AT&T Recepton

Years ago I had a TDMA Motorola V60i with AT&T and had no problems at all with it.

About two years ago my neighbors bought a Cingular/AT&T Sony-Ericsson and I had her bring her cell to my house to experiment. The connection was spotty and unclear.

When will AT&T put up more towers? I like the idea of GSM phones, but I make most of my calls from my upstairs office and I need good reception. I need to be able to reach someone and hold on to the call.

Using 2 different phones by switching the SIM cards?

I know that AT&T uses SIM cards and the technology is GSM. I know that Verizon doesn't use a SIM and the technology is CDMA.

My question is: At AT&T, using one SIM card (having paid for only one SIM card) could a person be using two different phones by switching the SIM card back and forth?

If this is possible, is it also a good or bad idea? Meaning, are there any downsides to doing this switcheroo? 🤨

Buy Phones Online

I've been reading posts on here for awhile, and from what I hear, buying phones online isn't a good idea. My friend, who is a big computer nerd, just bought a phone from Newegg.com. Have you guys heard anything about them? The deal he got was great, but I wanted to check with all of you out there in Phone Scoop Land before I buy.

How does the iPhone have 8 hour battery?

Did Apple somehow create something better then lithium ion?? I think the best battery life of current smartphones is the 8525 (correct me if I'm wrong) at 5 hours of rated talk time, the next closest being 4.5 with the treo 750. So is Apple just lying?? How the hell does the iPhone have an 8 hour talk time? Can anyone point out a phone to me that has ever had 8 hours?

Nokia E62 Replacement

I have noticed that my phone has a dead spot at the top, and the other day it just powered off and back on. I like the phone and am trying to deal with it but in the past, problems only get worse.

Does anyone know what the replacement will be since it is discontinued, if not another E62? Thanks

iPhone, dissapointment so far

So far reading the specs I'm highly dissapointed. The phones internet speeds aren't even 3G. What's up with that? Steve Jobs has a lot of work to do integrating his OS to make this work. I just can't believe how slow the iPhone is browsing the internet!!! I'm also not that impressed with the music capabilities. Why is it that Verizon is capable of so much over the air on their network and Cingular/ATT can't even accomplish that. The only way you can get itunes is to sync it to your phone via usb cable (not compatible with previous iPods (talk about nickel and diming me). I hope the rest of the features make up for these flaws!

Monthly service or contract

If I buy a phone from att I have to set up an account and agree to a one or two year agreement? Right?

And if I buy from any other store whether the phone is locked or unlocked?

Monthly customer?

No contract?

Thinking of switching to at&t from VZW.

I am strongly considering switching to at&t from VZW. I am not bashing VZW but here lately I am struggling with trying to use my phone at home, which is something I have never had problems with before. This problem is something that has started within the past two months, I do not know if it is the phone or the service but either way it is very frustrating. I take very good care of my phone so I don't think that is the problem. My wife has at&t and is able to use her phone at home, she has always been able to without any problems and she always seems to have service. So this one reason I am considering switching.

The main reason I am thinking about switching is due to something that VZW does not currently offer and that is Roll Over ...

Is there hope? (for cor employees only)

I made a comment on the last thread about looking for a new job because of the commission cuts along with the consistent charge backs I get every month thanks to at&t's ever-changing feature packages. Does anyone have any inside info about this changing anytime soon? Is there any hope in the future for us?

The other day my arsm was in the store and we were listening to a conference call about the iPhone which basically said that if you sign a two year agreement you are allowed to get one regardless of how much time is left in your agreement. My first question was whether or not the original rep would get charged back on the first upgrade seeing as anyone who wants an iPhone can renew the contract and she said "yes". She the told me ...

expanding at&t network

Up here in good ol' Eastern Idaho, we have a sister company of AT&T. It's Edge Wireless. I work at a kiosk that sells T-Mobile, Sprint and Alltel.

Who do I have to call to beg AT&T to expand up here? I'm originally from Washington DC, and I want to have network coverage here, and I would LOVE to sell for AT&T. Where can I go to get updates to see if they're coming up here?

Not like I'm planning on living here forever, but it'd be way nice to be able to sell for an AT&T COR store than a kiosk.

I'd be happy if I sold them at a kiosk.

Thanks.

Data plan question..

If I am understanding the AT&T website correctly, AT&T charges business customers more for blackberry service than consumers?
