My January 2007 issue of Consumer Reports arrived in this morning's mail. In it they published the results of their September 2006 online survey of 42,921 CR subscribers, reflecting those respondents' overall satisfaction with their cellular telephone service in twenty major metropolitan areas.

What is the deal? Should I get the push to talk? It's free mobile to mobile right? So, why should I pay $10 extra a month for contacting someone for free. I need to be convinced. Is it worth it?

does anyone know how to access phone settings (sound, display, etc) i cant seem to find it.

Also, is there anyway to upload a document onto the device and edit it on the device, and then transfer it back to the computer?

If you all are looking for a new phone the V365 is the one to get. I've had the phone for about a month and it gets better every day. I love this phone. I almost made a very costly mistake. I am planning to switch from Verizon to Cingular as soon as my contract expires. I have been monitoring my Verizon account on line for several months now, and it shows how much time is left before I can use my “New Every Two” and upgrade my phone. I assumed that date was also the end of contract date….WRONG!! I have been anxiously waiting for that date (December 10th) so I can switch to Cingular and get a new phone. A little voice in my head told me I should call Verizon just to be sure. Turns out, that upgrade date is two freakin’ months before the contract expires!! So I've heard that the N75 will be no better than EDGE devices because it doesn't carry hsdpa. Is this difference going to be so bad that you notice a huge Cingular Video, and MediaNet surfing?? I'm in love with 3g, especially during football season, and I'm ready to upgrade from the cu500. I just don't want to downgrade for a device that is TOO much slower. I can live with a little bit slower.

I am looking for a phone to use for web browsing, e-mail, Outlook sync, etc. I live in a rural area that will not have 3G until late next year at the earliest. Would the Pearl suit my needs? Does it mangle web pages with the Blackberry browser? Should I lean toward the Blackjack or 8525 instead?

If I get another call about a BlackJack having issues connecting to Cingular Video I am going to 0101110010101110100 myself!!! 😡 UGH! 😡

I see on Cingulars website that the Pearl does not show that it is 3G, what give? Why release a new phone without this capability???

I am graduating college in three weeks, I have been a sales rep at cingular for over 2 years and I was looking to maybe move up in the company. I am rep in Atlanta so i am near HQ so there are a lot of jobs in the company where I live.

The question I have is, has anybody here left sales for something else in the company. If so, what is the best way to go about getting a job in corporate? In my two years as a rep none of the people I have worked with have moved up from sales. Is cingular good about hiring from within?

We've currently got an old AT&T family plan. We were living in New York until I got a new job and we moved to Boston last year. At the time we were told we couldn't switch to a local number without also switching to a Cingular plan, and there's no comparable plan for a comparable price. Plus we'd be moving around for a while, and then planned a wedding and didn't want to be changing phone numbers in the middle, etc... Now it's finally time to change, and time to bite the bullet and pay more for the same service.
