What site can I unlock a GSM phone at?

I know this is the wrong forum to ask, but this is the most popular one, imho. If I want to unlock a T-Mobile phone, and use it as at&t, what site can I do that at?

Trading in my Treo 650: Blackberry 8703 vs. 7130 vs. Moto Q

I really want the Q based on style and looks, but my treo frustrates me for always freezing, and being unreliable.

The blackberry seems complicated to use, and uninspiring. I also tend to use the camera on my treo a lot.

Anyone made a similar switch?

Questionable 3G Call Quality ...??

I've had both the 6126 and the N75 ... and returned both because the quality of some of my calls were great, but a lot of other calls were almost un-intelligible.

I'm in a strong 3G area in North Texas and am thinking that 3G may be a player in my call quality issues. My 6230 and 6102 consistently provide excellent, garble-free call quality (neither of which are 3G), but the 6126 / N75 couldn't.

I'm looking for suggestions ... is 3G the issue? And if so what do I do about it? I want to upgrade but to what (with everything going 3G)? My 6230 and 6102 are going to quit someday.

Any input would be appreciated ...

taking my number with me (unusual circumstance)

I am planning to switch to at&t later this month, and I want to take my number with me. I know thatโ€™s not a problem normally.
However I donโ€™t want to cancel my contract with verizon. I want to keep my plan with verizon, but get a new number for the verizon plan and take my current number with me to at&t. Is this at all possible?
I donโ€™t want to loose my number, but i also donโ€™t want to pay to cancel my contract with verizon.

Thanks for you help,
Kinkade

Calling all at & t agents......you might get hung up on.

In recent months I have notice that at some at&t agent stores (MS,AL,LA) that we are loosing some of ability to do certain accounts such as business accts#, Also whats up the at&t unity plan should this be an add on feature rather than a plan? Also some agents are stating a reduction in commission even with perfect mystery shops. Are we being forced out of business? Could some please shed some light on all this? ๐Ÿ˜•

Question about the BB Pearl

My wife is eligible for an upgrade. She wants the red pearl but does not want the data plan. She does not use the SMS or the internet on her phones. Does she have to get the data plan or can she just use her existing plan?

Live Ticker Charges

OK, here's one for the experts/employees out there. My phone has that old Cingular Live Ticker feature on it. You get headlines and a paragraph about local, national, and sports news, and your local weather forecast. Most of the time it is worthless because it is so outdated. I look at it infrequently, and have on occassion pushed the More button by mistake and incurred a 5 or 10 cent charge for accessing the internet. Not a problem; my
mistake.

I should point out I use my phone as a phone only; no internet, no music, no photos, no nothing.

On my bill this month I had about 25 charges for data. They were all small data transfers ranging from 3kb to 12 kb, with a total charge of $2.70. I called Customer Service and talked to a...

Starting a new account with AT&T?

This question is for the AT&T employees that sell plans. When starting a new account do they do a credit check? I have a plan with Verizon right now that I have had for a long time. I have had some credit bumps about 1.5 years ago from a business venture and I wonder if I should not wait for an Iphone if I may not be able to start an account. What do they look for in the credit check? I have gotten accounts since my "credit bumps".. Just curious and thank you.

Hi all!

I'm looking to switch to ATT and I was curious if it is some how possible to choose the last 4 digits of your phone number.

Are there any carriers that allow this?

Buy your pepper spray!

AT&T has confirmed that the iPhone will be available in all 1,800 AT&T phone stores at 6 p.m. sharp on June 29, according to an interview with USA Today. "We fully expect one or more of our stores to run out of stock on the first or second day โ€” my guess is the first day," says Larry Carter, senior vice president of sales for AT&T, the iPhone's exclusive U.S. distributor.

I read a week ago that there was an estimated 1.9 million people interested in getting the iphone. With only 1,800 AT&T locations, all I can say is good luck cor!

iPhone & the price..will it sell? Yes.

Too expensive....humbug.

The iPhone price will NEVER come down as it shouln't. Apple will release cheaper iPhones over time with less features as it has done with the iPod.

Hummm. The original black & white iPod was $500 and it could only hold 1000-1500 songs. Everyone said it was too exenpsive or that there was no competition & it would fail.

There was plently of MP3 players out there at that time...Nike, Creative, etc but they all sucked.

They were all wrong then as they are now concerning the iPhone. Everyone will want this phone as everyone wants iPods. Why spend $400 on a video iPod when you can spend a little more & get a phone, a iPod, a Google Maps, YouTube, real email, real web browser, a photo album, & a camera.....p...

iPhone to rule says report

Apple iPhone may capture 26 percent of smartphone buyers - report

While it has yet to ship its first cellphone, Apple is already tied with BlackBerry producer RIM in desirability, a just-published study reveals.
Research group ChangeWave announced the findings on Thursday, confirming early suspicions from analysts that the iPhone will dull the impact of the BlackBerry Pearl and other smartphones in the eyes of potential subscribers.

Conducted in April, the study shows that just over a quarter of all potential buyers in the consumer field are set on buying the Apple phone when it launches this month. The figure is an exact match for future Canadian rival Research in Motion, whose BlackBerries have held their appeal in recent months.

Blackberry Curve/ Push Email

I am interested in getting the blackberry curve as my 1st ever smartphone. I was wondering what are the special features that make this blackberry the best yet? And if I get the 29.99 personal bb plan does that give me the push email? and i seen in a at&t data plan brochure and it stated that the 49.99 unlimited blackberry plan included unlimited text messaging. Now does that plan include the push email too? and with the push email, you get your emails in real time correct? im new to all this bb stuff ๐Ÿ™‚ thanks for the all the help thus far ๐Ÿ™‚ i also heard great things about the battery life and that is really important to me. i currently have the POS razr and its horrible battery life is getting on my last nerves ๐Ÿ™‚ THANKS
