W600i and the white screen of death

Guys, I need some help here. I've had the w600i for some time now, and I (unfortunately got the white screen of death. I went to sony's site and got the software called "Update Service" in order to get the latest software on it, but I can't get it to work. Every time I try to load the software and it reaches 96% it just stops.
What else can I do? I really don't want to send the phone to sony and be w/out a phone for 3 weeks 😢

Where to get music?

My next phone will be a Sony Ericsson (either w810i or w300i) and it's my understanding that they only play MP3 format. I have two sources for music downloads currently on my computer. One sends it all in WMA format and the other is iTunes. I can't use either of those...right? If I need MP3's, where's a good (legal) place to get them from? Thanks in advance.

TDMA to GSM Prepaid Upgrades (LONG)

I work in an exclusively prepaid center. One of the biggest headaches that I have to deal with (which will end sometime in April, HOPEFULLY) is TDMA to GSM upgrades and especially former AT&T Wireless migrations.

Cingular to Cingular migrations are sort of simple except balance transfers take up to 5-7 business days. Former AT&T to Cingular migrations are a bit more of a headache. In most cases, the balance actually transfers automatically the same day. The major issue with both is the STORE REPS. In order to get a FREE phone for upgrade, you have to purchasea PIN card. WHY? Because of the delay in balance transfer for Cingy to Cingy and because the expiration date DOES NOT TRANSFER!!!!!!!!

I have had so many customers call in becaus...

Cing on a whole

On a whole i've been very please with my Cing phone and the service. Coverage is good, up to date phones are cheap (even with the annoying branding and locking of features), customer service via phone is good even though they need a 24/7/365 center to help those who are night owls, some retail locations are honest which is a bonus in a sale based environment. I'd like to see some changes in their feature bundles/packages the unlimited mms and 5mb data and 1000 sms is kind of weird. why wouldn't i just picture message everyone instead of sending texts when i run out of the 1000 sounds like that package needs changed or i need some advice on a better package.

Mobile email (always checks, even at 4am)

😡 I recently found out that any configured Mobile Email account is periodically checked for new email. And, if you get an email at 4am, the Razor v3i will notify you by beeping. This is a pain in the a**, and seems like a bad way to program software. I want to be able to check my email with the Razor, when I want to, but not when I'm asleep. And I certainly don't want my phone waking me in the middle of the night when someone in Asia sends me an email. Has anyone found a way to disable this nuisance while still being able to check email with your phone?

How much better is it really?

I will be switching my Family Share plan from VZW to Cingular in about three weeks. I have narrowed my phone choices down to either the SE W810i or the SE W300i. I have read MANY reviews on both, and they both seem like great phones. But for some reason, the W300i is often referred to as a good "lower-end" phone while the W810i is referred to as an "upper-end" phone. To be honest, I don't see all that much difference between the two other than the camera resolution. Is the W810i really that much better of a phone? If you think so, why?

phone deals

I've been watching cingy's website and noticed in most cases the phones have taken a dramatic downturn as far as pricing, Most likely to get rid of the equip with the cing logo on it. I have a nok 6010 and looking to upgrade to a new flip cam phone, the 6010 has always given me great reception anywhere from florida to new yrk and even in california and some places in vermont due to the tx/rx power and i have had nokia's ever since the 5120 models and just do not want to change. how does the 6102 series actaully compare? i know some of them have speaker problems and the battery time is not nearly as good as the 6010 either. any reps here who have some good knowledge on this. I imagine I may also have to get a new sim also but i dont store any...

Verizon increases SMS rates -- customers now free of their contracts
Posted Jan 12th 2007 3:25PM by Donald Melanson
Filed under: Cellphones

It looks like Verizon Wireless is following in Sprint's SMS footsteps, announcing a planned hike in text messaging rates for those not currently subscribed to a messaging package. The hike, which will take effect March 1st, will bump the cost of sending a text message to the U.S., Puerto Rico, Canada and Mexico from $0.10 to $0.15 per message, with the price for international text messages remaining at $0.25 per message. The cost of receiving a message from customers of foreign wireless carriers, however, will increase to $0.15 whe...

Any Assistant Managers out there

I'm currently with a competitor and am seriously considering applying for an assistant manager possition with cingular and am curious about what duties you have, what sort of pay structure you typically receive, also what are your working conditions like and how about benifits too. Extra points for anyone in eastern Nebraska that answers.
