What will Cingular's new website be?

www.thenewatt.com?

as far as I know www.att.com is taken already. And I definitely don't think it'll be www.attwireless.com 😡

Cingular/at&t Retention for new phone

My wife got her first phone a few years ago through AT&T. They became Cingular a year or so later. We've finished our contract and go month to month.

A few months after buying hers, there was a deal to add a phone to the plan for $19.99 (usual rate) - $10 = $9.99/mo additional. Also, they would give an additional 200 monthly minutes to do so. Knowing that they had this special and I needed a new phone, we were waiting to add me. So we did.

Now we get 550 minutes/mo, pay $49.98/mo, and have free evenings and weekends. We generally don't use anywhere near our minutes, although we do use a lot of the free minutes to talk to family.

So now AT&T, having become Cingular, is becoming the new at&t. I just called them to confirm what we had ...

What Cingular Data plan recommended for Nokia E50?

I'm re-posting this because my earlier post's subject line was inappropriate... I'm hoping maybe someone with answers might see it now:

I am trying to make sense of Cingular's various data plans because I would love to purchase the Nokia E50 that just recently came in at the flagship store in NYC.

I am not trying to cheat with the plan, but of course I don't want to waste money either.

Does anyone knowledgable about Cingular's data plans have any good advice for me?

I've sifted through these boards & found similar discussions re: other phones, but not about the new Nokia E50 yet.

Anyone?

LG CU500

I want to know if i'm the only person here that is having "issues" with my LG CU500. I'm not sure if its the network here (Mississippi) or if its the phone. I'm dropping calling like crazy. When I lay the phone down like on a counter at a store or on my car seat...the phone starts searching for a signal. It takes it FOREVER to find a signal once I do that. I've been a cingular customer for more than 10 years, so i know the coverage in my area is great. I just didn't know if maybe they were having some network problems or not.

6085 or 6126 Coming Soon

I have seen these on the rebate forms and the 6126 on the website(not in the store). I have read on the respective forums that the 6085 will be $99 with $50 MIR. The 6126 came out at 79.99 on the web and is now $50. Is the 6085 supposed to be a better phone. I have to choose between the two....thanks for your input.

I don't get Cingular's data plans...

I was at a Cingular store recently, playing with a Nokia E62 smartphone and I loved it to death. Even though it was a smartphone, I found it easier to navigate than a PDA, especially web browsing. It seemed very powerful too. So, just to look to see if it's worth it to switch so I can get the E62, I looked at Cingular's data rates. Unlimited Smartphone Connect with Xpress mail for $19.99 a month. Awesome! But when I viewed the E62 and clicked the Services tab, it says PDA connect plans. Why is that? The E62 is a smartphone, shouldn't it have Smartphone data plans? If someone could explain to me about data plans, I'd love it. Thanks!

E62 sim or phone

I have the E62 and for the life of me I can't tell whether or not the contacts that I add are going to the phone or the sim card. I want them to go to the sim because I am not keeping this phone. Any input is appreciated.

Question for Cingular CORPORATE reps/leads/assistant managers

K, I work at Sprint now, Im a sales lead (one level below ASM). With the job cuts they have doled out, ASM is a vanishing position, so it doesnt look like Ill be moving up any time in the near future.
I currently make about 33k (assuming 100% commission attainment), and really would like to move that up to around 40k or so.

So, cingular reps, leads, or ASMs.. would you recommend the company as a place of work, and approximatley what would I make in either of the three positions?

Experience-wise.. in my nearly 1 year with sprint, I am cumulatively at around 115% to quota, so selling isnt really an issue.

AT&T says in talks for stake in Telecom Italia
Sun Apr 1, 2007 4:15PM EDT

NEW YORK, April 1 (Reuters) - AT&T Inc. (T.N: Quote, Profile, Research) on Sunday said it is in negotiations for a potential investment in Telecom Italia (TCM.MI: Quote, Profile, Research) S.p.A. whereby AT&T would buy a one-third stake in a holding company that owns around 18 percent of the Italian communication services provider.

As part of the deal, America Movil S.A.B. de C.V. is also considering an investment for one-third of the shares in the holding company, Olimpia S.p.A. AT&T's investment is contingent on America Movil's investment, the company said

Apple Caves To Cingular iPhone Demands
April 1, 9:13 AM source: FCC / Apple

Newly spotted FCC documents provide the final details and specs of Apple's iPhone, and it no longer includes Wi-Fi. The iPhone was approved for GSM/EDGE 850 and 1900, and Bluetooth, but the lack of Wi-Fi certification in the FCC pages shows that AT&T (Cingular) may have won a round at the negotiating table with Apple. The user manual submitted to the FCC also shows that Apple's planned set of "widgets" have mostly been replaced with links to Cingular services such as Cingular Video and MEdia Mall. An Apple spokesperson told Phone Scoop that Wi-Fi was dropped to save battery life. The iPhon...
