I would like to buy an unlocked Chocolate phone and place my current SIM card in it... is that possible?? Or will there be disadvantages to it?

i got an 8525 recently. i live in charlotte area. the room that i stay in is in the basement.the problem is that i donot get any reception or signal in the basement. is there any way to resolve this

Wondering if I could get some feedback on this phone...I love Nokias but some I have had had low earpiece volume but a great speakerphone and the 6102i had a slow GUI. Any feedback?

yes, i know there is a forum just for this phone, but i wanted to hear from people with cingular that have this phone. i had the 600 and a few people at work have the 810 and sony is a great product, has anyone had any reception issues with this phone? i want a phone just to carry when one of my pda's is to bulky.

i get alot of phoen who complain about deposits one guy tells me he paid 800 dollars for his i dont believe so my question is whats cingulars lowest deposit and highest.

I had a pre-paid Go-Phone under Cingular, and the service I got was horrible. I live in the Owings Mills area of Maryland. I swithed over to Nextel, thanks to my parents, and things got a lot better. However, I hear that there is a difference between Cingular Plan service and Cingular Prepaid Service. Is this true?

I also hear that some phones get better service than others. Is this also true?

Has anyone had any experience with this phone? I am thinking of getting it and would love some feedback on it. Otherwise I may get the E62. Thanks

I have this sim card since like forever.
I think I might need a new one if I'm going to go with the treo 750.
I have a friend had the old sim card and when he got the new ericsson he can't go online because the sim card was old.
Who do you guys think?

An NTT DoCoMo board member has suggested that the current model of carrier-subsidized handsets is hurting carriers and handset manufacturers alike, and needs to be changed.


Noriaki Ito, head of strategy and NTT DoCoMo board member, says the incentive system for mobile handsets is too expensive for mobile operators as it exists today.

Cant get some stations to play.if you own a 8525 see if you can play www.kfjc.org. All it says is"the parameter is incorrect".Some other stations a screen comes up saying "download file" but when I try to play it.... nothing.IS ANYONE ELSE HAVING THESE PROBLEMS??!! Cingular said I should call XM Satelite Radio for help.Doesnt make sense to me.Also can it play YouTube? The site said you need to have Flash but will it download to a pocketpc? Keep it simple since im a newb. I would really appreciate some help thanks.

I'm tethering a Cingular phone via Bluetooth to my Palm T|X. It worked fantastically up until about 3 weeks ago. It's sort of like a Treo split into two pieces, I loved it.

Now, it will still dial in the connection fine, but no webpages load. I've checked my Palm browser fine on WiFi. It's just the dialing through the phone that doesn't work. Also, the phone displays the globe/connected icon same as usual, just the palm won't display pages. Also, I can get online fine through the phone's browser (google maps, etc)

I'm on unlimited MediaNET, and I know I should be on a data plan, but I go online so rarely. And I know it worked on MediaNET fine before, so it wasn't the plan.

Did anything change recently with regards to dial-up setting...
