 yrs with t-mobile (they are really irritating me). Anyways, I would like to know the requirements for transferring my number. Here is some info: I have a Memphis number from when I first got the phone, but I have since moved to NYC for the last 2yrs. Technically, I am not in the same geographic region as I was when I got the number. Do I have to have my current amount due for t-mobile paid off first? My bill due date is actually today, July 6th. Any other pointers would be helpful! Thanks guys!

Apple Issues Battery Program for iPhone

You spend large amount of money and you battery doesn't carry a warranty? You now have spend $79 plus shipping and handling so that Apple can replace it, not to mention the $29 that AT&T will charge you if you want a loaner phone. You do want to have a phone while yours is getting the battery replaced right?

Now I know why Verizon chose not to make business with Apple.

a message to the phonescoop moderators.

when you post a bad experience with at&t/cingular, we as loyal employees feel bad and want to help... but as with any company fed on corporate greed, we are slaves to the man. if we knew each one of you and could fix your problem, we would! just know that it's not uncommon and it's no wonder the wireless phone companies rank just as high in customer unsatisfaction and used car sales experiences.

a message to iPhone customers.

sorry sales reps haven't been so helpful in your iPhone experiance. the company only started giving us training on it about a week before it launched and we had NO hands on training with the phone until the day before or in some cases the day of the launch... blame Apple though, they didn't want anyone to know how cool the phone was to look at a play with but what limitations it had until the customer bought it and realized it's a Nokia 6010 with a touchscreen and youtube.

former Cingy hater...now AT&T Customer...:-)

Well my how the tables turn! I used to be anti-Cingular, but you know they got the Nokia 2610---and that was enough to get me signed on. And my rep was very nice. Plus with my job, I get 15% off my bill, so yeah, I like the new AT&T, I got everything (auto-pay, paperless billing, etc) set up with NO ISSUES!

Things are looking good. Ok, I'll let you all get back to your lives.

Shalom.

Samsung 717, why is it so expensive?

So in checking our price list I noticed the Samsung 717 is only $3 less than the Blackjack.

WTF?

Why is this phone any more than the SYNC or the new A727? From what I see on good ole phonescoop it has more internal memory. That is it.

Anyone care to shed some light on this one? Does it come with a golden ticket or something?

att reps ..wow.

SO in attempting to exchange my samsung blackjack for a blackberry curve..the first woman I spoke to was clueless. first she didnt know what a blackberry was. she put me on hold for 5 minutes to see what a blackberry was. When she came back she asked weather i wanted the curve in black or red. Black or red?? Hun. the curve is silver. Next. she tried to tell me I couldn't buy a new phone until I returned the samsung blackjack. When they received the blackjack. then I could call back and order my curve. Umm no thats not how that works. I didnt like her so I hung up. (she then called my cellphone about 4 times and left voice mails) after i had just told her i cant receive calls and it goes right to voice mail. The next guy whom I spoke to said...

July 6 2007: 9:50 AM EDT

MENLO PARK, Calif. (Reuters) -- A well-known hacker claims to have overcome restrictions on Apple Inc.'s iPhone, allowing highly technical users to bypass AT&T Inc.'s network to use the phone's Internet and music features.

In a post dated July 3 on his blog, Jon Johansen, 23, a prolific hacker of consumer electronics gadgets since he was a teenager in Norway, said "I've found a way to activate a brand new unactivated iPhone" without signing up for AT&T (Charts, Fortune 500) service.
