What's the deal with Edge Wireless?
http://edgewireless.com/ »
Are they a reseller? Or an MVNO? Are they part of Cingular somehow? Here's the important question: Could I use a Cingular SIM with an Edge Wireless branded phone?
Here's my thought - I'd really like to get a Nokia E70, which is $100 less (at the no contract price) than it is from Nokia. I won't be so optimistic as to think they'll honor my Cingular employee discount, but getting the phone for $100 cheaper appeals to me. And there's an Edge store not terribly far from me.
Does anyone know if my Cingular SIM will work?
AT&T focusing on singular brand within the US.
I found this line in an article to be undeniably hilarious. I still laugh every time I see it.

PDA and Smartphone?
I've noticed a difference in price for Data of the two. If I do the Blackjack, my sales rep tells me I can do $29.99 unlimited data for smart phone and that gives me 1000 messages too. However, the 8525 is $49.99 for unlimited data for PDA and 1000 messages.
Anyone in SE Michigan (248 area code) want to take over my contract?
The advantage for the potential recepient is I would give you my lightly used SLVR L7 and my 2 year contract which is about halfway done. I also have about 4400 rollover minutes banked. You would have to pay the transfer fee which is $36 I believe.
This would be a great way to get Cingular service with only 1 year remaining on the contract and a very nice phone for a cheap price. Also if you are a heavy minute user, the rollover anytime ...

61M customers and counting
I've said it before, and I'll continue to say it. The only way Vz could pass Cingular (customer-wise) will be by them buying Alltel.
at&t handsets
I suspect the answer is 'soon', but I came across one rep that projected September or later. (seems far off).

AT&T Mobility
I know the initial thought was to leave it at AT&T , but that just seems so infeasible to me as a consumer. I would think that they're going to do something indicating wireless with the name and I've read a lot of references to AT&T Mobility in other press releases about Cingular's quarterly results today.
Has anybody else heard anything? I kind of like the ring of AT&T Mobility, and it could just as easily be branded under that New AT&T.
"AT&T Mobility, part of the New AT&T."
Oh, and I have also read some opposition to the "Mobility" portion as many of the ...
